I'm sorry if I was pedantic but Muslims will say it wasn't letters but vowelisation, so while that's true, it comes down to the same thing: the Qur'an has been edited and altered. It is not the same. It wasn't preserved perfectly. And that's even without the Uthman shuffling of the Quranic deck of Surah cards to maximise confusion and uncertainty.

I think the Muslim bro was saying that they enhanced the letter to make it more legible, I guess it's similar to writing the letter I as a straight vertical line or with a horizontal line on the top and bottom. But I'm assuming that many arabic letters look the same without the dots so it'd be very hard to add the right symbols every single time to preserve the same message.
