I just ordered one ! The potential problem I see is finding a large enough/flat enough sit to prevent water from pudding underneath. I'd want some type of "footprint" and a blanket or some other type cushioning over that. I also plan on movers blankets or other type of floor covering.
very detailed video, very impressive. i am the tent manufacturer in China, and we are selling most of the tents you are posting, hope i have the chance to talk with you
Thanks for the great video! I just purchased one of these as well. I was intrigued by your comment about a stove flu and I’m wondering if you’ve installed the gasket yet and if you’re worried about the material melting?
Thanks for such a detailed and thorough video! Definitely encouraging me to purchase one. I was just wondering if you've had a chance to test out how well it stands in strong wind/rain?
Just got mine and I love it I'm probably going to buy three or four more for some property I have up in the desert and will be available for Airbnb rental but the quality is nice
0k, curiosity got the best of me and I was able to confirm that the advertised dimension of, "13.5 feet" applied to across the flats and calculate that, "14.58 feet" was the dimension across far point to far point and the area (floor space) was 150 square feet.
I really haven't had it in anything too torrential. I understand the canvas theory, but think if I ever want to go that route I would treat it with something.
I am considering putting a stove jack in so it can be more year round. I understand the canvas concept of how it deals with rain, but really don't want to test it, or snow loading it. It would probably do ok, but it is after, the properly drying it would be hard for me so I won't go there for now. There are some tents that have a different pole setup, not center, but like an internal pyramid that may do better. Hope that helps
There is no rating. Personally I don't take it out when it is going to rain a lot. If it was something I would take out in the rain I would treat it with something. Not an expert in canvas style tents.
Your video is appreciated!! We purchased one yesterday. Thank you for taking the time on the details!- Oregon folks here.
One of the best setup tutorial video for this tent
Thanks for the great & very informative review. You definitely made me make up my mind.
Super thorough video, just purchase this and will rewatch to help me set up, thank you!
very detailed video. thanks so much for all the thought and information :D
Awesome video. I’ll be camping tomorrow in it. It’s nice to see all the details before I break it out of the bag
Best review ever! Thanks for this level of detail
Thank you I got mines from Sam’s Club for my granddaughter glamping party and I didn’t have a clue how to set this up 😊
Nice thank you

Best review on CZcams explaining this tent. I just bought it and this was helpful. Do you know diameter of the steel center pole?
- Thank You -
Great video, is the window and door bug protection no-see-em mesh? We get lots of midges around here.
👍

I would like to know this too please!!
Got it last summer..Can't wait to try🎉Mentioned a vent for a stove chimney?
Just got mine and I love it I'm probably going to buy three or four more for some property I have up in the desert and will be available for Airbnb rental but the quality is nice
while I have and like this tent, no way does it compare in quality to a heavy duty canvas tent, especially for your intended use. Don't go cheap.
@@gloppy101 I agree my friend 6 months after using it it tore up like wet toilet paper canvas is much better
Can anyone tell me how well the seams are sealed, or is it necessary to seal them yourself?
Does the 13.5 foot dimension refer to across the points or across the flats ?

XEach of the 8 circumferential flats = 5' - 7.1" .
You're going to need a 21goot circle just minimum to set up the tent.
How has it faired in heavy rain?
I really haven't had it in anything too torrential. I understand the canvas theory, but think if I ever want to go that route I would treat it with something.
Would you use it in winter?

Does this tent have slot for stove?
no
What's the waterproof rating of it..

How are these in the rain?
I would like to know this too please!!
Been using this tent for 3 years and so far, it's been dry with maybe 3-4 nights of rain.
I payed $79.00 for mine.
Where did you buy that for 79$?
I paid £5.50 new and unused
