All my English Bulldog puppy does is sleep in his crate when we have to leave him for a few hours! As soon as we walk out the door, he plops himself down and immediately starts snoring until we return home!

At first my bulldog would cry now he’s ok. He goes to his room and lays on his blanket till we come home, I put the gate for him to stay in his little room. I don’t put him in his crate I only use it at night for sleep. He’s going to be 6 months this month and he’s doing pretty good. Thanks guys for great information

I leave my bully home from 4-6 hours, and he does great. No crate needed because he will sleep in the same spot until I get back. Wouldn't recommend leaving them longer than that because they are a little needy! If I'm gone for 10 minutes or 4 hours, I get the same excitement from him!

Not new to having dogs, but has been years since I have had a puppy. I picked up my new 8wk old AMAZING Eng BD on Sunday and feel like I am hanging on for dear life right now. I am a deep sleeper and have not been able to wake my ass up hourly and he has had accidents in his kennel every night (that is on me and my fault). During the day, I work at home so I ensure I get him out frequently and praise him. But when it is ready for bed I am sure we both start to panic lol. Was up at 3am and he was a mess so I gave him a little bath and cleaned him up good as I am sure he felt traumatized a little so just held him and we fell asleep on the floor lol. I am getting him a new crate today and start over with a new approach. Started watching your channel this morning and it has helped me gain some level of confidence that I can change this and get him turned around. Don't know why I said all of this - just needed someone to talk to lol.

Pls toilet train them. Ours took only a month to get it fully toilet trained. We started the training when it was two months. The first week was most rigid then we slowed down the subsequent weeks.

Same here mine use to do the same. Potty training started at 8 weeks and he’s now 5 months and doing good but sometimes has accidents when he doesn’t make it on time to the pad but he knows he made a mistake he’ll say sorry after clean up. Lol

I've been told that leaving dogs in crates for hours is cruelty?. Is that true?
