- The PRS SE NF3 is a distinct guitar in the PRS lineup. The heart of this guitar is a trio of PRS Narrowfield pickups, a first for the SE Series. Supporting these pickups is a poplar body, 22-fret bolt-on maple neck, and the choice of either a rosewood or maple fretboard. The SE NF3 is a versatile workhorse guitar that is fun to play and hard to put down. The Narrowfield DD (Deep Dish) “S” pickups are made with taller bobbins to fit more winds and extra metal pieces in between the magnets for a more focused, powerful tone.
Anchored with PRS’s patented tremolo, this guitar can bend and flutter
with ease. Perfect for rock, blues, gospel, country, or jazz the PRS SE NF3 can punch, cry, lay down, or sing - as you like it.

Can you please stop using Brian for the demos? Im gonna file for bankruptcy soon…
Seconded
😀 same!
It's just not fair!!!!
Can you please stop using Brian for the Demos?...His Playing is gonna lead me to quit my dream of being a Guitar Player and in playing like Him!
Just buy a Brian. Problem solved.
🫳🎤
At last !! A clear and precise demo of a guitar instead of a players distored whangery trying to blast my eardrums into oblivion. I really do like the guitar and the tone variations that Brian played and explained! I will definitely check this PRS SE NF3 guitar out!
Love that PRS is bringing their new tech to an affordable price point! Excited to give this one a play!
This is a killer sound and looking prs SE model.i Definitely will definitely get one. I like the look the design. Thank you PRS! For giving us choices of affordability.
Been waiting for this since so long! Theres a reason i chose PRS Guitars and i am proud to be their representative as Pulse artist!!
A spectacular addition to what is already a mind-boggling lineup of SE guitars.
Great demo Brian!!! The guitar sounds amazing!
Metallic orange with rosewood fretboard? Yes please.... Aaand ordered.
Just ordered my metallic orange too.
I'm pretty much a Fender-Gretsch guy. But I do own 3 PRS guitars. You can't fault them. Not even the SE series. Mr. Smith is a serious guitar builder. He always looks for ways to improve his instruments and the ones I own sound fabulous. They are among my treasured pieces in my collection.
Good addition to the SE lineup!
Exceptional Demo Brian. Did a great job showcasing all the sounds singularly and in a music mix. Outstanding. The guitar sounds great and looks really good too.
Another awesome guitar for the SE Series. Love it.
Definitely a great addition to the SE lineup. Very cool and unique guitar. I agree that it sounds more single coil-ish. I think it's great and could see myself picking one up, especially that orange color they have with the maple fretboard. 🔥
Lovely tones, gonna buy this for sure❤
Awesome work as always
Gonna be a great soul r&b guitar
This is such a cool se model !!
That middle position is great!
Sounds great Bryan!
I don't see myself playing one of these, but it sure does have PRS' commitment to quality in it for someone looking for this particular sound.
Sounds great, man!
Looks really great 👍🏼
Yes for real !!!! Y’all gonna make broke with this SE s love em
Oh sweet! Prs actually selling something that affects tone in a solid body electric guitar!
Sounds great!
*holds breath for SE T-Style guitar*
+1
It's coming.
Lots of people are waiting for it including me
DEARGOD FINALLY THE DC3 OR I MEAN NF3 IS BACK
Poplar body. Great aldernative if you ash me
Really nice!!!! ❤
Just great looking
Very cool!!
Maybe the best sounding pups I've ever heard. That guitar sounds great. And coming out of Indonesia, I'm shocked. I wish it had locking tuners. I'm truly impressed.
มาแล้วครับ ท่านผู้ชม PRS2024. รอทดสอบเสียงตัวจริงๆนะครับ ลุย🎉🎉😊😊
Venga ya!!! Otra?!?!? No tengo sueldo pa tantas PRS !!!!
🔥 🔥 🔥
A lot like the DC3 from years past. That was a killer guitar.
Damn, that's f^n killer!
I've got the original NF3, such a great guitar. I'm surprised someone hasn't had a special version made up as a signature guitar
Love that the body isn't just a silver sky.
Right? It's got a touch of the violin carve.
This looks awesome. I’d like to see it with 2 humbuckers similar to the. S2 Standards.
Yeah I might have to hit one of these.
I just saw this guitar played by Satria STM, i thought it wont be sold anymore. 🔥🔥🔥 PRS for lyfe
Nailed it
I just got a se McCarty 594 just last year and I love it. But this is a guitar I didn't think they would do an SE version of . I want one. I thought my next would be a DGT .
First heard the narrow-fields in the Core Studio line. As a primarily single-coil fan glad to see the narrow-field pickups become available at a more accessible price point in the SE line. Would love to see a version with white, cream, or mint bobbins to evoke more of the classic Silver Sky vibe.
Nice guitar I bought one just like the gunmetal one in the demo about an hour ago
Yeah just a big yeah here nice 👍 PRS
This guitar dates all the way back to 2011, it has the same neck, and the exact same body, it's so back!
Also original had a 25.25 inch scale length vs the 25 inch now
@@markharmon9892 OK, But how did iy ranked back then and how much did it cost then?
Yes! How did it rank then and how does it rank now? In the backdrop of so many guitars in the market place between $399 and $999?
@@jc9240 it was a USA made model back then and hence the cost was higher - I believe in the $1500-2000 range at the time.
The used market is fetching 2500$ and up for an original NF3 from 2011 era.
For PRS to release the SE NF3 at such a low price point it seem like they’re trying to stir up sales
Oh hell yea, that's cool 😎
Thank you
I was already looking at buying the silver sky se, but was hesitant because I just bought another strat, and buying even ANOTHER one so soon didn't really seem right. This is exactly what I need. Still a strat, but plenty different enough to justify it.
🤘
I really dig the carving on the upper body cutaway. It´s very different to that of Silver Sky which is more Strat Standard. It seems to be very similar to that of my 1991 EG4. Also the pickguard looks familiar to me.
"To Me", looks like they were trying to subtly suggest a Petrucci Majesty...feels faked...
Wow. I want that.
Those pickups sound nice, great they offer it in the more affordable se range…Do they make a hardtail version?
Some attractive features with the exception of the poplar body. I would seriously consider it had they used mahogany as they did in the DGT SE.
Wish it had been a tele se like an SE NF53 instead of the Strat body. Such a shame. Been wanting that since the cores came out ❤
How do these pickups compare to the narrowfield pickups in the Core Studio?
The Silver Sky never interested me bc it was just a Strat that happened to be a PRS. This is uniquely PRS. Very cool guitar
Another Strat Killer!
Another Strat rip off!
I've never heard of the NF3. I guess it is an model of the past since it's making it's debut as an SE model now. Before today, I've only heard of the NF53
Every PRS i buy is US made. And i always put Seymour Duncan custom shop sets in them. I think its crazy not to do a Colab with Paul and Seymour in the near future.
Would this pickup be similar to goldfoil pickups in terms of overdrive handling and character?
Just bought a SS SE couldn’t get along with it. It had that tight nut spacing like Sterling guitars, also has their neck feel, like a bare wood, I sold it to someone who could appreciate it. Glad to see the 10” radius with pick guards. How’s the finish on the neck?
Need next a HSS version with Starla bridge humbucker 🤤
Hmmmm... Sounds tasty!
Please remake the EG Core and SE line!🙏🏻
I had a USA one in natural wood finish. Found it at Guitar Center for $900. Now good luck finding one under 2k.
Make it with wade fat, pattern or pattern vintage neck profile and my hard earned moneyz will be yours. Love to see SE line up evolving all the time. I like these pick ups a lot. It’s the first time when SE pickup don’t feel like a compromise.
Still waiting for the Vela SE 😊
What would be a better choice this or a silver sky se? And Why?
Wow position two sounds like a strat sound.
Why is that wow who wants another strat sounding guitar that’s what the silver sky is for.
How many times it had to be recorded to successfully say bass pickup instead of neck pickup?
Personally, I am not a fan of this guitar.. but that's exactly why I love PRS, they always have something for everyone! ❤
I just took a test drive of one of these today. I played through a couple of amps. The guitar sounds wonderful clean, and at edge of break up. But I could not get a satisfactory tone with higher gain/distortion. I much prefer the Silver Sky pick ups - they are more balanced.
Is that steely dan for the intro?
Sounds sweet but I don’t expect anything different from Brian🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Cool
Bryan-Great chops!! Where can I find a slide like you’re using? I’ve been looking for one like that forever, and not been able to find one. 😟 In advance, thanks for the assistance!
thx - it's titanium, made by Furious Slides
@@BryanEwald Thanks, man. Where’s a good place to score one?
An upscale swamp ash Body version would be nice!
I really want this guitar, but a blue one with maple fingerboard.
Are these any different from a hum free P-90?
Tune that bad boy
Sounds great but missing bridge neck combo
Prs always does this to me, i want one. Lol
So where’s the left handed version? I’ll be so happy for the day when guitar manufacturers release both at the same time. Come on, we would like to get excited and not disappointed all the time.
@ southernpanda33 Paul has gone on the record in not believing in left handed guitars so maybe after he dies.
@@aperezdeal I mean, he also says wood matters in a closed circuit (It doesn’t) and he did just announce the Silver Sky left handed coming soon, so. 🤔
@ southernpanda33. Wow Mr “no left handed pianos” himself finally capitulated? Nice!
@@aperezdeal wait, he said that, too? Does he not realize they’ve existed for a long time?
Please go old school and make a stoptail version
Id love to get one and remove the middle pickup.
Calling the neck pickup the bass pickup is new to me.
Love it. Now HSH, full size humbucker, true single coil, full size humbucker.. and match my headstock to the body.
Then you'd have what Charvel won't do (they make candy coated guitar without matching the headstock, which is lame)
Looks like a great Cali style super shredder (could be maryland style super shredder from here on out.
But I'm not down with almost single-coil almost hum-bucker sounds. (p90, sure, but not really).
PRS should have the pickups white. Do that and I'm all in.
4:05 "I'll never be your beast of burden"
Whats the tone control set at...
I need to be straight-up and honest. The Narrow Field pickups are a great idea. However, the guitar itself looks like the non-signature version of a Silver Sky, exactly as you did with the Miles Kennedy Signature and the NF 53.
Is Kanami of BAND-MAID's new PRS a Signature Model or Reserve?
this is based on the EG3 model of the early 90s
The real question still exist: Is this Guitar and Model the best Strat Style Guitar in its price range?, The best overall Guitar in its price range?, or the best PRS Guitar in its price range?
Since you insist on taking all of my money, Paul... 7 guitars, 1 amp, countless shirts, several cables, tuner, straps, and more accessories, i will say i am happy to give it to you as long as your still at the helm.
The day you step down, I dont know if the quality and ingenuity will still be there.
Vela SE pleeaaase 😁
Would you have NF53 SE? :)
Stop it! You're gonna give the String Tree folk a stroke!
Brian made me buy 9 PRS guitars instead of a car... now I have to share a car with my gf
No effing way. I’d prefer a core model again, but I’ll take what I can get.
