THANKS FOR WATCHING!
It is already a roller coaster year up here in NJ. Just had a 4.8 earthquake this morning. I was outside doing yard work and felt so dizzy I came back in the house. My phone was ringing from friends asking me if I felt it. Thought something was wrong with my blood pressure. My carrots got into my pots yesterday. Made sure I spaced them!
I ran outside to check my greenhouse and make sure all my seedlings were ok!
Where? I'm from Vineland NJ
Hawthorne
Danny and Wanda, each year you two start your gardening, it's so much fun to watch you guys. I live in northern Illinois where the temperatures are still pretty cold, I've got many seedlings started inside already waiting for the weather to warm up. You always have a few new tips we can all learn from. Thank you for sharing your videos, your place is a treasure there! Take care, Annette
Love to see what all you are growing, and the tips about what to watch for with the cabbage to know when to harvest. Yes, the roller coaster weather this year has certainly been something. Have no idea what to expect this summer.
All those early fruits y'all are getting are just a result of all the good energy y'all put out... what goes around comes around and y'all are obviously recieving some of that return goodness!❤😊😎
As long as it doesn't storm on us again, we plan on fertilizing everything tomorrow.
Gorgeous 👏 gorgeous 👏gorgeous! 👏. I transplanted most of the minis into a green stalk last night and watching this I realized I forgot the fertilizer
Awesome results and this is just the beginning. Amending the soil makes ALL the difference in the world. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor!
Your garden is gorgeous! Those cauliflower’s are outrageous!😘❤🙏🏻✨
Beds look amazing. Y'all make us jealous LOL. (actually y'all have helped us have a great harvest so far) Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day.
I know from growing gardens 35+ years now that keeping the nutrients in the soil is always a must !!……….yes I certaintly see a big difference in your beds……BUT, in my humble opinion those chilly nights are not doing some of the plants no good, until nights are warmer, steady occuring. Here in Southern New Jersey, my buttercrunch lettuce, and romaine and kale are not growing very much because of our continuing night 35+ temps and the cold winds, crazy rain storms and constant winds……….?????, yep, Danny you are on base ( wink wink)……………….
Everything looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the tour. Praying for an abundant harvest for you.
I just planted tomatoes and peppers today 5th of April here in Oklahoma.
Good morning Danny and Wanda.
Everything is responding so well to the amending you did.
That cucumber sounds so crunchy and good.
So amazing what amending the soil can do.
So nice to see all the blooms on those tomatoes and the cauliflower is taking off.
The strawberries are looking very very nice and am remembering to add the pine straw to mine
when I get them started.
It is roller coaster weather but praying all your plants pull through the cooler weather and keep flourishing.
Your going to have some peppers and looks like sooner than planned.
Nice looking radishes. Your going to be enjoying them.
Thanks so much for sharing and like the smaller self watering vego beds
A good investment for certain.
Thanks so much for sharing. Definitely see how amending the soil has made a huge difference.
🤗 Everything looks AMAZING! GREAT job guys! 🥰 We just started offering a great soil testing service at the nursery where I work in Pawleys Island SC. Your shared knowledge has helped me greatly in being able to explain the need of the advanced testing to my customers. Thank you Danny! 🥰
Your welcome
Awesome looking plants; those Vego beds are such a blessing, and back saver!😊❤
Morning! Started off my bkfst/coffee time by listening to my favorite garden channels (PG & DSH)!!
The Vego beds look great. Thank you for this video. Wanda that cucumber looks beautiful. Delicious crispy. Can’t wait to grow some. Saving up for a Vigo bed. Love both of y’all and thank you for a great video.
What a wonderful day in the garden at Pecan Grove.. thanks for sharing all I've never seen a reddish split in threes before that was pretty cool.. thank you Mr Danny & Mrs Wanda..❤
Thanks Danny and Wanda. Your garden is doing so great! I'm still getting frost nearly every morning. Temps in the mid to upper 30's at night and 60's to upper 70's during the day so I've still not been able to get my garden going. Hopefully I'll be able to soon. Much Love ❤
Look at all those VEGO beds 😍
When my peas get to the size of those in your vego bed I put bamboo stakes in the ground (inside edge of your vego bed) and have the bamboo lean onto the center panel. The peas climb right up the bamboo and onto the panel. I actually use chicken wire for my panel. Peas love it and crawl all over it. I like those rabbit pellets in the watermelon pepper vego bed.
I made dozens of electroculture rods and you just reminded me that I need to get them out to this years garden.
My sweet potato slips are growing indoors and one is already 2’ long and stretching towards the window. Frosty tonight and they are a good 1 1/2-2 months out from 60* soil temperature. They’re growing from last year’s awesome harvest
It’s too cold to get my garden totally planted (NW Washington state) but I did get my potatoes and English peas in. Love your garden and all that you both share and do! God bless you both
Awesome garden, Danny and Wanda! I've been planting cool weather stuff, and anxious to get in the warm weather crops. It LOOKS like I'll be able to plant safely in the unheated greenhouse in a week or so here in central Kansas. I can't wait!! (But I have to....😏) I'll still wait to plant the in-ground warm season seeds until late April/early May. May the Lord bless all of our gardening efforts!
Miss Wanda, try roasting your radishes. They are delicious.
The cooked greens are tasty, too, but I think they go to the rabbits, chickens, and welfare cattle.
Thanks for sharing. I love your Vego beds! The veggies are looking so healthy.❤
That cucumber sounded like the crunchiest and i think i could almost taste it! I think i have a perfect place to put the kitchen minis during the wintertime under some grow lights to have a piece of summer during the winter!
Crazy as it may sound smell a vision has now been created.
@pecangrovems now that would have me making runs to the grocery store at all times! Not a good thing!
Mighty fine looking garden.
Everything looks great ! Those cucumbers look gerchin
sized ;) I would pickle those ! I’ve got banana squash coming up in the house ! I’m so excited ! Who said a radish wouldn’t do anything ? 😂😂😂😂 so goofy
My goodness, your plants are looking wonderful! Thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing your gardens with us. Looks wonderful. I hope mine will take off . Need to fertilize them. Thanks for everything
Little spendy for one tomato plantar. Glad it's all working out for you all though.
All of the plants are beautiful!
Everything looks wonderful! Good job
Everything looks amazing! God bless and Much love 💖✝️
Still loving those VEGO beds❤️ need a tomato one or two an a couple beds. # wishlist
The difference is amazing!
So green!🥬
Nice job Danny and Wanda!!
I’m continually praying that y’all get abundant showers of blessings, especially including rain to replenish your groundwater and ponds. Daily diligence and attention to details is essential fertilizer. Do y’all ever use rock dust for minerals? I know it’s slow release, but it should last.
Not available here
@@pecangrovems I have found several sources available online, including azomite, of various rock dusts.
Wow everything looks wonderful 💝👍💝
I read an article last week that hot peppers perform better if they go thru a small cold spell before it gets hot.
That's true
No top on the high tunnel yet actually is a plus, rain water always seems to make plants do better than well water. I have stock tanks under multiple eaves catching rain water😊
MY GARDEN PEAS ARE HEAD HIGHON ME, I'M 5FT 6IN, AND THEY ARE BLOOMING. I'M LOOKING FOR A GREAT HARVEST
Lookin beautiful!
Everything looks great!
Good Morning and love the video everything looks great! and love the stick your tongue out to the doctor comment! take care
My sweet potatoes are starting to give slips too but, not liking the low of 60 & then 40 here in SC. Your garden is looking great !!
Sent MySoil test off today. Can't wait to get results. I just wanted to know what the "wood dirt" consisted of. It's trees that had been cut for firewood and the leftovers were piled up and allowed to break down and rot over the years. It's black dirt. Very fluffy when screened.
Awesome best of luck
Wanda grew radishes!! ❤
Ms. Wanda can grow radishes. Thanks for sharing 🙏 😎 🏝 🏖
Wow! Everything looks great! I’m waiting for anything outside to come up!😂 We just had an earthquake so hoping it shook some sense into my Greenstalks and they will hopefully start growing soon!
Wow hope everything is ok.
@@pecangrovems Everyone survived! Nothing fell over! It was a strange sensation. I can’t imagine what people in California or Alaska go through!
Loved the garden tour. Yeh electroculture.
Garden is amazing. Right now my cabbage is under cover at night. Freezing temps here in Indiana. But they are looking good. Nothing else planted yet here in central indiana
I'd like to see anything close to 80! We had a foot of snow yesterday!
When it’s cold, we want hot; when it’s hot, we want cold. We get what He gives us in His time.
My freedom black berries are looking good, loaded with berries.
GOOD MORNING FROM SOUTH, YOUR GARDEN IS LOOKING GREAT
Good morning they look so good ❤love those vego beds with the arch and those self watering pots 😊 .
Mrs Wanda That Gerber Daisy is Beautiful those are my daughters favorite, the vego beds are doing amazing . Mr Danny I have 15 sweet potato slips up hoping to grow them in my greenhouse this summer in Ontario Canada I followed your guide thank you .
Evening from Perth Australia, we’ve had no rain since October 2023, still hand watering my winter vege garden, we’re still getting hot weather 25 to 30 degrees it’s crazy
Dear Lord , I hate that for yall , we will be like that soon in Texas
🙏🙏🙏🙂♥️🕊👍. You have a awesome start for your garden. God has bless you. 😊😊😊
When are you going put the cover on the. High Tunnel? The stuff would grow even faster 😊
When I get time to finish building the high tunnel.
I do that too! Look for the 3 in the pack😂 I am teaching my daughter to garden via FaceTime as she lives in another state than I do. She was at Home Depot looking at plants the other day and I was like get the one with three in the pot😂
Just got my copper wires yesterday. Thank you for the gardening tip.
Remember there a right way to use them.
Danny/Wanda..amended beds with spiral up...any other tips?
@patiplace them 2 inches away from the plant on the south side.
THANK YOU!!❤️
Good morning.
Morning
For algae in my rain barrel, I dropped in some twisted copper wires and it seems to be working!!!!
Yes copper does work
If you put another EC-coil at end of eggplant bed. .. Might make a Circuit? Hmm, Interplanting is looking like an ideal growth plan. I'm jealous up North in NE OH. ...
-- 💌🍒
83 degrees here today.
@@pecangrovems and here we are struggling to maintain 40°. Go ahead, rub it in ..lol.
My raised garden beds ( 300g stock tanks) floated away in the flood. If they are still floating they should be close to the Mississippi River by now. They have 1 leeks tank and 4 tanks of onion starts from Dixondale Onions and 1 tank of peas. I didn't pull the plug so they wouldn't float. When I remembered it was above my boots. My other raised beds don't have bottoms but everything I planted is ruined. It got into my garage and barn. It didn't go into the trailer or the house which I was fortunate about. Neighbor is doing his best to intimate me and 3 other neighborhood families. Which someone will snap shortly. Someone was messing with house last night. I fired warning shots repeatedly. My gardens aren't safe from the varmint who is actually supposedly a person. He's been inside my places and I will stop it sometime when I catch the varmint.
I got my soil test kits yesterday and now I only need 2 due to the flooding
Everything looks fantastic although I think you’re just jumping the gun on the onions give them time they look healthy. It’s the cool weather.
I hope so.
Danny when I look for Plants at the market. I look for the pots with more then one plant
That's wise
That’s such a cute little cuke
My high tunnel is the same way , the screen is on the sides and the ends are partially built
Prevention is the best when it comes to ur health
Would it be better to just put on the shade cloth for now so the tunnel doesn't get too hot and then put the top plastic on in the fall?
We got the shadecloth on last week.
My onions look like yours and I am afraid they aren’t going to make bulbs.
I just saw a video where they said to plant pepper plants two at a time together, so they can lean on each other and it helps pollinate as well. Is that true?
Yes peppers I've to hold hands.
Mr. Danny, I am in the same growing zone as you. On Mr. Mickey's Electroculture Antennas, which end goes in the ground, long end or short end? Thank you and God Bless y'all!!!!
Short
@@pecangrovems thank you!!
What would anyone say that to you about the radishes , you can grow anything … I love the Abe Lincoln tomatoes and they did good here in TEXAS
Strawberries are beautiful .. I need to go and rake up some pine straw for mine … I ate my first strawberry yesterday
Why would anyone say that to you about the radishes
Great video I hope people learn as much as I can from you guys because there is a war on farmers and Ranchers and people trying to be self-sustainable God bless everybody who tries to grow their own food and be self-sustainable
Danny where did you get the electroculture thing from
He got his from Hills Mill. They are friends of his, and worth watching.
Hills Mill homestead CZcams channel
@@pecangrovems ok Thanks
Do you put your plants in the ground during an overcast or full sun?
Overcast
Looks like you have short end in ground????
Yes I do.
Thank you?
Truly Awesome.
I've got onions, radish, cabbage, peas, carrots, potatoes and garlic in the ground so far. I'm so anxious to get my tomatoes and peppers in the ground but we just had a 31 deg morning and tomorrow is supposed to drop below that.🫤. I need a dose of patience.😊
ANYONE who tries to work with nature needs a large dose of patience! Them that try to work against nature will need even more, because in the end they will lose.
Wow what you have done to those flowerbeds are absolutely amazing. They all look healthy they’re growing just perfectly. I just wish I could get my garden started. We’re still down into the 20s sometimes at night even though we’re in April I’m hoping it warms up soon because i’m wanting to get my garden started. Thanks Danny and Wanda. God Bless.
