Love George Benson, the last of the great Jazz guitarists, when he eventually passes that special period of Jazz guitar music will be gone, for ever sadly.
He is so on fire at this gig. Unbelievable.

But from the first time I listened to George Benson I loved and admired 🥰 him so much. Whenever I need to process something emotional 🥹 I play his music and feel reconnected to my true nature again…I love 💕 you Mister BENSON ( and so good 😊 looking and sexy on this particular Swiss stage 😅)
Grazie per questo regalo. Sono un fan over 50enne di GB da quando ero 15enne. Ai tempi di questo concerto , sono partito da un paesino della provincia di Caserta per andare a Montreaux per vederlo, insieme a mio cugino Joe. Arrivati lì , scoprimmo che non c'erano biglietti . Ascoltammo le prove nel pomeriggio per due ore , entrando da una porta che era stata lasciata aperta per far passare i cavi delle TV che avrebbero ripreso l'evento. Già sentirlo nelle prove mi faceva rizzare i peli sulle braccia per l'emozione, ed in parte mi consolò di dover andar via senza poter assistere al concerto, ci rimasi davvero male. Poter vedere anche a distanza di tanti anni ,un concerto mancato per un soffio a quei tempi è per me un' emozione e una ricompensa per un sacrificio fatto allora. Grazie ancora a chi lo ha pubblicato , e inutile dire che George ha un'energia in questo concerto che non ho mai più visto in nessun altro chitarrista. He is the best.

Happy 80th Birthday to one of the greatest guitarists EVER!! To all those interested, George will be performing at.NJPAC in June 2023; saw this man perform at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ a few years ago & was blown away!!💘 🎶

I just saw George in Sydney 2 days ago (14/4/22). At 79 years old, he cant move like that any more and he didn't do anything that technical when he played but that voice is still like silk and he can still get the audience up and dancing, clapping and singing along and Michael O'Neill is still playing with him. Just brilliant.
I've been lucky enough to see George Benson live three times in my life. Once, I was so close (about 3 metres away) and was able to watch him closely for over an hour. He did not make one mistake in that whole time! 😱 Absolutely an AMAZING guitarist and overall musician!

Got to see the GREAT GEORGE at the Hollywood Bowl!! Summer of 95.
Vicki Randle made the keenest appearance in that George Benson band at the Montreux jazz fest here, especially when she scatted on the energetic "20 20" along with that greatest jazz guitarist of all in my opinion, George Benson. She was the musical lady who eventually got a major spot on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" after this gig, and got a chance to shine and team up with the band's killer drummer, Marvin "Smitty" Smith.
All hail the master, the days when singers were singers and play like he does is heaven sent, thanks for the years of blissfull escape bro
