- Hallo, you cool people! Today we unbox the brand new Harley Benton R-458 together.
Oh yeah, this is a guitar with strings! In this video I also give some sounds through my Marshall JVM410H.

The reverb comes from the amp and I added a little bit extra reverb on one spot (you'll recognize) in the post-processing.

I like the colour. It looks great with oranges. Not so sure about apples.

It depends on the light. The greenish finish fits to oranges and the purple side of the flic-flac design tends to match apples 😂

Struppmann, every time I look at your videos I look at that stand behind you and keep wondering if you are not afraid that those amps will break the support and fall on your guitars :)
I see the strength beam, but I still wonder every time you upload a video.
PS. I tried that fix from your HB jaguar active video on my ST20 HH and its much more quiet now.
My recommendation of songs on 8 strings, all of Deftones that are in 8 string (so albums: Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan, Gore, Ohms)

Hi Philipp! The stand is one of a kind that I built myself into a bunk bed. It's basically scrap-wood covered with foam and red imitation leather and offers space for 14 guitars :)

How are the pickups in your opinion? I just saw a Cory Mura's mod to reduce the noise buy i'm not sure how far can anyone mod them to reduce the muddy sound
The PUs are surprisingly good. They lack of that growling low end, but that might be because of the relatively "thin" B and F# string. Might be tighter with thicker ones. Other than that they are modern sounding and till now I don't see a reason to change them.
Btw: I played the guitar in my rehearsal room yesterday at a reasonable volume - no noise problems at all!

overall I think this guitar sounds extremely uninspiring,goes out of tune way to quick and sounds terrible with distortion, which defeats its purpose please tell me I'm wrong 😆
You're wrong 😄
Sounds good with distortion (just too thin strings for the necessary tension), no grounding issue.
Tuners could be better, but do their job. I would chance them for better reliability in live-situations.
