Fun fact - both Annie Lennox and Marilyn Manson are Capricorns (it’s my sign too!) a highly ambitious and darkly creative sign. The words to this song are heavy no matter how you perform it- MM’s version just brought out the intensity of the lyrics and it was recorded at a time that he felt a big cycle of using and abusing was going on around him regarding the music/entertainment world.

I remember when he got booed off stage at the Ozzfest in Chicago. "Twiggy" was hitting the turf that got thrown at them with his guitar. I got smacked by a chunk in the back of my head. Bummer tho. I really wanted them to finish the set.

Marilyn Manson has a certain "mystique" that no other artist since him ever had. Not mentioning his histrionic music, he's a really smart guy. There's a 12 million views video titled "10 Times Marilyn Manson Outclassed Interviewers" that you maybe you want to react to.

You Keep Looking Into Manson's Older Stuff: You Should Start Looking Into His More Modern Songs Such As: 'Tattooed In Reverse', 'Say10', 'Deep Six' or 'Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge'.

@@jinjerjunkie that they are, Hed Pe is a very underrated band. They just dropped a new CD a few days ago & is sounds like old skool Hed.

I was waiting for you to stumble upon Mansons version after you covered the Eurythmics. Eurythmics version (being the original) is of course the best plus in the 80's Annie had her own look and style. Manson is the king of "covers" tho. He usually always puts a great spin on them. Mansons all about "Shock rock" no different then Ozzy or Alice Cooper or even Elvis when he first came out shaking his thing. It's all about that period in time and who could push the envelope the furthest. I'm glad you started at the beginning of his career, most reactors don't get the history of albums behind bands and just jump on whatever video or time period everyone else is reacting too. You did exactly what Manson would of wanted here, you reacted to it. Which is what his beginning shock phase was all about, getting a reaction. He's calmed down a lot since then. Fame ends shock.

Marilyn Manson makes such romantic music. My favorite to play during a night of passion. ✌
