She came back in SMT2 as a fiend, and in SMT1, 2, and If... fiends were mostly just fun secret bosses based on random things like manga characters and stuff. The death association wouldn't become a thing until Nocturne, where at that point she was no longer considered one.
S/MT games that at the time if you saw Undead/Tyrant, you couldn't recruit. so not just lore wise making sense; it was a way to know you're fighting a boss or in these few cases; a super boss.

Alice in If... is just one of the multiple secret bosses ("fiends") which exist as references to SMT1. There no special event or anything, theres just a 1 in over 200 chance shell jump you when opening a chest or something. She was originally a character from a specific story arch in SMT1.
The intro of this song uses a leitmotif that's present in the title demo and The Law Theme in SMT II. Imediately after that, it also has a bit of The Fiend Theme from SMT II's PS1 port (since Alice is considered a Fiend herself) and later Nocturne, SMT IV, etc. So maybe one of those songs?
I like how Alice's theme feels more "complete".
It's like saying : Oh those Fiends? How bout try on THE Fiend.

undead was a form of regular "tyrant" if you will. you can't recruit undead or tyrants in SMT1.
