Do you believe in the future of self-driving taxi?
Yes, exactly if I had a chance in the future I would like to grab that taxi.
No way. So many cameras and no driver🤔looks like something to control ppl even more
No, I live in India
No. For one this an employment source for many people. Secondly too many cameras and technology
it might be a low-level job to some people, but that might be their only source of income. we never know. unless there's a way for people to get paid without working at all, or getting any other job without the specific education requirements. AI taking over jobs like this will most likely ruin the lives of people who got affected by unemployment.
It means that future which we feared is already here
Some people just live in fear no matter where we are on the timeline.
Why are you scared of a car that drives better than the average person
I trust it more than ppl looking at their phones while driving
@@LifesMike There will be less jobs for unskilled people.
Poor uber people 😢
@@LifesMike Job shortages, the unemployment rates will most likely skyrocket and the people affected can suffer because of it.
"One more unemployment issue is coming on our way"
not necessarily in the short term yes but in the long term innovation creates new jobs, someone still has to be able to make that car, fix the car or do related maintenance etc.
Such a sad argument for those not willing to adapt. Will people be left behind? Sure. But that’s how it is. Humans naturally adapt with new technologies. Virtually everyone was a farmer hundreds of years ago. We adapted and refined our skills to fit with the times. It’s a great improvement for society.
@@neharenilfor long term what do you think where are we heading companies will try to be more efficient and at very last there will be automatic system making and driving these

@@ajithsb1853 There would be even more traffic jams because AI only understands and works by rules. If things don't work according to rules, the car will not move. Rules are broken many times in real life in India, and in such a situation, only humans can access the situation and take decisions.
@@saurabh1087 unless, you enable ML with AI. However, it would have to learn to adapt itself. Which might take some time and not good during that period. So yes you are right.

ah the plot twist, here we go again
Few months ago I requested an Uber to bring me to my aunt who was dying of cancer. We had a really nice conversation during the car ride. Once we got to the location I asked if he could pray for me, he held me hand and we prayed. I’m not religious but those few moments were so powerful. It’s nice to talk to people.
That's fair, but honestly, the amounts of jerk drivers is just too much for good drivers to be even accounted.
How it relates to driverless cars i may ask
@@thripnixeHe is saying that its nice to have a person driving instead of a waymo
I agree. I have had many great conversations with taxi/uber drivers.
My driver rating is 4.98 over 13,500 rides. Lots of good times
I actually enjoy socializing with an actual cab driver and thanking them for my trip.
Feel free to pay their hourly wage for subar convos because the robotaxis will be orders of magnitude cheaper, especially in upscale areas.
Ok then keep ordering them. Meanwhile I've almost been in multiple accidents due to bad Uber/Lyft drivers. Can't wait for Waymo to expand
Maybe they can add an AI voice that you can talk to? 🤣
Once i had nasty argument with my husband and left the house .. took grab , and was holding my tears, the driver noticed it and ask if I’m ok.. that’s it , I started crying and just shared what happened.. he advised me few things and dropped me off at my parents house.. his last word before I got down was , u look like my little sister and I gonna pray for u tonight that u won’t cry .. sometimes , it’s nice to have humans around .. 😅
Thats so nice. 😊

Yeah that’s never going to happen 😂 I’ve never been but my ex went and took some videos while in a taxi. It’s absolute chaos on the roads there
it would just honk every 5 seconds
Shoutout to my taxi drivers who are gonna lose their jobs by 2030😭
2030 seems too long, it's more like 2026
Oh please. Most of them are thieves anyway. Come to greece for holiday. They charge you 100 euros for 10 minute ride.
It's not just taxi drivers at this point, better be prepared for your days on streetz if you do anything other than construction or plumbing. These are the only fields where AI & Robotics hasn't really caught up yet, it will be automated eventually, but still almost a decade away. Turns out human labour is still very cheap and gives decent quality results in required time.
@@Tate525no, there are a lot of other jobs that cannot be replaced like teachers lawyers and doctors its not that easy for people to trust robots with specific jobs so that doesnt seem likely in near future
@@ipxkxc Online teachers are already being replaced, soon the real world teachers will be as well. There are literally variants of GPT-4 like DoctorGPT and Law ChatGPT. I mean it won't replace 100% of all lawyers, doctors and teachers. But will massively reduced the need for them in the Market. Only 5-10% of lawyers, doctors and teachers will be required and employed, and they too will be heavily assisted by these Machine learning models in most of their work.

i’m pretty against waymo. in addition to taking away jobs, there’s been a couple reports of them unaliving dogs and a person. another time it crossed through a crime scene. i understand they’re still working out the details but it’s just not where i think technology should be prioritized right now.

Good thing that you don't have any children. It allows you the freedom to take more risks in life; making dangerous decisions that you wouldn't otherwise make if you had the added responsibility of being a child's mother. Cheating death for under $10.00...was TOTALLY worth the ride!

It's not that difficult of a choice for the large MNC's to make, they look after their profits & quarterly statements and not do social work for the larger population.
