    I will never, ever get tired of this phenomenal performance! Roger Taylor on drums was a beast and slayed the back up vocals. Roger and Brian May on guitar continue to this day well into their seventies carrying on the Queen legacy touring and their amazing solo work. In over fifty years Queen has never split up. Please react to Live Aid...ranked as the greatest live performance. Rest In Paradise beautiful Freddie ♥️🎸👑🥁🎹🎤

    I was at this concert! Celebrated my 24th B-day there. It was over 40 years ago and is still one of the top two concerts I ever attended. The other was Pink Floyd in '75 or '76. Sadly, Freddy died on my birthday, Nov 24, 1991. I light a candle for him every year and play Who Wants To Live Forever.

    Freddie's voice is unmatched, nowadays singers use commonly an auto tune during the concerts.
    Did you know that even scientific study confirms Freddie Mercury had an unparalleled singing voice. That what makes his voice so special was extremely fast vibrato 7.04 Hz and subharmonics. He was able to create several more layers of harmonics than anyone else. Freddie was using a subharmonics by vibrating his ventricular folds, a technique usually found only in Tuvan throat singers. One of the conclusions from the studies was that "Mercury was vibrating something in his throat that even Pavarotti couldn't move and that kind of creates a very typical vocal fingerprint"

    Hurray!! My favorite song by Queen - The Greatest!! This song was penned by lead vocalist Freddie Mercury, only the best singer & frontman in history! Anyway, he was inspired by his love for Aretha Franklin!! From this same concert please do DRAGON ATTACK 🐉🔥

    They were so good live! So professional and in sync with each other… you see in the call and response section Brian walk to the back of the stage due to an issue with his guitar. Freddie sees that and riffs with the crowd until he sees that Brian is headed back and then moves the song along. Freddie was a master conductor of the band and the crowd. 💛

    • @joyceharkin3641
      @joyceharkin3641 Před 9 dny +1

      Yes, you can clearly see Freddie looking behind him as he makes his way across the stage and keeping things turning over until Brian returns and gives a wee nod. Seamless!

    I was fortunate to Queen in concert during this tour at the Baltimore Civic Center in August, 1980. Freddie owned the crowd from the moment he stepped onstage. "One of those concerts" that I still remember to this day.

    More live Queen! They were all geniuses. There are songs for everyone! Try Love of my Life, White Queen, Another One Bites The Dust, and the epic You take my breath away-live in Hyde Park 1976. Also their performance at Live Aid 1986 in which Queen performed better than every other band. Keep going!

    They say that Superman wears a Freddie Mercury shirt. One of their more obscure but amazing videos is 'White Queen ". You have to do the live at the Hammersmith Odeon. It HAS to be that one. It will make your brain explode.

      …as was “You Take My Breath Away.” The live performances of this one are also great but for different reasons. The studio cut just has layers and layers of complex harmonies that can’t be reproduced live on stage. Too often, there is a debate on which is better (studio or live). The answer is often that they are both equally genius and amazing, but for different reasons.

  • @rhhfayetteville
    @rhhfayetteville Před rokem

    The studio cut of “You Take My Breath Away” has some complex, amazing harmonies that can’t be reproduced in live performance. It’s a MUST listen cut. That being said, the LIVE performances are equally amazing for much different reasons and are also MUST view videos. I’d suggest a reaction and comparison of both… NOT a debate on which one is better, but rather enjoying and appreciating the genius and talent displayed in both.

Now that you’re reacting to the GOAT… also watch Somebody to love at Milton Keynes and then White Queen ( A Night at the Odeon-Hammersmith 1975) and then Dragon Attack in Montreal 1981 … I won’t go on … way too many to name. Queen better LIVE ( unlike most “ mortal” bands) except in certain cases where the studio version really rocks !! Have fun ✌🏼

    Awesome reaction. Freddie is the best frontman ever. Queen is awesome. Every member of the band can sing; you don't see that with bands. I'm glad that you are enjoying them. There are so many awesome songs from them that I'm sure that you heard of. Bohemian Rhapsody (video for this song has over 1.5 billion views) We Will Rock You, We are the Champions, etc....If I can recommend you watch Queen Live Aid '85. This was an incredible performance. Also if I can recommend to you Under Pressure live at Wembley (5:56 minute version). The crowd control he had is truly amazing in this video. Another One Bites the Dust Live at Wembley '86, Don't Stop Me Now, White Queen. The drummer sang I'm in love with my Car which is another good one.Thanks so much for your enthusiasm for Freddie Mercury/Queen. (ps I agree, Mariah Carey has nothing on Freddie--never care for her singing).

    THE BEST EVER GROUP/BAND AND LEAD SINGER IN HISTORY the sounded better live than 90% or people who were recording in a studio.. i have been an avid queen fan since 1976 nothing beats them. this is live and without autotune which everyone uses today and just listen how good it sounds.... Brian may's Guitar was hand made be him and his dad the whammy bar handle is made from an old knitting needle lol.

Please also check out The Seed, Cure for me, Apple Tree, KEXP live performance and just keep going. She is even more magical live and has a really special connection to her audience and fans, so maybe that's why your comments about Queen made me think you would enjoy her. Hope you do.
