Spark Plug complete detailed information with air gap, replacement, types, cleaning, location etc. Namaste Dosto Ham apke liye laye hai ye Spark plug ka video. This video is made for people who want to learn about spark plug or who is studying automobile engineering or doing job in any automobile sector. Spark plug is very important part of petrol and CNG engine, where spark is created to ignite the air fuel mixture and start the combustion.
Spark Plug gap - 0.5 mm to 1.2 (when you buy new spark plug it will mostly come with 0.5mm value.
Spark Plug replacement schedule - as spark plug works in very harsh environment, usually replacement schedule varies from 10,000 Kms to 100,000 Kms depending upon material of spark plug. Copper made spark plugs should be replaced within 20,000 Kms and Iridium based spark plugs can work fine upto 100,000 Kms.
Spark Plug Components -
1. Central Electrode
2. Ground Electrode
3. Insulator
4. Gasket
5. Shell
6. Terminal Nut
7. Ribs
It is mainly made up of 3 components Central Electrode, Ground Electrode and Insulator.
12V supply comes from Ignition coil and it converts it to 12,000 Volts to 38,000 Volts based on Micheal Faraday’s law of Electromagnetic Induction. This high voltage current goes to spark plug and produces spark near air gap due to ionization of air fuel mixture and finally the current get its ground from cylinder head.
Spark plug should be installed based on its condition, If spark plug is new then install it with the help of hand and when it start to resist, use special tool and rotate it to 90 degree & If spark plug is old rotate 30 degree only.
Spark plugs are generally placed near to inlet valve due to cooling requirement as exhaust valve get very hot while engine is in operating condition.

How much gap for water pump spark plug?
Sir spark plug mein beech ki tip and electrode whitish hai lekin plug ki golai (circumference) jyada kala hai. Kya kami hai engine mein. Please btayein
White spot on tip is due to overheating of spark plug and black spot is due either carbon deposition or engine oil seepage.
What is difference between BOSCH R0 & R6 spark plugs?
Can use it without ground electrode
No Sir, ground electrode is important to initiate a spark. Without ground electrode no spark will occur as circuit will not complete.

1st- Ye usse ECU-Electronic Control Device btata hai.
Ignition coil ko 12V ki supply ECU ke kehne pr milti hai. Fir ignition coil spark plug ko high voltage deta hai.
2nd- Same for Turbo Engine
Turbo engine mein bs intake air ki quantity bdai jati hai.
