Riley makes in my view a thinking-mistake. People always seem to forget, that such developements will still be gradually. Her children will know a bit more advanced technology and their children a bit more and so on. It's not going to be like: aaargh!! Tomorrow we won't need our bodies anymore!! That's ridiculous.
To destroy my own theory at the same time🤣: a guy that specializes in future technology, I thing his name might be Kurzweil, believes that not only technology in itself will be faster but also the speed of new inventions. In such a way, that the next 20 years there will be developements that now take place in 14 years, instead of 20. 20 years further in 7 years, then in 3,5 and uhm...so on.
A scary thought, but even that can only occur if everybody can keep up, of course. I predict a big revolution in the future. Looking at history as a whole.
