I don't think there should be such a thing as "Old Taylor" and "New Taylor" because those are two completely unreal things, it's one girl who has simply evolved. Can you guys all say you are the same as when you were 17-21 now? When I was first a fan of Taylor at around 15 I was a teenager who just couldn't get anything right. Now I'm a 20 year old woman who is just trying to be happy. I'm very different to who I was 5 years ago, but I'd never expect any family member or friend to say " We want the old you back" because I simply grew up. The style of her music is different but the emotion is the same, you just need to listen for it.

Actually, it's a six-stringed instrument tuned like a standard guitar, but built, shaped, and styled like a banjo so that a player can get that banjo sound while still playing with guitar fingering. I've seen and heard both Swift and Keith Urban use it in their music. I'm not sure what the instrument is called, probably "banjitar" or "guitanjo." Interesting little instrument! And I'm sure Swift is laughing at all the mean people out there ... all the way to the bank!
