Good to know there's an Eataly in Boston! I enjoyed seeing the Christmas decorations at both of the high-end malls along with the ornaments outside. 😍 I was impressed with the pedestrian skybridge and the connected underground path to the subway. Thank for sharing AK. I used to work in the Prudential Center. At 101 Huntington and later 111 Huntington Ave. Looks like my old haunts the Barnes and Noble bookstore closed (just as you got up the escalator on the right as you entered.)

Prudential Center is Luke The Embarcadero of San Francisco. The Embarcadero is the Rockefeller Center of San Francisco. I used to go to the Christina Yamagchi Skating Rink in the Bay Are. I usually run out of breathe going thru Boston. It takes Havard Stamania

The John Hancock Tower - 60 floors - is the tallest building in Boston at 790 ft. The Pru, 50 floors, is 749 ft. If you look at the two buildings next to each other the Hancock is clearly the taller building.
Also looks like the Microsoft store closed too. The spot where you turned left to go towards the Copley Mall. To the right was another set of stores too.
Prudential Center and its christmas ornaments those giant red balls at 0:30 and 3:35 looked great , overall the mall and the christmas decorations looked great with the trees 🌲🌲and all😎Thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!

Prudential and Copley Center has plenty of stores for shopping . I guess Xmas decorations will have to wait for the economy picks up again. But I think the did a great job maintaining businesses.

I wish most of the shops & boutiques on Newbury St could be inside either here or Copley place. I mean for the most part I’ve never even heard of let alone shopped in most of the stores inside the prudential center w the exception of saks. & there’s so many shops like Lilly Pulitzer, Alice & Olivia, Free People, Rag & Bone, Valentino are all up & down Newbury but they’d be easier to access inside a closed space like the center. I’m sure rent plays a big part in that. But a stand alone stores rent must be more than a mall space rent.
& it has a store like madewell which is really like an old navy. It’s considered fast fashion, & while most of the brands I mentioned are ready wear fashion at least their not fast fashion.

Did you do this mall-to-mall walk because I suggested last year or the year before? If yes, cool; if no, oh well still cool anyways. As mentioned in another video, both of these malls have direct underground subway access.

I just finally visited The Sunrise Mall on Long Island, the first actual Dead Mall in the area, and it was terrifyingly empty, four stores left open, nothing else there. These days the better
malls, these, and the ones up in Toronto or Montreal, I notice, are all so spectacularly swank and upscale, and aimed at higher income folks, but the prices are commensurate, and that's
one reason I tend not to even shop at places on LI like Roosevelt Field anymore. But back in the 70s and 80s our malls were not really super high end, they were aimed at the middle
class to a large extent. These places are just not. Sunrise Mall was more for the middle class decades ago, unfortunately it's the first mall on Long Island to die the death completely,
due to the previous owner Westfield's poor management, and other economic and Covid factors. I've been to the newer Providence Place Mall in RI and that's huge, but it's also not
nearly as glitzy as the Boston ones. It sort of is. I don't feel comfortable walking into shops like Neiman Marcus, the snob factor is incredible, as are the prices!

These malls in Boston, and the Toronto Eaton Center, are clearly thriving and I'm assuming it's due to super high income folks that keep it going. I mean, someone has to be dropping huge coin at Neiman Marcus or Rolex or Breitling, etc. and the high end label shops. Otherwise nobody makes any profit!
I agree they did the same thing to my del amo Mall out here in Torrance California; it used to be the largest one in the world back in the seventies where all us teenagers went but Simon redid it a few years ago it's very fancy you better wear your tiara and your tuxedo in there to the food court where you buy your $10 tacos. I've only been there twice just to look at the Christmas tree couldn't wait to get out of there ‼️🎄‼️

@@thiscorrosion900 and the one in San Diego near the gaslamp district used to be So glorious it had four or five levels I believe and was outdoors, now they've closed most of the levels and most of the stores and it's really a Ghost Town, plus the homeless have taken over the whole environs so pedestrian traffic is not what it used to be 😭
