I really like your view on different build we can find on pvp, i think the same, some people complain about getting kitted but its a part of the game.

Shield makes it effortless.
Against stun gun stay more than 120m , coral shields, pulse armor, or just play heavyweight to win the dps race :P also high stagger weapon usually eats them.
As @purpseven1854 pointed out, using any type of shield renders it ineffective. The buildup of status effects is significantly reduced; an instant guard isn't even necessary. Simply having the shield open is sufficient.

Much of what you're saying isn't explained in the game. How did you figure it out?
This game could hit main stream if it had a multiplayer pve mode and a ranked ladder. Cant wait for the DLC lol

You have missiles, the laser rifles, and two linear rifles (and that's not saying the rifles are good), everything else is horrible at long range. If you're cheeky, you can do some nutty manual aimed fasan/ zooka/ grenade shots at long range, but there's no real long range combat in this game.
