Hey, great video which was mega helpful and clear! Just one question though, I'm having trouble dimensioning and putting centre lines onto the centres of holes in my object, it just doesn't work and says that it's not an arc or a circle. You seemed to do it simply and easily in the video without any hassle so any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Your help would be hugely appreciated!

I'm currently using plant 3d and the ortho generation takes for ever. I might resort to base views again. You should cover how to select different parts in the base views. if you have a multi part model and need to detail the parts separately then you can select the parts that you want to show and the rest doesn't get pulled in the view. Nice tutorial though. Maybe i missed it but sections is also very cool to use.
So if I have just orthographic views, will the program be able to generate an isometric?

What if we have multiple 3D models and create multiple layout. How will that workout?
In one of two ways, either everything you've created in model space will appear on the Layout, or you can select only the objects you want to appear.

It sounds like the file has been saved with a newer version of AutoCAD, you need to open it in a newer version of the software and then re-save the file but select the option to save as an older version. Hope you get it sorted. 👍

im going nuts by the fact that you have layouts on Autocad 2020 for Mac but can not add the base views of 3D models, ony the viewport of them...

@@siewhinchang6793 autocad Mac doesn't support yet the BASE COMMAND so I had to do sections on the model and then from those generate drawings within the same 3D space, not ideal but got the job done
