- Today I toured the historic city of Sheffield, the birthplace of football. The area contains Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Sheffield FC (the world's first football club), the world's oldest stadium and so much more!

Thanks for the video, crazy the museum of football is in Manchester, Sheffield forgets to shout about itself!
Thank you for watching! Itâs a shame itâs so far from London where I live but I hope to visit one day! Also, the museum that will be at Sheffield FCâs new ground should hopefully be a similar thing.
Fantastic video youâve got your sub. Top quality content and very well presented đ
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed.
An excellent video, rightly mentioning Sheffield FC and Hallam FC before Wednesday (1867) & United (1889).
Since the two league clubs started their journeys in the football league, here are their achievements:
Top flight titles: Wednesday 4, United 1
FA Cup: United 4, Wednesday 3
League Cup: Wednesday 1, United 0
Appeared in European competition: Wednesday
Appeared in all four Divisions: United
Average attendances across the years: Wednesday 21500, "United 19500
Well done to the great, hilly city of Sheffield.
Thank you for watching, and for sharing some great facts, really interesting to see how close the two pro clubs are.
Nicely done young un.
You might also have mentioned that Bramall Lane was three sided for many decades as the ground was shared with Yorkshire Cricket Club, that even today the playing surface has three large hollows in it courtesy of the Lufwaffe during the Sheffield Blitz - and the official name of the home ground of the "Massive" (the proper nickname of SWFC) is not Hillsborough, but El Stadio Rustico, due to the interesting lack of paintwork on the corrugated iron. đ
Thank you for watching!
I heard about it hosting cricket, and saw a plaque at the ground about the final cricket game played there.
I did think the SWFC ground lacked character from outside, and didnât look that modern. But of course I want able to get too close or get inside!
I am glad to see a young man who can go to the roots or football. Hallam F C is where my roots are .
It was a lovely ground, Iâd like to visit again
Excellent vid, well done. Wednesday were originally called the blades then moved to the District of hillsborough where part of it is called owlerten thus penning the nickname the owls .
Thank you!! Thatâs interesting, considering that United are the Blades today.
Excellent content and facts - well done to all involved in producing this đ đ
Thanks! Iâm glad you enjoyed.
What a brilliant video, well done lad!
Thanks for watching!
Great video for such a young lad. Utb
Thank you for watching and Iâm glad you enjoyed!
Great video bro đ
Thank you for watching!
Great video! I'm a sucker for history, especially when it involves football haha
Thank you! It was a very interesting walk to go on.
Very interesting video.
Thank you!
Should be more things about Sheffield been the home of football. People seem to forget
Itâs a shame thereâs not much around the area apart from the grounds. Hopefully more can be put in place!
We should have had the football museum in Sheffield.
Pity you weren't able to film inside Bramall Lane and Hillsborough
Itâs a shame, Iâd love to be able to get inside one day.
And when the wendy fans are asked to help paint the stadium, embarrassing.
