I think my favorite of his roles was as the radio storyteller in The Unsuspected.
His performance is really solid in that one. It's one of my favorite noir films.

A true Claude Rains fan can tell you that he’d never won an Oscar even though he was nominated four times. He should have won Oscars for Casablanca, Notorious, and Mr. Skeffington.
He really should have, his caliber of acting was unreal.
