Uuno's actor Vesa-Matti Loiri played billiards on Finnish championship level, all the shots are real.
He was the chairman of Finnish Billiard association Many years.
But they sometimes had to take multiple takes.
Uuno Turhapuro was something I watched a lot from TV when I was a kid. It was always so fun and it made its own humor which is what comedy should be in my opinion.
Vesa-Matti "Vesku" Loiri was a true multi-talent. Actor, comedian, singer and musician, but also a very versatile athlete, playing e.g. football, handball, basketball, water polo, golf and billiards, among other things Loiri also boxed before his acting career really started. Loiri won the Finnish championships in handball and water polo. In the Finnish billiards championships, Loiri has at best been ranked 14th, on the other hand, Loiri did not seriously play all possible forms of billiards other than Kaisa or karolina. Loiri also served for a long time as the chairman of the Finnish Billiards Association. As an actor, Loiri had quite a versatile talent, in addition to Uuno Turhapuro, Loiri's most famous characters include Nasse-setä, Tyyne and Jean Pierre-Kusela, all of whom are comedy characters. But Loiri also played many more solid film roles. In addition to films and TV series, Loiri also worked as a theater actor. As a singer, Loiri is especially remembered as an interpreter of Finnish iskelmä music, although Loiri also performed e.g. tango and rock music too.
Vesku also did his own stunts. He played severel instruments and was great singer Definitely miss the guy. Show - and sportmanship like none other ♥️
Vesa-matti Loiri was a multi-talented person, billiards was already mentioned, but now the first things that come to mind are also boxing, water polo, handball, football as a goalkeeper, etc. However, the actor's career took its course and he is also known as a charming artist who filled halls with people and Eino Leino's poems were Very important to Loiri. Can someone help me here..... Just trying to figure out why this sketch is connected to the word " Comedy ".
This is a movie scene from the movie "Uuno Turhapuro armeijan leivissä", which is a comedy, like all other Uuno turhapuro movies
Call me a grammar nazi, but it bothers me to see so many words mispelled in these subtitles for Finnish videos. I mean, of course it is nice to have these subtitles so that international audiences can understand the jokes, but I feel it is bad reputation when the language is broken like this. Grammar mach frei.
