It's probably distasteful to say this when referring to a smoker, but HOLY SMOKES. She started out as glowing and feisty--flirty even!--but wound up looking the exact OPPOSITE by the end. Totally broken both mentally and physically. That was some GREAT acting. And props to the makeup, costume, and lighting departments for putting the work in, too! Her hair not only shrunk in length (actress choice is one thing--but storywise, hair breakage happens to a lot of people when going through extreme stress or poor nutrition), but colorwise, it went from shiny dirty-blonde to an increasingly washed out shade of blonde. They also gave her increasingly pastier and less dewy makeup. Her smoking seemed to be taking a real effect on her, all in that sad little dingy apartment, clad in those beige clothes--beige being a color rocked as poorly as black. It was a nightmare combination all around, *and she is only 40 years old by the end.* T_T

shes actually a great character. but the hero of the story? definitely not. there IS no hero in this show. endorsing walts actions and helping him makes her just as bad morally.
