Nutsa is the only non American who reached top 12 of American Idol. This is a massive achievement for anyone and especially if you are from a tiny country like Georgia. Yes, she performed in number of live shows and she was absolutely amazing. Nutsa was also invited to perform with Kylie Minogue "Can Get You Out of My Head" in the final show and she did wonderful. Honestly, Georgia is one of my favorite countries in eurovision because of their do whatever attitude and that isn’t changing this year. I really enjoy this and the chorus is super catchy. I’m becoming hopeful that she’s going to bring a Fuego level performance to Malmö!

@@ONA-MM Jedward totally did water in … 2012 maybe? I don’t know that anyone else has done like a fountain or rain like that, someone more expert in ESC would have to chime in. Imagine a ring of fire like in the videos and then a rain at the end to put it out like a FIREFIGHTER. Haha!

There's a video of her singing the star spangled banner at a Dodgers' game not too long ago. She nailed it but as an American it's kinda funny to see a Eurovision artist sing my country's national anthem lmao.
I think staging and standing out are gonna be crucial here. I trust she can sing well but Georgia's delegation needs to pull out every stop they can.

This is borderline NQ for me, this semi is easily the strongest of the 2 imo and there are 7 sure qualifiers 2/3 dead certs NQFs and this one sits in a group of 6/7 borderline QF for the final 3 slots and I just don't see it doing better than the rest

These comments are very negative, as far as the girl bops go this year, this is honestly the best. It has excellent vocals, a stand out concept that can be fleshed out to help it stand out, and an interesting, out of the box structure compared to the others. The ending especially is a moment
Agreed. There's a spectrum of girly bop. This is seriously at the great end. Perhaps 'girly bop' is a term that carries connotations of generic music. This is up there with Fuego and Adrenalina for me.

I like Firefighter. It’s good for the car, the drinks and the dance floor. Will it qualify? The staging has to be on point, as does the performance. Otherwise, I see this getting ate up by Kaleen. Thanks for all fab videos!
We have too many of this exact style songs this year, heck even the rhythm is not unique this year. It's going to be close to qualify, but if it does all these female solo artists will cannibalize eachother I think.

I'll admit that my first impression was a bit meh. It's obvious that Georgia wants to qualify and throws everything plus the kitchen sink at it. Everything is at just over 100%, the production, the vocal, the drama, while there's nothing really new here and it doesn't feel very deep
That being said, I caught myself humming it a day later. The last minute of the song, where you hear more Georgia in the e production, does make a strong impression, and there's no denying that Nutsa has a great voice and looks like a very commanding performer. The choreo looks pretty slick and thoughtful; let's hope they don't forget to bring it to stage this time. That last tableau of her with the dancers, where they make this almost soldier-like pose, is pretty striking.
I think Georgia is definitely in the mix to qualify, although I wouldn't have it locked as I have some others in this semi.

Generally, I quite like this for what it is and it's definitely not a skip. The thing that really irritates me is the lyrics. Some generic stuff which annoy me more than other examples of a similar standard. Will still be listening though!

I find it funny how Georgia is starting to just make lyrics that make 0 sense. 2022, 2023 and 2024. Can we go for 4 in a row next year? hope so since this is becoming a bit of a fun tradition haha.

yea i do think it reaches a point where if you are non-qualfying 6/7/8/9/10 times, its harder to defend staying in to the public. so i think sometimes you need to strategise

I'm really disappointed with this song. I had such high expectations/hopes for Georgia, when I heard the song was written and produced by Darko Dimitrov. He is a north Macedonian songwriter/producer and has made so many amazing songs in the whole balkan and also in eurovision. Like Tamara Todevska - Proud, Arilena Ara - Fall from the Sky, Hurricane - Loco Loco/ Hasta la vista, Vladana - Breath and so on. This man knows what he is doing and he is been killing it. Fire fighter is by far his weakest work I can imagine of his whole tracklist 😶 I'm sorry Goergia, maybe you had to pay him more for a better song but this is a borderline NQ in the strong second semi.

I'm not a fan of "girly bops" and never have been. Quite honestly, I hope they all cancel each other out. But especially this one. This and Austria are my least favorites. And my impression of Nutsa is just that she wants to be a pop star - not impressed with her at ALL.

@@sav0001 Its just my impression, never met her obviously, but she seems much more interested in being a "star" than in the music. And that's along the lines of why I don't like these kinds of songs...I don't like songs with little meaning just meant to dance to.
