I’m 82 and just found Dan Vasc on CZcams. When I heard this I got chills at his voice. Now I follow him and share with my 80 ish friends and my grandkids 💕 He is phenomenal 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I'm 72 and same here. I listen to all his music now having first been captured and captivated by Amazing Grace.
Dan’s dad gave him the harmonica. He passed away before Dan made it big and he’s talked about it before.

Dan knows how to take care and of his voice. He was a student of Ken Tamplin, and learned how to protect his voice when doing that kind intensity and distortion…that’s one of Tamplin’s main focuses.

What an absolute Masterpiece!!! I've got chills all over!
I'm not a fan of most heavy metal, but I really love Dan Vasc. Listening to him actually showed me the amount of vocal ability and training and power that actually goes into good metal music. It's not just some guy screaming into a microphone. Dan has an amazing voice and the control he has over it is just wonderful. I've even began to appreciate other heavy metal somewhat.
(And don't ask me how I discovered Dan if I don't like metal, I don't even remember. But I'm glad I did )

I am 54 years old. Amazing Grace is my favorite with the old rugged cross. But I am a metal head. So when I go off to see Jesus this will be my version of Amazing Grace. The bag pipes get me too but metal is where my heart lays.

I'm 68, have heard this song many times, many ways, and not a huge metal fan, but this has got to be the greatest rendition of this beautiful song ever! Gave me chills.
Dan is one of a kind! I first heard him sing Faithfully by Journey and my mouth hung open! Steve Perry is "the Voice" but even he has to give Dan a thumbs up! 👍 Know I have listened to his covers a hundred times! The harmonica was given to him by his dad at age 6. He lost him to cancer and he was devastated. I feel his love and pain in Amazing Grace.

I stumbled across Dan’s channel 3 days ago and heard him sing Amazing Grace for the first time. I was incredibly moved by his rendition and since then I’ve listen to anything else that I find. He is absolutely amazing and the way he sang this reached into my very soul.

Hi Ken! I like the psychological side of the song; this man is good at singing, but he's very surprising; he sang higher just on the first time, after he played a melody with the instrument; and after the solo he kept the audience intention like "what's next?" And that's how he did what no one was expecting, he gave to the performance the value that fits it. Thank you for this reaction video.

Personally my new absolute favorite version of Amazing Grace
My father was Welsh and a singer. We always knew he wanted this song at his funeral. So when he died last year I was surprised to see in his will it was this version he wanted. Everyone loved it.
This rendition of this song gives me the chills, goosebumps and tears....just all the feels it is meant to. I could not be more grateful to Dan Vasc for putting all his own emotions into it. I have alreadey made it known that THIS is the rendition I want played when my time comes to pass.

This version popped up in my CZcams and I was a bit intrigued. I had never heard of Dan Vasc before and loving this song, was curious about a “metal singer”’s rendition…. My mind was blown 🤯, my socks 🧦 were blown off and I needed to hear more from this artist ‼️There was a bit of chat after a couple of his songs 🎶and I liked what I heard him saying. I listened to a few more of his vids including his rendition of “the Star Spangled Banner” 🇺🇸… WOW and the Easter Egg at the end… I subscribed and became one of the many who enjoy his voice💜💜💜💜

I can never choose any "best" moments throughout Dan's performance of "Amazing Grace." I had never heard of him at all, until he posted it, and now I'm thoroughly hooked. I'm glad you mentioned opera, because I would love it if you would react to Dan's "Nessun Dorma." People are always saying that Pavarotti has never been outdone, on that song, but I think he HAS...by Dan. Also, Dan does three different covers from "Phantom of the Opera." One is a solo, the other two are duets with a female (two different ones--both equally great, themselves). Plus he also does a BEAUTIFUL job singing the theme from the "Beauty and the Beast movie, with one of those same ladies singing the female lead part. Every one of those presentations are wonderfully gorgeous. Also, I'm wondering if you've ever heard Dan's 24-voice, single person version of Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" from "The Messiah." If you haven't, you might want to. That one ought to REALLY have you worrying for his voice! He sings every part--including the high soprano. I've sung those parts many times in the past. They are definitely not the easiest in the world to sing, with quality and clarity, but...yeah...Dan...oh my! 😀

Fearless, an appropriate name for his group. He is fearless, and can do absolutely anything. He nails everything he does. Goosebumps every time. I do hope he reads his fans comments, to know just how much we love him, and appreciate all of his hard work to put out the very best of anything he does. Not enough words. I lost my middle son to an overdose in February 2008. Multiple friends and family to the same since. The last was March 5th this year. I'm so moved by this! Our Father in heaven loves us so much, and is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL come to a saving grace through the blood of His only begotten perfect Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! (2 Peter 3:9) So thankful for His sacrifice! And for this beautiful amazing rendition of one of my all-time favorite hymns!! That was jaw-dropping!! Stunning vocals and emotion. While your checking out amazing metal singers the list needs to include legends Ian Gillan/Deep Purple and David Coverdale/Whitesnake. Both incredible vocalists. Child in Time (Ian)and Still of the Night (David) are great songs to start with.
