We need to simply pray for this person and not give into any prematurely-conceived responses. This person will only simply try to continually trigger you. Lets continue to pray for each other, the unbelievers, and for our pastors, including Pastor Driscoll. I am a son of a pastor/missionary. I have Muslim friends and family. My family and I have been persecuted because of what we believe for many years. However, we must continue to follow the path of humility, love, and peace, love those who do not align with what we believe... no matter what it takes. Fellowship with others and find Godly friends who can be accountability partners. At least one who you talk to on a regular basis and express where your short fallings in faith are and can encourage you while holding you accountable and you can do the same for them.
HERE IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN JESUS RETURNS: While painting a picture with words of the return of Christ will not do the real event justice, it will however help you to better understand the utmost urgency and necessity for you to be ready for it. When Jesus comes, He will come riding on the clouds with His angels in a mighty explosion of power and glory beyond description. He will suddenly overtake the whole earth with great thunderstorms, earthquakes, winds, hail, and an all-consuming, devouring fire. Jesus will rip the sky open and come down flying on the living creatures, traveling swiftly on the wings of the wind. Smoke will pour out from His nostrils, consuming flames and burning coals will spew out of His mouth. The LORD will cover Himself with darkness and surround Himself with thick clouds. Out of the brightness of His presence, the clouds will advance with hailstones and bolts of lightning and flashes of fire. The valleys of the sea will be exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at the anger of the LORD, at the blast of breath from His nostrils. Jesus will rout His enemies with bolts of lightning and mighty power, raining down fire and sulfur upon the wicked, burning them to a crisp. Picture yourself standing out in open country and in the distance, on the eastern horizon, imagine the biggest, strongest, darkest, most ferocious, most spectacular, most violent thunderstorm you can imagine, then multiply it by thousands upon thousands upon thousands, and then add raining fire and brimstone to it, and see it coming your way, rapidly. As it approaches, it is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It spans the entire eastern horizon. As it approaches you with great speed, the very foundations of the earth shake and the ground it passes over is destroyed and the sky itself is consumed from one end of the horizon to the other, disappearing with a roar, rolling up like a scroll. This scenario I just described, I described it in slow motion. When this awesome event actually does happen, it will all happen suddenly, in an instant. That’s what Jesus was talking about when He said that He will come quickly (SEE REV 22:20). You will only have time to realize that it's the end of the world and to react instinctively. Psalm 91 must be in your bones so you will not run in fear. The thought, the emotion, the overwhelming passion, the fire and desire to meet Jesus in the clouds when He comes must be in your bones so you will not run in fear. Remain in Jesus and be ready at all times at that ominous time child of God. Remember, it will be imminent, right at the door, right after the second WOE and abomination of desolation. It is the third WOE.
