The majority of us here in the UK had never heard of Chinchilla. Ren has introduced us to many talented UK artists, Sam Tompkins, Liv Sanger, Bi Bi, Venbee, Eden Nash The Big Push. He is lifting up so many of his mates.
That's so cool! He's such a nice human!!
I mean I didn't know Venbee, but Messy in Heaven is very popular.
She has done major arena tours with Sting and others and has blown up on Tim Tok with Little Girl Gone. I think YT can sometimes be late to the party....

It is amazing these great, formerly signed artists are now emerging as independents and becoming successful. Goes to show how terrible of a job the recording companies did in promoting them while they had them signed. I love it - let's get the power and control of art back in the hands of the artists and not huge corporate conglomerations.
Amen to that! I cover mostly independent artists... and I love seeing their success! In fact, probably more successful because they aren't controlled by a label!!

I think of Chinchilla as a 'buy one, get one free' bonus from discovering Ren, she really is a wonderful artist in every way.
And much like Ren, you're never quite sure what you're gonna get when you hit play for the first time.
They describe themselves as 'musical siblings' and I can totally see it.
I genuinely think this is one of the best performances I have ever seen, by anybody.
I get the 'chinchills' every time when she hits '..woman scoooooooooooorned!'. It's a pure eargasm for me.
As for the style, I always get 'Alice In Wonderland by Tim Burton' vibes, mixed with circus ringmaster, mixed with music box ballerina.
Notice the little head bob she gives at the very end, as if she's a wind-up toy reaching the end of the mechanical sequence.
I love *everything* about this track: her voice, the outfit, the little nuances in her performance, the claws, the eyes. Oh my god, the eyes! 👀😍
Not to mention the piano accompaniment is just perfect - they dance around each other beautifully.
I know she said in one of her interviews that she makes her own hats, but I'm not sure if she makes her own outfits.
In any case, she definitely has a style all her own, as you can see in any of her videos.
I foresee you're really gonna enjoy this new Chinchilla rabbit hole. (Wait.. is that an oxymoron? 🤔)
All the recommendations you're getting are good. Definitely do "Little Girl Gone" and "Elements", they're brilliant.
But I'll just throw in one that I haven't seen any reactors do - "Terms and conditions", a really fun track that shows off her quirky sense of humour.

She is an amazing artist and fantastic talent. She has a lot of great songs but not so many videos however the song Elements is a good one to see it says lyric video but it is an actual video also her song cold water, there's a live version of that from EMA 2020. We home school the kids to keep them away from the wokies, and do fun stuff as a family. That's what's important at the end of your life... so I'm hoping my kids grow up to think for themselves and have their own loving families that come by on Thanksgiving and Christmas. 😊

If you search "Chinchilla - Awakening", you will get an EP she released last year and some of the songs on it are truly fantastic, if a tad rude in parts, One Time has the lyric("I just wanna take you home and F**k you, F**k you all night"). My favourite is "Shadows[Tails]". Perhaps you could react to that(you'll find it's in the EP as part of a "visualiser". Worth listening to the whole EP by yourself, when not reacting to it; it's amazing!! Btw, she designs and makes all her outfits, her pet love being her top hats.

I love the original vocal talent with that piano. This is unique, but I think anyone who likes this might also like a lot of Tori Amos songs. I love and praise when I witness women in self-empowering motions.
I love Tori Amos. She was my absolute favorite along with Sarah McLachlan back in the day! The piano was beautiful in this song.

That one is said not to be about an ex (although it reads that way) but about the manager/label she recently fired. She has an interview with reactor Chris Liepe that's worth listening to. @@MrsRealistic I dont think there are any live version of it. There is a lyrics video and a music video.
Personally I prefer the lyrics video. The music video is more like a short movie and it adds another story on top of the already great lyrics. It's a little bit distracting in my opinion. But still really good (as you probably know since you have seen it already)

Growing up with an English dad and grandparents, living in BC, they would always find the proper English pubs. I've drank many a pint with my dad in what was the closest thing next to an actual pub in England 🇬🇧

I think a lot of the time I get so into the music, maybe I look like I'm not having a much fun as I am! My video of myself is also never in sync with the beat on the music video, which I've tried to fix, but to no avail... so it looks silly when I try to "rock out", like I can't catch the beat 😆 At any rate, I just finished editing that one and it'll be up tomorrow!
