It’s okay if you feel the need to help them but leave your mother out of it. It’s true you are welcomed because you are able to help - always remember that you don’t know what is in people’s hearts - you may be expecting gratitude but other issues might arise in the future. Respect your mother’s painful past regarding your father and step-mother. She can forgive but she can never forget. If you were helping your half-siblings with education or such that might be better but building the house and pulling your mother into the situation is insensitive. I wish you well but please don’t pressure your mother or brothers to interact with the step-family.
