Large batteries will help alot with the night time output! Also when you select the cargo ship's you are loading for the contract, there is an arrow menu option allowing you to change the priority of delivering that contract's goods so you can set them higher than the buildings at least even if you cant change the building priorities! Got a dumb idea that I'll be working on shortly. Just feed everything from each individual multi refinery into a single belt and then use the belt interconnects to sort them on to a bus. I think it'll work. I'll try it soon enough.
I think the power issue is due to the maximum current available from each battery as opposed from the solar cells. Each small solar cell can output more current than each small battery are able to... so you need more batteries than solar cells actually powering the base (as opposed to those charging the batteries) to support high nighttime usage... but more solar cells to power the extra batteries. Edit: and you say you need more batteries when I restart the vod (I stop the vod when I type a comment).
Is there a reason you have the refineries set in the order you do? Could possibly have avoided having to criss-cross so many conveyers by just switching the refinery production.
It seems like with the way the game handles the Regolith "richness" we are better off keeping inputs from each mine type together (iron rich with iron rich, etc), has anyone done A-B testing to see if it actually matters?

I'm not sure it matters. In future I might go for longer with underground mining before going to the surface.
This game looks great. But seems buggy. Think ill give it a miss at launch. Will check back in a few months. see if the devs fix stuff.
The dev is very active. There have been 3 updates today so hopefully some of the nagging little issues get sorted before launch.
So a playthrough for a game not yet released, devs think its a great idea and I just go straight to ignore
