hey everyone,
i hope everyone is drinking enough water and staying well! i know i wasn’t uploading over the summer because i was busy packing for my one-month stay in vietnam! to those who have been actively waiting for my videos, here it is! i do hope you like watching me pack! i also want to thank you for being extremely patient and forgiving towards my inconsistent uploading schedule.
i also want to address why i said "we [my dad and] weren't well-off" but i could alone afford a $300 carry-on suitcase LOL. so it is a bad habit of mine to always be looking for perfection in anything that i buy, but a few years ago, i was lucky enough to have my unemployment funds at the time to afford those suitcases that came with LIFETIME WARRANTIES WHAAAT. so yeah, i hope that clears some things up! :)))
but anywaysss, stay tuned for a mini vietnam vlog that’ll come after this! as always, thanks for waiting and watching!

omg, the way i am so late IM SO SORRY 😭🧍🏻♀️but yes in terms of size, it needs to be able to fit under the seat on the plane and mine fit (my kanken had a 15 in laptop in it btw). for weight, my backpack was REALLY heavy but i don’t recall being told to move anything from it into my checked luggage, but it might’ve changed now so i’m not sure about now 😭 but i’m glad the video helped you in some ways !!

Hi🙋. I am planning for Vietnam in January for 7 days. Can you please give me some ideas on the outfits to carry there? I hope you will help me.
hi!! yes!! i would recommend any light long sleeve button ups that could protect you from the sun rays especially if you plan on wearing any tank tops under! maxi skirts are great too although you might need to be careful when sitting on motorbikes! if you like wearing short skirts, i recommend you wearing them out during nighttime since it’ll be cooler and less hot. hats and sunglasses are a must as well when you’re out during the day. personally, i don’t wear jeans anymore but if you like jeans, i recommend loose fitting ones that you could easily roll up just in case the street is filled with ankle-height water from the rain. it’s also good for when you want to use your house/hotel restroom and you need to go in there barefoot, you wouldn’t want to get the bottom of your jeans wet.
shoes wise, it’s good to bring something you can easily slip in and out! a pair of sandals you can wear without socks, and some other shoes you could wear with socks! i like my toes covered just for extra protection from the sun! but it wouldn’t hurt to also bring a pair of (not too expensive) heels to wear out at night! i brought my platform crocs and my 1461 platform doc martens. it helped that my docs were a little loose. i styled them with some maxi skirts, mini denim skirts, sundresses, etc. i like to bring black shoes/heels for the most part just so it’s less cleaning job for me post-trip. however, white dresses and shirts are easy to clean post-trip, i just soak them in oxy-clean! personally i like my toes covered but maybe you’ll think otherwise 💅🏻✨
style wise, i think during the day, sticking to a pastel color palette is not only so slay, but it’ll attract less heat! if you like wearing bold colors (i like red), i recommend wearing it at night just because it’s so suitable with the night life over there! 🙈✨
