I feel like i have to explain something here, kama is a better arts looper imo because : 1. The arts up is independent of the battery so you don’t have to consider losing out on refund if you save the battery on one. 2. Her arts up is a guaranteed 30% rather than a RNG 20% 3. If you are really nitpicking kama has a shorter NP animation time That’s it, im not saying overall utility.

since you have append 2 on spish, I personally feel like using both castoria's s2 and s3 on first wave, and save s1 for 2nd and 3rd wave, this lets me farm zerks with arctic and superbg
With append 2 unlocked, you can farm with spistar without using mystic code. Just use castoria's 1st skill at 2nd and 3rd turn, don't use it at first turn. Ofc, we can use any CEs with this strategy -------------------- For calculation: Turn 1 10% (from append) or higher + 50% from spistar 3rd skill + 40% from each castoria 2nd skill And for each turn, NP bar will refund 75~100% depends on class and enemy units.
Max grailed, 2k fous, NP 1 Spishtar with 2nd append maxed here. My order is -> Spishtar S1S3, Both castoria S2S3-> wave 1 clear, 1 castoria S1-> wave 2 clear, Castoria S1, spishtar s2-> Wave 3 clear. With this setup she loops any my tested berserker nodes with non-MLB black grail. Also notice that no command code needed for this. Edit: Also FGA consistent.
Same skill order same NP lvls and gold fous , I slap my royal icing CE which is like lvl 84 and let me do higher dmg than a non MLB Black Grail for some reason . I mean I'm just casually testing them out but it's probably cuz of stats more than the buffs and I just want to throw this here .
@@Hannibal13 well for my S.Ishtar with my Arctic MC at lvl 5 the average with Royal Icing is around 196327 on wave 3 , and 189182 for non MLB Black grail . Not much but royal icing also helps with refund so I say go with it if you leveled it up enough since mine is lvl 84 if not you can stick with Black grail and if it's MLBed no need for any other CE to loop S.Ishtar

I was testing Chen Gong lvl 100, 20% append, double Castoria, A Fragment of 2004 MC, and non-MLB Black Grail, and it was getting 68% refund on the Egg of Truth first round's stage. Now I get like 73% refund with lvl 15 Royal Icing, so I can put Tamamo on the 4th slot and then use the remaining Castoria S1.
It's the same problem with Okita Summer. A lot of people says she's bad because of the chance of debuff/stun. But I have been using her for a while year, and she's indeed good. You just need to remember to only use her all of skills on the same turn you launch her NP. If she got stunned, the 2nd skill will protect her with evade.
Did people not know this? Direwolf did a video on this with many units with ways to loop by using an order or mc to help with extra charge. Guess that's why some arts loopers get undervalued. People just suck at skill placement. Brought to you by the space Ishtar loop fan club.

Sometimes people just want to see big numbers and go brain dead then when they don't loop are like "why if Castoria is meant to be OP!?!" and the likes. Some people just don't know propper team building, how to use skills in an optimal order or fashion or just simply, don't know how important even CEs are. Like no joke in another youtuber comment section there was this dude that was bashing Castoria saying how bad she was because he couldn't loop, after SEVERAL messages we found out his mistake was that he didn't know berserkers and assassins give less refund than other classes and that he was just using everything in one go instead of using skills in a better order.

I already did like 200+ runs with Spishtar and Double Castoria. I just go and press buttons like a machine for all these runs. Effective, but... I feel brain rot...
I use this tactic with Musashi when 2nd battle only has 2 enemies. Another way to effectively loop is to give the looper as much damage as possible. I don't have the mystic code that gives NP gain but I do have a Tamamo with lvl 10 1st and 3rd skills. I basically just give Musashi all the buffs from herself and from the 2 Castorias then switch out 1 Castoria with Tamamo to buff her more. Looping becomes easier because Musashi overkills or overgauges faster. Without Tamamo, Musashi only gets up to 96-98% with just the two Castorias even with Musashi's 2nd skill maxed out.
Using the 20% battery with “NP Gain” and the “Arts UP” from each Castoria in the first turn is a better option that using a the full 50% battery from each one on different turns, especially if you have Append on SpIshtar. That’s how I’ve been looping my NP1 SpIshtar with a full Berserker Node.

The way I use double castoria is by equiping a good ce with added np gain. I prefer to use mlb painting summer since it comes with the essentials for arts setups. And then I come equipped with a plugsuit and a backup support. With paracelsus's buff on his third skill, it makes it so you have get np gain for three turns
@@remainer Castoria doesn't need a good CE to be honest. But for me I would use an Overcharge CE. If you don't know what means is it adds another 100% thats 200% when you fire her NP means your invulnerable for two attacks unlike the usual one attack of invulnerability. The CE I use is One who wishes Salvation. thats lets me fire my Castoria's NP at 300% very useful especially at boss battle. You'll never use her NP when you're farming anyway. For NP batteries servants I recommend something like The Black Grail. What it does is increases the damage of your servant's NP note that more NP damage more NP refund.
Painting summer has mixed stats which kills it. I prefer the Miyu CE and Orangette depending on which one works better. In the future we get "Like a Lady" which gives 20% npgain with 50 charge. And "Ocean Flyer" which gives 15% np and arts dmg and 50 charge. Both all atk.
I managed to get tamamo a while back so I just start with her using S1 and S3, plug suit in a friend's castoria, and then use all the skills on my spishtar (or any other arts looper for that matter). Always 100% refund, and if people are nitpicky about how that wastes time on the run, better that than not getting the arts buff on spishtar's S3 and losing out on an np on turn 3 and the final wave. Just plug suiting anyone that has a targeted or full party arts buff like caster gil or paracelsus guarantees the run, but this is just my own observation.
Why use black grail instead of some arts damage CE with 50% starting charge? I've literally never needed the extra damage from black grail except in CQs
Black Grail is the one thing arts is famous for, plus without it sometimes the damage isn't enuf. Plus the best loopers are those which can BG loop Berserkers without Plug suit
I always use MLB BG because my Spishtar only NP1, so sometimes on lvl90 node and neutral class enemies, she could kill the final wave boss without any extra step. Unless it's a roulette or point event, then I'm gonna use the event CE.
This is why I tell my NA-only friends to level their Mana Loading first if they're split between Appends or lvl 102. With a 50% CE or 50% battery on the DPS, plus lvl 1 Mana Loading, you can activate both Castoria's 2nd and 3rd skill at T1, and save the 1st skill for later. The only problem with this is just weaker damage, but assuming you brought a class advantage DPS, or good neutral DPSes like Spishtar or Kama, the Arts buff should be enough to beat Wave 1 on most nodes. But yeah, assuming they don't have Mana Loading or can't have 60% NP at the start, I usually recommend just use the charges you need from Castoria (e.g. if you only need 50%, use all the buffs from 1 Castoria and Arts from the other Castoria; if you only need 30% use 1 first skill; if you only need 20% use the second skill). But well, this isn't really a problem if you have Oberon xD
the way I've been doing it, is with a 50% bat CE. her second append opened, not leveled at all, and using both castorias S2 and S3 on turn 1, and leaving their S1 to use in case she doesn't get enough refund, most of the times I don't even need to use spishtar's S3 at all
Wouldn’t it be better to run a CE with stronger effects and no starting battery, instead using Spishtar’s S3? That way, you could run an event ce, Chaldea Lunchtime, Mona Lisa, or something else that provides more useful effects when the 50% starting charge isn’t necessary?
In my experience with Spishtar-looping with Double Castoria (specially if you have Second Append skill), I normally use Spishtar's 3rd first, then combo'd with both Castorias' 2nd-3rd skill. Doesn't matter much if the Spishtar battery misses the Arts buff or you bring the wrong CE or Mystic Code dress, this strat basically ensures that on the next waves you'll still have the option for both Castorias' 1st skill for the missing 20 or less charge (that is, if you're facing waves in 3/3/x format). Edit: I hope Plushie sees this so people can try this too for more successful runs Another Edit: BTW, this strat only works if you have her Second Append ONLY (even at Level 1, you just need the extra 10% charge from the start) And Another Edit: To people who'd wonder if she needs Plugsuit Dress, of course this also ensures that your Spishtar will loop, you just need atleast an extra 10% starting charge and a normal wave format (3/3/x) to successfully loop.
Can someone explain why when doing farm or boss kill, people never do like chain arts, buster or quick, its always card thats not match. is there a reason behind it? "im still new"

As someone who spent 1200+ quartz on a single copy of Castoria, here is my strat since append coins appeared early in game: Unlock Spishtar Append Skill 2, no need to level it Farming Strat Turn 1 - 10% from Append + Spishtar S1 & S3 (50%) + 2 Castoria S2 & S3 (40%) [damage won't be a problem since turn 1 nodes have generally low HP] = 100% Turn 2 - Assuming you got 70%+NP, one Castoria S1 (30%) = 100%+ [if you did not get 70%+ NP, use MC on turn 1 like NP up from 2004 or MC on turn 2 like the third skill from blue summer] Turn 3 - one Castoria S1 + Spishtar S2 + MC NP up/ATK up/NP Dmg Up to kill high HP enemies You can get 70% NP on Turns 2 and 3 on berserker nodes (I tested with NP2 spishtar & NP1 jarcher), but if NP gauge falls short, use MC when needed.
Should be noted an easy way to get the ball rolling is by having a CE equipped that provides starting charge (MLB Demonic Bodhisattva is a good one, 60% is the perfect number with the remaining 40% filled by both Castoria's S2's, which also boosts NP gain as well). Stacking both Castoria's S3's out the gate is obviously required, but that leaves you with the 50% battery from Spishtar, and the two 30% batteries from your Castorias. Another alternative (the one I use) is a MLB Kaleidoscope. Popping both Castoria's S3's and Spishtar's S1, use NP. Refund is usually enough for me to swing to W2 with 50% or more. Drop one Castoria's S1 and S2, NP again. Usually end up with around 60/70% refund from that, swing to W3. Sometimes I can get away with only dropping my other Castoria's S1 for the remaining 30%, leaving me with her last S2 and Spishtar's 50% battery left for harder challenges that require a 4th space beam to the face, as the refund you get from the 3rd NP is very rarely below 30% and usually lets you loop for a 4th time.
If you have the append skill up, just use both castorias skill 2 and 3 on turn 1 + space ishtar's battery. Then you can pretty much turn off your brain and she will still loop easily.
A big problem with people trying to loop is that they try to slap black grail on everything even when it's not necessary for damage. It ends up being detrimental due to lacking ease of use & not being able to just 1 turn skills and 3x NP. As opposed to just using something like Smiling Face or even a generic arts up CE. Art of the Poisonous Snake is a highly underrated CE for arts looping, arguably better, easier to obtain, less cost, and more consistency than mlb black grail.
agree with it being underrated and whatnot except it being better or more consistent. black grail makes it easier to not only kill what ur atking but gives better overkill/gauge which is needed when considering looping nodes that have waves with high hp enemies that are harder to kill which is frequent on the most efficient event nodes and lotto nodes. Another thing some ppl don't know is that specific class enemies give low or high np refund when atking. Specifically berserkers and assassin enemies give the lowest np refund meaning harder to loop while caster enemies give the most. BG is also better since it stacks better than an extra 40% arts on top of 100% rather than stacking np buff that stack multiplicative to atk and card type buff dealing far more dmg. BG is just a far more consistent option in most cases unless you don't have a maxed castoria. But ye Black Grail is definitely isn't ez to get let along mlb but in the case you do have it mlb and lvl 100 it carries insane consistency.
Exactly how I do it with my NP2 Spishtar, pop both Castorias S2 and one of their S3s alongside STs S3/S1 T1. T2 pop a charisma and the other S3 to top off. Then T3 pop the last one and STs S2 for extra np damage.
Just been farming the ember extremes for the most part. Been using Painting Summer (10% NP DMG, 10 NP Gain, 50% starting NP) on Spishtar, turn 1 I do both Castorias skill 2 and 3, Spishtar skills 1 and 3, then I NP. On turn 2 I use one of the Castoria's skill 1 then NP, and on the 3rd turn, I do other Castoria skill 1, Spishtar Skill 2, Artic Mystic Code skill 2, then NP. Been using the artic Mystic Code (only one left to level atm, and want to cap everything off), and has no problem with the first two waves (first is ~30k hp each, 2nd is ~40k hp each). The last wave has a single enemy with ~130k hp, and if the NP doesn't kill, it's normally in range where the other attacks will finish it off. This is with all the enemies being neutral normally. Of course if you're still lacking in damage, with Castoria having a tirple art deck + an attack dmg up NP, you'll likely be able to get at least one Castoria NP charged by turn 3 to help things out.
My Castoria doesn't have maxed out skills left (and I don't have Spishtar, lol), so I use a CE with battery and Paracelsus on top of the double Castoria thing. You can farm irregular waves EASILY. It's just a matter of experimenting a bit and figuring out what works.
You could also just use plug with bride Sure it might take a few sec longer But if it saves you the trouble of not knowing when to use batteries i say its worth it *Its not like you actually farm yourself when FGA exists*
I just solve the issue with a plugsuit, which means another support which means more damage. But I guess this is good too. Thanks for showing me how to do it with fewer clicks and more reliability. Still less damage, though : P
Ironically I guess this is where getting a 2nd copy of Spishtar helps from the GSSR. At NP2 she loops with the help of the avenger 3 or 4% NP after turn hitting her around 100-103% NP wave 2. Wave 3 NP is always consistent.
Another alternative that doesn't require any Mystic code buffs for farming, tested on all berserkers node as well: Info about my comp: No CE equipped, my Spishtar is NP2, and 2nd append unlocked for at least the 10%, also 10/10/10 across the board. 1. Spishtar S1 & S3, Both Castoria's S2 & S3 -> NP. 2. The NP refunded over 80% for me (I had Spishtar S3 Arts) , so S1 from one Castoria -> NP. 3. 80% again, the other Castoria S1 & Spishtar S2 (Arts) for NP damage -> NP. This gives Spishtar NP gain buffs from both Castoria's and hence not needing the Frag2004 NP gain buff. Tests may vary depending on if Spishtar NP1 (mine is NP2), if you get Spishtar Arts buff from S3, and if enemies have more HP (I tested on Berserkers training grounds Expert). I think the S3 arts buff was not relative for me (at NP2), since I refunded well over 70%, S1 from Castoria gives 30% so all the % needed was 70%.
Figured out this after 1 week of Castoira loop Testing. Works even better with a level 10 append Mana loading. 20%+50%+(2x20% S2 Castoria) (assumes high NP level where dmg is rarely a problem).
With SpIshtar's S2 unlocked (10%), her own battery (50%) and both Castoria's S2 (40%), it leaves you with two S1 Charismas and 30% batteries for the second and third waves. and you only need NP1 and Bond 6, so it's not impossible to have at this point. Failing that though, Mages or Summer Arts MCs can make up the charge.
i mainly run Summer Musashi for most of my castoria looping needs. no need to think as much about battery since summer musashi herself has a 50% np gain buff. if i need a batter, i can either use a waver or a mystic code for the job
Or use Lolinci lol. I find her to be fun to be experiment with. She doesn't have fancy big battery, but has guarantee 40% loop regardless of enemies class or how many they are. She is really useable even against 1-1-x node.

I've been using Spishtar (50%), my castoria (20% and arts up), my nero bride (30%) for turn 1, and then using castoria s1 for turn 2 and either tag in more battery for turn 3 or using a mystic code with battery. I like this style because it doesn't require support (such as story missions) but doesn't loop quite as well as 2 castoria + Bride combo (or 2 cas and tamomo for really big damage).
I've been wondering for a while... If I'm looking for the highest possible damage on turn 3 without plugsuit, uncertain buffs and class advantage, who is preferable between Musashi Berserker, Kiara Summer, Space Ishtar and Kama Avenger? Not only on Berserker, but on Assassin as well. It seems to be a bit of a toss-up and I'm legitimately curious who would be able to bring the most to the table in a difficult lottery quest. While on paper Kiara's damage looks pretty massive, it's not often that she can get all of her stacks to the final wave, Space Ishtar and Kama Avenger seem a little bit luck-based in terms of buff/debuff success and Musashi has a fairly tough time looping Berserkers without starting NP. Has anyone tested Musashi or Summer Kiara's viability in up coming lottery farming to give a few impressions?

Right now im using Arts of Poisonous Snake 4* CE for my Spishtar NP1 with Double Castoria so far. No problem looping 1st and 2nd turn well if in 3rd turn fall short in NP Battery im gonna use her skill
If you have Mana append at at least lvl 1, one thing I like to do us use SPishtar S3 and both Castorias' S2. That way, you get 30% of leeway on all turns
me who has a np1 spishtar and non mlb black grail , im just using plug suit and waver on last wave i dont mind many clickings if its for efficientsy and effectiveness to all classes thats all matters to me
personally i use T1 both castoria S2+3 on S Ishtar, S Ishtar s1+3 T2 castoria s1 T3 other castoria s1 +S Ishtar S2 no problems on pretty much anything. long as its 3 targets wave 1 and 2. 2 target waves its more hit n miss dont have append? use tropical summer or mage asociation for starting NP ( or any other mystic code that gives 10% cb i may be forgeting)
i really hate how they put oberon vitch n kama summer close by . Sure it might change in NA but i didn't get normal kama with effin 1k f2p sqs (will try again this year thanks to Castoria coming early) , so how the hell will i get her summer form ?!?

Hey, just find the vid and i would like to know how much of an impact NP4 and NP5 / BBG and the mystic code make in this showcases, regarding the np refund (basically, can a np1/2 maxed fou's and lvl 100 sp ishtar farm with double castoria, loop consistently for 3 turn clear, against non berserker enemies in most nodes?). Thats because i have been playing fgo for 4 months and my resources are super limited. However, i have a friend with np5 sp ishtar with Super Kscope (i can 3 turn almost everything up to LB3 which is where i am in the story), i have my own castoria, and waver + merlin, and i was thinking in saving sq to at least np2 Kama summer once she is NA, because i won't spend money for sq outside GSSR. You need more than np1 spishtar to use this tho. I tried to do this at np1 spishtar and it doesn't work. If you have np1 spishtar you need to unlock 2nd append skill to farm at zerker nodes. Just use both castoria's 2nd skill and 3rd skill, and as well as spishtar 1st and 3rd skill, then mc 2k4 3rd skill then use castoria's 1st skill battery to charge at 2nd and 3rd wave. If the rng art steroids connect, you can refund your np to the max at 2nd skill. If it fails however, you'll need to use the 30% battery on 2nd wave and as well as mc 2k4 1st skill to refund around 70~ish np and use the last 30 np battery at 3rd wave.
just got spishtar yesterday, i must say that she works great with paracelsus + double castoria. the np refund is insane my np charge is still full even at 4t
I have not once had this problem because I didn’t know burning all her abilities was the strat. Doesn’t matter who my attacker is I always use just enough skills to get to the next wave

They are side-grades 99% of the time, I made a video when summer kama dropped and that was also my conclusion.
Only issue is that some enemies can resist charm

Max grailed, 2k fous, NP 1 Spishtar with 2nd append maxed here. My order is -> Spishtar S1S3, Both castoria S2S3-> wave 1 clear, 1 castoria S1-> wave 2 clear, Castoria S1, spishtar s2-> Wave 3 clear. With this setup she loops any my tested berserker nodes with non-MLB black grail. Also notice that no command code needed for this.
Edit: Also FGA consistent.
Same skill order same NP lvls and gold fous , I slap my royal icing CE which is like lvl 84 and let me do higher dmg than a non MLB Black Grail for some reason . I mean I'm just casually testing them out but it's probably cuz of stats more than the buffs and I just want to throw this here .

@@Hannibal13 well for my S.Ishtar with my Arctic MC at lvl 5 the average with Royal Icing is around 196327 on wave 3 , and 189182 for non MLB Black grail . Not much but royal icing also helps with refund so I say go with it if you leveled it up enough since mine is lvl 84 if not you can stick with Black grail and if it's MLBed no need for any other CE to loop S.Ishtar

I was testing Chen Gong lvl 100, 20% append, double Castoria, A Fragment of 2004 MC, and non-MLB Black Grail, and it was getting 68% refund on the Egg of Truth first round's stage. Now I get like 73% refund with lvl 15 Royal Icing, so I can put Tamamo on the 4th slot and then use the remaining Castoria S1.
It's the same problem with Okita Summer. A lot of people says she's bad because of the chance of debuff/stun. But I have been using her for a while year, and she's indeed good. You just need to remember to only use her all of skills on the same turn you launch her NP. If she got stunned, the 2nd skill will protect her with evade.
That is true for other servants as well, timing is everything for a lot of servants.
Still can use similar servants with same kits without the debuffs, if she isn't special except for the class, then she isn't at all

Did people not know this? Direwolf did a video on this with many units with ways to loop by using an order or mc to help with extra charge. Guess that's why some arts loopers get undervalued. People just suck at skill placement.

Sometimes people just want to see big numbers and go brain dead then when they don't loop are like "why if Castoria is meant to be OP!?!" and the likes. Some people just don't know propper team building, how to use skills in an optimal order or fashion or just simply, don't know how important even CEs are.
Like no joke in another youtuber comment section there was this dude that was bashing Castoria saying how bad she was because he couldn't loop, after SEVERAL messages we found out his mistake was that he didn't know berserkers and assassins give less refund than other classes and that he was just using everything in one go instead of using skills in a better order.

I use this tactic with Musashi when 2nd battle only has 2 enemies. Another way to effectively loop is to give the looper as much damage as possible. I don't have the mystic code that gives NP gain but I do have a Tamamo with lvl 10 1st and 3rd skills. I basically just give Musashi all the buffs from herself and from the 2 Castorias then switch out 1 Castoria with Tamamo to buff her more. Looping becomes easier because Musashi overkills or overgauges faster. Without Tamamo, Musashi only gets up to 96-98% with just the two Castorias even with Musashi's 2nd skill maxed out.
Using the 20% battery with “NP Gain” and the “Arts UP” from each Castoria in the first turn is a better option that using a the full 50% battery from each one on different turns, especially if you have Append on SpIshtar. That’s how I’ve been looping my NP1 SpIshtar with a full Berserker Node.

The way I use double castoria is by equiping a good ce with added np gain. I prefer to use mlb painting summer since it comes with the essentials for arts setups. And then I come equipped with a plugsuit and a backup support. With paracelsus's buff on his third skill, it makes it so you have get np gain for three turns

@@remainer Castoria doesn't need a good CE to be honest. But for me I would use an Overcharge CE. If you don't know what means is it adds another 100% thats 200% when you fire her NP means your invulnerable for two attacks unlike the usual one attack of invulnerability. The CE I use is One who wishes Salvation. thats lets me fire my Castoria's NP at 300% very useful especially at boss battle. You'll never use her NP when you're farming anyway. For NP batteries servants I recommend something like The Black Grail. What it does is increases the damage of your servant's NP note that more NP damage more NP refund.

Painting summer has mixed stats which kills it. I prefer the Miyu CE and Orangette depending on which one works better.
In the future we get "Like a Lady" which gives 20% npgain with 50 charge. And "Ocean Flyer" which gives 15% np and arts dmg and 50 charge. Both all atk.
I managed to get tamamo a while back so I just start with her using S1 and S3, plug suit in a friend's castoria, and then use all the skills on my spishtar (or any other arts looper for that matter). Always 100% refund, and if people are nitpicky about how that wastes time on the run, better that than not getting the arts buff on spishtar's S3 and losing out on an np on turn 3 and the final wave. Just plug suiting anyone that has a targeted or full party arts buff like caster gil or paracelsus guarantees the run, but this is just my own observation.

Why use black grail instead of some arts damage CE with 50% starting charge? I've literally never needed the extra damage from black grail except in CQs
Black Grail is the one thing arts is famous for, plus without it sometimes the damage isn't enuf. Plus the best loopers are those which can BG loop Berserkers without Plug suit
I always use MLB BG because my Spishtar only NP1, so sometimes on lvl90 node and neutral class enemies, she could kill the final wave boss without any extra step.
Unless it's a roulette or point event, then I'm gonna use the event CE.

This is why I tell my NA-only friends to level their Mana Loading first if they're split between Appends or lvl 102. With a 50% CE or 50% battery on the DPS, plus lvl 1 Mana Loading, you can activate both Castoria's 2nd and 3rd skill at T1, and save the 1st skill for later. The only problem with this is just weaker damage, but assuming you brought a class advantage DPS, or good neutral DPSes like Spishtar or Kama, the Arts buff should be enough to beat Wave 1 on most nodes.
But yeah, assuming they don't have Mana Loading or can't have 60% NP at the start, I usually recommend just use the charges you need from Castoria (e.g. if you only need 50%, use all the buffs from 1 Castoria and Arts from the other Castoria; if you only need 30% use 1 first skill; if you only need 20% use the second skill). But well, this isn't really a problem if you have Oberon xD
the way I've been doing it, is with a 50% bat CE. her second append opened, not leveled at all, and using both castorias S2 and S3 on turn 1, and leaving their S1 to use in case she doesn't get enough refund, most of the times I don't even need to use spishtar's S3 at all
Same for me with sushi, except that I end up being forced to use a castoria’s S1 on T2 and T3 on berserker nodes
Wouldn’t it be better to run a CE with stronger effects and no starting battery, instead using Spishtar’s S3? That way, you could run an event ce, Chaldea Lunchtime, Mona Lisa, or something else that provides more useful effects when the 50% starting charge isn’t necessary?

In my experience with Spishtar-looping with Double Castoria (specially if you have Second Append skill), I normally use Spishtar's 3rd first, then combo'd with both Castorias' 2nd-3rd skill.
Doesn't matter much if the Spishtar battery misses the Arts buff or you bring the wrong CE or Mystic Code dress, this strat basically ensures that on the next waves you'll still have the option for both Castorias' 1st skill for the missing 20 or less charge (that is, if you're facing waves in 3/3/x format).
Edit: I hope Plushie sees this so people can try this too for more successful runs
Another Edit: BTW, this strat only works if you have her Second Append ONLY (even at Level 1, you just need the extra 10% charge from the start)
And Another Edit: To people who'd wonder if she needs Plugsuit Dress, of course this also ensures that your Spishtar will loop, you just need atleast an extra 10% starting charge and a normal wave format (3/3/x) to successfully loop.

As someone who spent 1200+ quartz on a single copy of Castoria, here is my strat since append coins appeared early in game:
Unlock Spishtar Append Skill 2, no need to level it
Farming Strat
Turn 1 - 10% from Append + Spishtar S1 & S3 (50%) + 2 Castoria S2 & S3 (40%) [damage won't be a problem since turn 1 nodes have generally low HP] = 100%
Turn 2 - Assuming you got 70%+NP, one Castoria S1 (30%) = 100%+ [if you did not get 70%+ NP, use MC on turn 1 like NP up from 2004 or MC on turn 2 like the third skill from blue summer]
Turn 3 - one Castoria S1 + Spishtar S2 + MC NP up/ATK up/NP Dmg Up to kill high HP enemies
You can get 70% NP on Turns 2 and 3 on berserker nodes (I tested with NP2 spishtar & NP1 jarcher), but if NP gauge falls short, use MC when needed.
basically use all the high NP gauge fillers on turn 1 (Spishtar S3 & Jarcher S2) so you can split the remaining NP charges on turns 2 & 3
Should be noted an easy way to get the ball rolling is by having a CE equipped that provides starting charge (MLB Demonic Bodhisattva is a good one, 60% is the perfect number with the remaining 40% filled by both Castoria's S2's, which also boosts NP gain as well). Stacking both Castoria's S3's out the gate is obviously required, but that leaves you with the 50% battery from Spishtar, and the two 30% batteries from your Castorias.
Another alternative (the one I use) is a MLB Kaleidoscope. Popping both Castoria's S3's and Spishtar's S1, use NP. Refund is usually enough for me to swing to W2 with 50% or more. Drop one Castoria's S1 and S2, NP again. Usually end up with around 60/70% refund from that, swing to W3. Sometimes I can get away with only dropping my other Castoria's S1 for the remaining 30%, leaving me with her last S2 and Spishtar's 50% battery left for harder challenges that require a 4th space beam to the face, as the refund you get from the 3rd NP is very rarely below 30% and usually lets you loop for a 4th time.
If you have the append skill up, just use both castorias skill 2 and 3 on turn 1 + space ishtar's battery.
Then you can pretty much turn off your brain and she will still loop easily.
A big problem with people trying to loop is that they try to slap black grail on everything even when it's not necessary for damage.
It ends up being detrimental due to lacking ease of use & not being able to just 1 turn skills and 3x NP.
As opposed to just using something like Smiling Face or even a generic arts up CE.
Art of the Poisonous Snake is a highly underrated CE for arts looping, arguably better, easier to obtain, less cost, and more consistency than mlb black grail.

agree with it being underrated and whatnot except it being better or more consistent. black grail makes it easier to not only kill what ur atking but gives better overkill/gauge which is needed when considering looping nodes that have waves with high hp enemies that are harder to kill which is frequent on the most efficient event nodes and lotto nodes. Another thing some ppl don't know is that specific class enemies give low or high np refund when atking. Specifically berserkers and assassin enemies give the lowest np refund meaning harder to loop while caster enemies give the most. BG is also better since it stacks better than an extra 40% arts on top of 100% rather than stacking np buff that stack multiplicative to atk and card type buff dealing far more dmg. BG is just a far more consistent option in most cases unless you don't have a maxed castoria.
But ye Black Grail is definitely isn't ez to get let along mlb but in the case you do have it mlb and lvl 100 it carries insane consistency.
I use Miyu CE or Orangette for their NP gain, the latter has bonus NP damage making it even more effective.
If damage isn't an issue I generally skip the castoria charismas and use them on t2 and t3 to top off spishtar (only works with append 2)
Exactly how I do it with my NP2 Spishtar, pop both Castorias S2 and one of their S3s alongside STs S3/S1 T1. T2 pop a charisma and the other S3 to top off. Then T3 pop the last one and STs S2 for extra np damage.
Just been farming the ember extremes for the most part. Been using Painting Summer (10% NP DMG, 10 NP Gain, 50% starting NP) on Spishtar, turn 1 I do both Castorias skill 2 and 3, Spishtar skills 1 and 3, then I NP. On turn 2 I use one of the Castoria's skill 1 then NP, and on the 3rd turn, I do other Castoria skill 1, Spishtar Skill 2, Artic Mystic Code skill 2, then NP.
Been using the artic Mystic Code (only one left to level atm, and want to cap everything off), and has no problem with the first two waves (first is ~30k hp each, 2nd is ~40k hp each). The last wave has a single enemy with ~130k hp, and if the NP doesn't kill, it's normally in range where the other attacks will finish it off. This is with all the enemies being neutral normally. Of course if you're still lacking in damage, with Castoria having a tirple art deck + an attack dmg up NP, you'll likely be able to get at least one Castoria NP charged by turn 3 to help things out.
My Castoria doesn't have maxed out skills left (and I don't have Spishtar, lol), so I use a CE with battery and Paracelsus on top of the double Castoria thing. You can farm irregular waves EASILY. It's just a matter of experimenting a bit and figuring out what works.
I was debating between getting extra levels for s.ishtar on the rerun or go for kama, the ending made it clear hahaha

Ironically I guess this is where getting a 2nd copy of Spishtar helps from the GSSR. At NP2 she loops with the help of the avenger 3 or 4% NP after turn hitting her around 100-103% NP wave 2. Wave 3 NP is always consistent.
Another alternative that doesn't require any Mystic code buffs for farming, tested on all berserkers node as well:
Info about my comp: No CE equipped, my Spishtar is NP2, and 2nd append unlocked for at least the 10%, also 10/10/10 across the board.
1. Spishtar S1 & S3, Both Castoria's S2 & S3 -> NP.
2. The NP refunded over 80% for me (I had Spishtar S3 Arts) , so S1 from one Castoria -> NP.
3. 80% again, the other Castoria S1 & Spishtar S2 (Arts) for NP damage -> NP.
This gives Spishtar NP gain buffs from both Castoria's and hence not needing the Frag2004 NP gain buff.
Tests may vary depending on if Spishtar NP1 (mine is NP2), if you get Spishtar Arts buff from S3, and if enemies have more HP (I tested on Berserkers training grounds Expert).
I think the S3 arts buff was not relative for me (at NP2), since I refunded well over 70%, S1 from Castoria gives 30% so all the % needed was 70%.
Now that I actually have Black Grail I can finally ditch the 50%Np batteries.

Works even better with a level 10 append Mana loading.
20%+50%+(2x20% S2 Castoria) (assumes high NP level where dmg is rarely a problem).
Simple answer, just have a back up np charge/np gain up/ arts up buffer you can switch in. Like waver, Nero, or for damage, Tamamo
Happens with musashi too. I just use a mystic code with gauge and it usually gets me out of any sticky situations.
With SpIshtar's S2 unlocked (10%), her own battery (50%) and both Castoria's S2 (40%), it leaves you with two S1 Charismas and 30% batteries for the second and third waves.
and you only need NP1 and Bond 6, so it's not impossible to have at this point. Failing that though, Mages or Summer Arts MCs can make up the charge.
i mainly run Summer Musashi for most of my castoria looping needs. no need to think as much about battery since summer musashi herself has a 50% np gain buff. if i need a batter, i can either use a waver or a mystic code for the job

Heck even I managed to loop Spishtar on NP1 and it was pre-castoria.
Or use Lolinci lol. I find her to be fun to be experiment with. She doesn't have fancy big battery, but has guarantee 40% loop regardless of enemies class or how many they are. She is really useable even against 1-1-x node.

I've been using Spishtar (50%), my castoria (20% and arts up), my nero bride (30%) for turn 1, and then using castoria s1 for turn 2 and either tag in more battery for turn 3 or using a mystic code with battery. I like this style because it doesn't require support (such as story missions) but doesn't loop quite as well as 2 castoria + Bride combo (or 2 cas and tamomo for really big damage).
Goes to prove: strategy is key, instead of mindlessly spamming Skills.

I've been wondering for a while... If I'm looking for the highest possible damage on turn 3 without plugsuit, uncertain buffs and class advantage, who is preferable between Musashi Berserker, Kiara Summer, Space Ishtar and Kama Avenger? Not only on Berserker, but on Assassin as well. It seems to be a bit of a toss-up and I'm legitimately curious who would be able to bring the most to the table in a difficult lottery quest. While on paper Kiara's damage looks pretty massive, it's not often that she can get all of her stacks to the final wave, Space Ishtar and Kama Avenger seem a little bit luck-based in terms of buff/debuff success and Musashi has a fairly tough time looping Berserkers without starting NP. Has anyone tested Musashi or Summer Kiara's viability in up coming lottery farming to give a few impressions?

If you have Mana append at at least lvl 1, one thing I like to do us use SPishtar S3 and both Castorias' S2. That way, you get 30% of leeway on all turns

Hey, just find the vid and i would like to know how much of an impact NP4 and NP5 / BBG and the mystic code make in this showcases, regarding the np refund (basically, can a np1/2 maxed fou's and lvl 100 sp ishtar farm with double castoria, loop consistently for 3 turn clear, against non berserker enemies in most nodes?). Thats because i have been playing fgo for 4 months and my resources are super limited. However, i have a friend with np5 sp ishtar with Super Kscope (i can 3 turn almost everything up to LB3 which is where i am in the story), i have my own castoria, and waver + merlin, and i was thinking in saving sq to at least np2 Kama summer once she is NA, because i won't spend money for sq outside GSSR.

You need more than np1 spishtar to use this tho. I tried to do this at np1 spishtar and it doesn't work.
If you have np1 spishtar you need to unlock 2nd append skill to farm at zerker nodes. Just use both castoria's 2nd skill and 3rd skill, and as well as spishtar 1st and 3rd skill, then mc 2k4 3rd skill then use castoria's 1st skill battery to charge at 2nd and 3rd wave. If the rng art steroids connect, you can refund your np to the max at 2nd skill. If it fails however, you'll need to use the 30% battery on 2nd wave and as well as mc 2k4 1st skill to refund around 70~ish np and use the last 30 np battery at 3rd wave.
just got spishtar yesterday, i must say that she works great with paracelsus + double castoria. the np refund is insane my np charge is still full even at 4t

I have not once had this problem because I didn’t know burning all her abilities was the strat. Doesn’t matter who my attacker is I always use just enough skills to get to the next wave
for god sake you can always use np batery mystic code for extra np batery
Everytime I see SpIshtar miss her skill, I get irrationally angry even though I'm not the one playing
