  • A celebratory profile of former Stepney Mayor Miriam Moses and her father Mark Moses. Using old photographs and illustrations the video evokes Jewish life in Tower Hamlets and follows the charitable work of the Moses family. Miriam Moses work in a number of fields is honoured, with reference to her engagements in female equality (with the Jewish League for Women's Suffrage) and in various charitable endeavours supporting refugees, the eradication of TB, the poor and unemployed, the homeless, young people' education and her work in political Zionism. The history of the Moses family's activities takes in various parts of Jewish London from Stamford Hill, to the Stepney of Spitalfields, Princelet Street, Brick Lane, Middlesex Street, Brady Street and Castle Street. The still images and narration are supported with comment from many people who knew Miriam including Sadie Westbury, Alan Hames, Michael Lazarus, Professor William Fishman, Sarah Packer, Ronnie V Siskin, Monty Richardson, Vera Braynis and Harold Finch.
