That's an honorable point of view, Kevin. While I haven't seen this for reasons of my own, I still would give it a chance because I like Emily Blunt. I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise either but my problem with him is how he's so often put in roles that he's not suited for. When he plays an utter asshole he's actually pretty good. It's when he tries to play a hero or a sex symbol that I can't suspend disbelief.
Hi Kevin. Mom's doing better today than she was yesterday but still needs some care. She should be going back to her assisted living facility in a few days, once they get her meds sorted out. Her potassium is back to normal and they've dried her out, but they're still fighting her blood sugar and respiration. Thanks for caring! Tell Tara and Bailey I've sacrificed a goat for them and sang the sacred metal version of Baby Shark in praise of the Mighty Cthulhu.
Shed probably like Oblivion a little more but it doesnt seem like shed get past Tom Cruise regardless. I get it though, there are a few actors i think need to change their face and have a fist delevered to their suckhole, luckily they dont get many roles.

I really really appreciate how because how much the movie wasn't liked, it almost became a parody of itself, which made the whole thing worth watching regardless.
I am not a fan of Tom Cruise either, that "power run" he does makes me giggle, but this was a good movie. It's based off a Japanese manga so the story is not "western" with all the political baggage that ruins western stories these days.
If she hates Tom that much, maybe show her Collateral. He's the bad guy so he's supposed to be hated.

Your hatred of Tom Cruise is great! (For your video) I completely disagree with you, especially trying to find a different actor to play Private Cage. They have producers, directors and casting agents to make that decision. I think this is a great movie! (The original name "Live, Die, Repeat" is a better name. It spells out that the writer thought of it while playing a FPS game.) And I think Cruise is really good in this!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The repetition part was so much fun, but then it got to the bad, boring part near the end. Tom Cruise was perfect for this, esp. since he was cast so against type at the beginning of the film. I made the later part better by slowing the replay to half speed, which made Tara sound very drunk.

This film is a special treat for dislikers of Tiny Tom.
There is, in fact, one singular great Tom Cruise movie. And he isn't really what makes it great. That movie is "The Last Samurai". All others are somewhere between complete shit and "meh". Personal opinion, of course. The Jack Reacher movies are decent but the show ousthines both of them. This movie is JUST outside the edge of "meh" into "okay, sure" territory.
It doesnt seem this is bad movie to Tara about Tom Cruise, this was more just not a movie concept that Tara likes, which is OKAY. But Tara exactly got the point, it's a movie about game resets. I appreciate this video, thanks K and T!

I’m the same way when it comes to swearing, it’s just kind of part of who I am, and happens almost unconscious of my ability to control it. I also tell people the same thing about bringing their kids around me, don’t do it unless you want them learning new, interesting words.
And I’m not a big fan of Tom Cruise either, there have been maybe eight or nine movies that he was in that I enjoyed, and can actually tolerate watching more than once. So bring on the Lilliputian Scientologist bashing!!!
And on this, I’m with Tara 100%, especially with recent movies like the Mission Impossible franchise, I think that he is trying too hard to stay relevant.

I used to be indifferent towards TC until the first Mission Impossible movie. I loved the '89/'90 TV show and was hyped for that movie and then he had to make it all about himself and kill off all my beloved characters from the show ("luckily"(?) they didn't even bother casting the same actors, but it was clearly meant to be them). From then on out I actually hated that guy for quite a while. Edge of Tomorrow was the first and only movie since MI of him that I saw, because I do love stories about any kind of time shenanigans. I actually really liked the repetitions. And if it wasn't for TC I might have really enjoyed it. But with him in it, it's just "okay". Nowadays I'm back to indifference, but I still won't watch anything with him if it is at all possible to avoid.

Not a Tom Cruise fan but he has made some decent movies this being one of them.
It's a fun movie: we get to see every possible way for Tom Cruise to be painfully mangled and die. And in the end we get to watch his delusional death visions as he and the mangled alpha die together. And everybody celebrates the end of the war and the disappearance of an arrogant coward Marine officer.
You don't have to watch Mission Impossibles on my behalf. Mr Phelps was an bright, intelligent, loyal, dedicated man. But to make room for Tom Cruise, they destroy Mr Phelps and let Tommie elbow him out of the way.

I figured out, Tom Cruise is an adequate actor. Not terrible, not great. The wonder bread of actors. I figured this out while watching "Oblivion" where multiple times I wondered what other actor would have been better in this role.
He's a placeholder, an (insert actor here) actor. Like plain white rice, flavorless and boring but does the Job of filling your stomach up.

I have watched this movie one and a half times before. The first time I kind of liked it, because I was curious how the story would end, but the second time was a drag. The repetitions were fun in "Groundhog Day", but in this movie they became boring very quickly. I still like the story of the movie, but I will probably never watch it again, unless they do a remake without Tom Cruise. So, for the most part, I'm team Tara - except for one thing: Nicole Kidman is much less annoying than TC. ;-)
By the way, the warning from Kevin during the editing process was just awesome! Of course I have watched until the end!
