My name is Alice Barile based in the USA visual Artist. I am a nature inspired and I create my art with love and passion absolutely intuitively. I painted a canvas in white before I started because it was old used canvas and I just covered what was before. And those lines were old design as well. That’s why I applied a little texture in that are to neutralize those old lines. The paste I used is my homemade texture. You can watch the video I showed it’s on my video list and see how I make my homemade texture. For the top I used : brown, black and white. For the bottom I used blue, turquoise , black and white.
To glue the toilet paper I used school paper glue . It’s also good to use a school glue when you apply texture. If you have more questions please feel free to ask ❤️👍

@@alicebarileart I have tried foil to achieve a similar texture, which works, but am now trying Xmas wrapping paper. Cheaper than loo roll.🙂

I’m glad you found me my dear 🙏❤️ The gray stuff is a texture. I mixed plaster, school glue and sand together and sand gives gray color to the texture until it dries.

Please don't take this the wrong way, as I am simply trying to understand what I'm seeing. I initially thought you were using a thin board due to the movement as you touched it. It clearly isn't, so I became confused.
Do you stretch your own canvases? They do not appear to have that tightness standard ones have. If you do your own, do you intentionally make them that loose? (Or is it from the lack of those tools used?) Does it help you, having that give, if it is intentionally loose? Such as changing the way you apply texture or how the texture dries?
I have not painted with texture underneath and am about to give this a shot. I've been exploring many painting styles, mediums mixed in, oil paints, fluid acrylics, and even alcohol inks. It's become addicting and is the only thing that can take me away from the stress in my life.
Sweet heart honestly I found this canvas next to the garage room. I couldn’t walk away and I picked it up. Painted wall paint over old painting and used it for this project 😁 It doesn’t have to be loose. It’s just this canvas was old and used

What are the names of colors you used for this painting? Is that gray molding paste? And what is the reddish color you used ??❤
Gold Spray, black, white, burnt sienna, burnt umber, phthalo blue, turquoise , turquoise mixed with white
Texture mix: plaster of Paris, school glue, sand, water

Hey whats the material in grey cement
It is a mix of plaster+paper glue + sand. You can also mix paper glue + baby powder (or foot powder) + sand

The first color was white acrylic to cover all the texture . Then I sprayed gold and let it dry.
Then goes black, then white. After that Burn siena (brown). Then:
Phthalo Blue
Turquoise
White
Turquoise mixed with white
Black
Gold leaf applied
Ultramarine Blue mixed with White at the end
