- A Fab Occasion for the Hatters and commiserations to Coventry City who also had a wonderful story to tell had they won the Game.Sadly someone had to lose.
So proud. Was mascot v Notts County in 1977. Was at huge cup finals in the late 80’s and away at Braintree who did the double over us 10 years ago!!! And it’s my team who have completed the greatest fairytale in football history. With some staggering sub plots too. We couldn’t have done it without watfud sacking Super Robbie Edwards. Pelly plying through the leagues. Nathan Judas Jones moving to Southampton who we are replacing in the Prem. Beating Coventry who were the team that relegated us the season before the Premier League began. The scum FA trying to end us. Winning a trophy the year we were demoted to the Conference against a team who were promoted to the Championship taking 44,000 to Wembley for that game. What a journey. And it’s not done yet. We will,survive the first year in the Prem and try to go in a decent cup run. But clubs who aren’t the glory clubs winning trophies is becoming rarer. watfud have lost their chance for silverware. Their first ever trophy might never come! Hilarious!
Fab Story mate,I recall walking out the ground at Forest Green Rov one night after we lost 3-0 and thinking,where is this club going ? well we know where we are going now and i agree we can stay up next season,All the best.
