received my Nebo the other day, put it on and absolutely loved it right away. I will get to test it out this upcoming weekend, and will hopefully be able to post up a review also.
Great to hear! Get that review up for them too! They are such a great company, doing great things. Lets shine a light on them. Take care!
They seem to have a good product however my recommendation is that they leave too much of the chin/neck area exposed, let's say compared to Arc teryx...also I learned from experience black is not a good option, because it has different warmth characteristics depending on the sunshine...so not too many other color options (2 for Vario, and this green one, that's a no go)...
I am with you on extra face coverage for shells. But, I think the idea here is as midlyaer and using the puffy or hardshell as the last defense on coverage. Agreed on black absorbing radiation too. When they gave me the option on testing, I opted for the Forest Green for this reason, as well as I not wanting to feel like and dang mountain Ninja all the time LOL.
Beard friendly low cut
I like it. Seems very similar to my Patagonia Houdini Air. Have you tried it to compare?
Oh ya! That is the closest garment I can think of to this. If I have not given my Air to a friend yet, I will do a comparison video on them and other windshells. From what I can feel during the testing, this one breathes at least as well, if not better, with a nicer hand feel.
@@Engearment Look forward to that comparison, Sean!
Hood looks small. That is starting to be OV signature. 🤷♂️
Yep. They call it a "slick" hood to be low profile. They did an entire podcast on this today. I can appreciate higher coverage for mountain use, but can see the benefit of the lower coverage for most other people and uses. I think you and I are on the same page for this :)
@@Engearment Ok. Well not a fan. But thank you for clarifying. 🕺
Nothing worse than a hood keep falling down blocking my site seeing lol
@@truthbetold916 I had OV’s Ventus and Dragonwool hoodie. To me it’s a glitch that both leave much of the forehead open. One needs to wear something under the hood for full protection. That’s not how it’s supposed to work. 😁 Happy with their UL Loftek puffy.
@ You make a valid point! I think because OV focus on UL Gear most people would be carrying a beanie or bandana. By shortening things here and there cuts the extra grams or in some cases ounces off the final product. Im more concerned about function over weight myself.
