Gave it a listen, used to like stuff like this 25 years ago when DDR was a big hit but I think my taste has become more refined over time. Now addicted to Hardwell, Will Sparks, Armin Van Buuren, Space Laces, C2C and Delta Heavy. If I ever play DDR again, this is probably what's going to be playing; as far as the gym goes, need something heavier with a consistent rhythm.

I love the mix and I keep listening to it since every time I see this thumbnail it grabs my attention because I swear it looks like Pippa Pipkin and Tenma Maemi.

@@davekachel Its most likely since it was the ending of the early 2000's when this type of music was slowly becoming unpopular due to the more mainstream songs. Like myself who was born during early 2000's and cant remember my early years, I've had people born within 1980-90's who helped introduce theses type of music to me and to me its concidered my early 2000's due to memory.

This is a good mix, but damn does it feel like my music playlist when I needed to drown out my negative thoughts and feelings years ago. Overpowering them with noise that starts blurring together after a while might not have been the healthiest way of dealing with them, but at that time it was either find some way to ignore them or be debilitated by them day in and day out. I don't think I was suicidal, but it probably would have been rougher otherwise, and this music kind of brings a little... for lack of a better word, nostalgia.

Number 1 rule in mixing NEVER overlap voices unless its just a small sample but this is not the case here

Pretty based to start a S3RL mix with a Russe song.
If there was a S3RL iceberg, that'd be like, mid layer, not too obscure but as a starter song is pretty surprising.
His Russe songs are super fun! Also there's no dj intro for flying Dutchman so it kinda works best as an intro lol

Also interested myself, I tried taking a screenshot and going through a few reverse image searches but nothing seemed to recognize it. I'll keep trying though with different apps but if the @djshimohisae posts it that would make things much easier. I'd love to find the artist of those characters and possibly commission them in the future, I have a few concepts that would work well in that style of cute.
