i did this monologue for theatre class, got a standing o. one of the only ones i got really into cuz this speech was so dope. gave me goosebumps first time i saw it. soon as my teacher said we’d be doing short monologues, i though of this one immediately. acting in this scene was top notch, both of them.
tara coming back was a sign for him to get out and have the life his dad always wanted for him not for them to stay in a life of crime together. her loyalty and endless devotion to him got her killed. loving him until the end and choosing him over herself was her biggest mistake.

But if I loved that man deeply and he loved me? I’d imagine it’d be pretty difficult especially with a foundation and history like Jax and Tara’s.

Personally, I think, it was enough killing and chaos thru out the show, that it needed light of positivity. So what I first stated would have been the perfect ending.
I could never envision that. Their love story was unfortunately always destined to end in tragedy because of the environment they were in. It was always destined to be Jax holding her body or Tara holding his.

Agree, but the real mistake was his. He promised something that he didn't deliver on because he kept getting sucked into the club's conflicts, and when he finally changed his mind it was too late.
Janina it might not be entirely his fault, but he had many chances throughout the course of the show to bring things to a resolution where he could leave the club. That's something he could never bring himself to do, and it would have saved Tara in the end.

Jack was an childish asshole. Also, in the club the cheat thing was accepted by the womens of the club, only if they didn't take whore's home. But, at season 6x13 you can see Jax evolution when he was about to deliver himself to authority's to save Tara and his sons.

His entire character arc is him getting in deeper and deeper to try and get out so he can have a safe and normal life, he was simply destined for a life of chaos and... mayhem. He made a lot of bad choices, but in the end he cleaned up his mess as best he could, Tara didnt die due to the life Jax led she died because Gemma was a crazy bitch. Jax protected her from everyone but the only one he wasn't smart enough to see coming and I don't think any of us saw that coming. He is a typical human capable of great miraculous things and horrible mistakes, his stakes were just higher than most of ours are.
He did let her go though. Later on he told her to take their boys and go to Oregon without him since he had to officially take over the club from Clay. Jax knew that he wasn’t getting out. Tara CHOSE to stay. Tara CHOSE to drink the poison. It wasn’t as if she didn’t know Jax’s life. She left town for that reason. But she came back because of Kohn and the fact that she knew that Jax could take care of Kohn when the police couldn’t.
