These were the sets of my childhood! So many good memories I had to make a brickfilm with them
Pirates is definitely one of my all-time favorite themes. ❤ Such good memories of me, my brother, and my sister playing with these, and some of the newer ones as well.
I’d have to say you reignited my enjoyment of vintage pirates with your Forbidden Island review from awhile back. Since Christmas I’ve been gradually adding to my collection from this theme. Great video!
That’s wonderful! Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Fantastic collection ❤ great video
Thank you!! 😊
I wish I would have gotten more Pirates sets as a child. I only ever had 3 sets from the initial wave in '89; and all 3 were the really small cheap ones. 6235, 6245 and 6251; would have loved to have one of the ships and one of the forts though at least. LEGO released a lot of Redbeard's though; came in 14 sets and 4 of those were in the original release wave in '89.
I got the pirate ship from that wave. It was really fun to play with!
I knew your Pirates collection was good - but I didn't know it was this good! The Imperial Trading Post is definitely the crown jewell of the collection. I think it's my no.1 dream Lego set to own. I hope you'll give it a special place!
That was an excellent list! I remember Ship Wreck Island being another fun small set.
Thank you! Shipwreck Island would definitely be on my honorable mention list! Great little set!
So jealous of the Islanders set!! Luckily, I do still have my original Imperial Trading Post from back in the day. I was only 4 when that set came out, so I don't know what my parents were thinking, buying that for me! Must have been a year or so down the road once it was on sale or something.
Great collection of pirate sets have a great weekend 😁
I only have 6296 Shipwreck Island, it was the first LEGO set I ever had that wasn’t a generic bucket of bricks, I recently got a nice non-chewed up one to replace it. The box and the little paper inserts must’ve been amazing to me when I was like 4, sadly I don’t have those.
We were the kind parents that purchased #7 and #1 for our kids. We have recently rebuilt all of our classic sets into our Lego room and integrated them with the latest sets. Love your videos and your enthusiastic and very informative reviews.
Although technically an Ideas set, I think Pirates of Barracuda Bay is an epic set.
It is! I was only including 4 digit sets in this list.
Good choices! Always thought theme had best small sets.
Such a great collection!
I love the Islander set. I have an incomplete set of the Enchanted Island, working on completing it. I played too hard with it as a kid and traded a bunch of the minifigures. 🤦🏼♂️
I got the Forbidden Island set for christmas when I was a kid, many fond memories of that set.
Pirates was my favourite as a kid, so thanks for sharing your top 10. I have some of those sets and love them too.
Great sets, Stacey! 👍 On my list number one and number two would be in different order. Otherwise my ranking would be the same. 😊
There's just something about the pirate theme set of those days.
I recently bought a second Caribbean Clipper and made a bigger version of it as I am more of a builder.
Also, you have beautiful hair
Caribbean Clipper is a beautiful set as well! 🔥
Forbidden Island was my first ever Lego set ever. Enchanted Island was my second. Shared w/ my brother. Those are my one-two, for the memories. Thanks for making and sharing your great list!
Pirates Lego. One of my favorite.
I only had a few islanders and pirates sets, but this was fun and educational to watch
Set 6277 definitely deserves the spot you gave it!!! It's such a great set!
The only difference that I know of between the original and reissue of Red Beard Runner is the sails. I think the copyright is different... I'll have to look at mine (I own both versions).
We love this set so much. It’s one of our most valued Lego set which we bought when it first came out.
i wish they would just re print all these old sets, dont change them dont add to them just re print re issue bc Pirates and medieval were literally perfect
I had no ideal that the boat from the El Dorado remake set was a remake of the boat from the Imperial Outpost. I thought Lego just made a new boat for the set.
I'm partial to Forbidden Island because I got it as a kid. Does yours have a functional cannon?
I had no idea Pirates Ambush is rare. Any insight as to why?
I think it was only released in US.
All of the Pirate sets from 1997 were U.S. exclusives making them all extremely rare.
