The Golf models prior to 2000 have solid metal bodies . I did have and 2004 Citi.com , and I think that the newer models have very light galvanised bodies and they shake and shudder like hell on the road in heavy rainy weather . Anyway I went back to BMW E30's and have a 316i in original condition with 162 400 km. I bought another 1995 Golf mk1 Chico model , 1.3, 4 speed ,99% original, good body with almost no rust.This car sits buck on the road in any weather . I'm deciding to. purchase a 2 liter automatic VW engine and doing a conversion so my wife can use it. I intend to widen the rear wheel archers and fit bigger rims and tyres .I currently have 14 inch 2003 velociti rims. I know it's going to be hard work . One thing I am going to do is design my own dashboard.

Yes I am south africa. The engine is a 1.8 8v with headers, 2inch exhaust with 2 boxes. A remapped computer box and a vw spec 272 degree camshaft
