Today's video is all about one of the highly underrated hatchbacks in India, the Ford Figo. The Ford Figo is a fun to drive hatchback which is not only easy on the pocket but also efficient and reliable. The Figo might not have sold in high numbers like some of its rivals but it sure has a fan following of itself with enthusiasts swearing by it.

They too were great cars despite of their low sales and poor after market services
@@sahilgawali1906 Have added these to the que. Probably one detailed video on all the iterations of these cars including the Abarth and Avventura/Urban Cross variants
I drove swift 400kms before buying my figo tdci in 2019❤️. Also i drove almost every other hatchback at that time. Figo is One of the most underrated hatchbacks
FIGO and aspire are such cars that they are not easily available in used markets as people who buy these are so happy that they dont wish to sell them.... I was finding a used ford figo since january and ended up buying volkswagon ameo!!!! we earlier had ford fiesta 1.4 duratorque previously andit was literlly a beast!!!!
Very True
exactly bro!!!!
Fiesta is a beast it's amazing and butterly smooth
Me too....I'm searching....still searching... Can't see good one... Many Volkswagen are available
So true, a number of my neighbours have the first gen Figo diesel and they are still going strong.
Proud owner of Figo and feel really bad to see it not getting numbers it deserves. It's been 6 years now and it just keeps making me feel happy.
How was your experience with after sales service and maintenance costs.. I'm planning to buy used Figo..
@@kannadiga3644 After sales experience is good so far with average cost of 4k per service. Only additional maintenance I had to pay till date are battery replacement and tyre change. Hope this helps!
@@ErDilmeet tyre and battery change in 6 years time!! Any particular reason? Like you are heavy user or rare user..
@@kannadiga3644 Battery change was done twice after 3 years each as it lasted that much only. Front tyre change at 44k kms. Rear one's are fine for now. Current odo on my car is 45k.
a proud owner of 1st generation figo 1.4TDCI diesel it was a fabulous car😎😎😎🙌🙌🤘🤘🤘🤘 and too close to my heart💖
Same form 2011
Same 2010 petrol figo here ✌
I just don’t understand why this is so underrated, it’s value for money, feature rich and is one most powerful hatch back for the money you pay. It’s definitely worth
it 's 1.5 petrol engine is powerful than so called bull shit creta 1.5 litre diesel engine
Ford is a Stupid brand.. keeps on adding and deleting features from time to time.
Also Figo MKII chassis is rated unstable so.. lost points.
The Figo is least inspiring in terms of design inside out and quality
The stupid fools at Ford had to just give a Figo S with 1.5l Dragon Petrol. Diesel is Okkish.. but a 123 hp Dragon Figo 1.5S wud ve been Indias most loved warm hatch evrr.. but idiots don't even have brain of a school kid.
@@1989rs500 the old diesel engine is okkish but dragon series engines are rocket
@@NishantSharma-cv9ww
Yes.. but why no Figo S with 1.5l Dragon Petrol and MT?
Ford is stupid brand
@@1989rs500 I totally disagree with you my friend, the fact that we don’t get good cars in India doesn’t make it a stupid or a bad brand.
Proud owner of beast ford figo. THE BEAUTY 😍❤️
Me too
Hmmm I see
Bought Figo 1.2 zxi in 2010 only
100000 kms later today still going strong... The engine was not a scorcher by any means bt that HPS unit❤️
It was built so well as still not even a single thing rattles
I also own same but diesel completed 1.60 lakhs kms
My uncle have figo for 15 years. They sold it and bought ford ecosport titanium
2020 diesel. Hats off to Ford for their best performance, strong build quality, and reliability. But Ford should bring some changes in current figo and freestyle as it's gone outdated.
Proud owner of figo 1.5 tdci
I'm Freestyle TDCI owner.... the car will not give u a premium feel + looks lik hyundais,VW or Skoda but it's far more capable + fun to drive than other cars in this segment...the dynamics r very good....it's no non sense car....but underrated....
I will stick my neck out and say only mini cooper can offer more fun than this:)
Ford figo aspire proud owner 👏. Awesome car
I literally had tears in my eyes......such a gem..... such a beast........ Even the 1.2 L petrol does a great job........ It's far better than It's rivals......and what we're purchasing...... apparently Ford will discontinue these fabulous cars and leave the india one day......😔😣
I don't think so they will leave !!
@@amittyagi9705 ab aap maan rahe hai ki Ford will leave India one day....
Man he knew it 🔥
I owned a 2010 figo titanium deisel It was amazing👌
Excellent driver's car. Its been a pleasure from day 1..more than 24k and 20months later it still excites each time i drive it.
Thank you for such a wonderful video as always. It took me back to initial days of dough. Owning facelifted first generation Figo from 7 years. Its a great handler and brings a smile on my face everytime i drive enthusiastically... mine is a petrol workhorse and Bec of great hydrolic steering, suspension and chassis, even duratech petrol engines are good to drive. The only downer is the mileage where i get 12-14 kmpl if i drive it enthusiastically.... I plan to retain this car as long as i can
Long live Ford cars and especially the Figo ❤
Proud owner of figo Diesel ❤️
Excellent video! The Figo series is a legend!
We have 2013 figo titanium & 2014 fiesta classic. Both of them are powered by 1.4tdci engine. Both of them are fun to drive & utilitarian... I just love em.
The First Gen Legendary Figo .
Our First Car😍😍😍❣️❣️❣️
Power Steering and Rear Twist beam replacement..aah! Nostalgia 😁
I have 2019 FIGO petrol , very brilliant car. Very resonable price with great power and minimal gear shifts.
Initially I had no idea of FORD. just test drove it and I am impressed....This is one car I do NOT wish to sell...
And thanks Motor beam of Amplifing the Fact.
i have 1st gen figo petrol version, YES if i take long drive it never makes me tired instead it is fun & space is very comfortable front & back, the only issue is no power window @rear.
i have compared swift features on my figo but figo has more features than any other segments.
Great work team Motorbeam❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Want to see a history on the legendary Ambassador ❤️❤️
Excellent ! This time-line presentation of Figo in India so far.. was a great effort indeed. I own a 2014 zxi tdci. I was very delighted to see someone coming up with this time line dedicated to Figo which will be always be so special to every figoian. Not to forget Ford India kept refreshing the lineup. There are few grouses ..like south Africa mkt if I am not wrong ..got 3valve per cyl ,wheras we had 2 for 1st gen 1.4 diesel. No rear power window..this mistake I think ford will not repeat again. The last 1st gen figo with turn indicator on orvm was so special..I just missed it by a month. Ac is always a blast..! Ford is perhaps the only co in india which has brought in variety of OEM stock alloys ranging in different diameters. ..this is the case with ecosport over the years and also with Figo, fiesta, classic. The degradation in offering of regular and sync 3 infotainment was a very gimmicky marketing. ..sometimes it's there..sometimes it's on other trims..! Sync 3 is different aesthetically also with curved edges. By the way motorbeam thank you so much..I now have a self made hard copy of this timeline .
I loved the fact that you covered all the updates and editions, I own the last of the 'Paprika Red' 2014 tdci :-)
Thanks #MotorBeam team for this wonderful story.
I have a 2019 facelifted ford aspire titanium petrol model. Had one old diesel fiesta which was a gem to drive. Drove it 2.25 Lakh kms but had to dispose it off, because of lack of spares & service issues. But must say, ford made tremendous progress on service & spare front now.
Coming to current Aspire.....Reams and reams of beautiful stuff are written/told about the car and they are definitely true. Here writing couple of drawbacks from my experience, post driving it 25k+ kms.
1 - extremely poor NVH levels. Too much of wind and road noise creeps in. Even my 14+ year old Getz have lower noise level. 2 - it definitely need rear aur con vent. In hot environs of Northern India, AC cools quick but on long drive, need to keep air flow towards max to keep rear cool. Constant heavy flow of air & sound creates pretty discomfort to the driver. I do 500kms plus one side quite often. 3 - rear view mirrors definitely need change....they are too small to have proper view of rear and side traffic. 4 - right since I bought the car, it's high beam creates an inverted U black shadow.....till date in its three services, ford couldn't rectify it. 5 - rear seat is too upright , creates discomfort for passengers during long drive and it's thigh support is also negligible.
Hope ford listens and rectifies these in next update.
Why we like Motorbeam, simple reason they support good cars. This is just an example.
Proud 👍 to own one in our family 💞 , as i go to service center it costs 6k for 80000km service i was surprised, and the build quality, value for money, sportynes its a stunning hatchback in this segment , mileage is about 21 in coty and 25 in highway roads ect ........
I have a Ford Figo 2012 Dec Disel Car , Engine & Driving Dynamics of the car is the best in its segment offered in India but after service has become poor for past 3 years and lots of parts fail once the car is out of warranty of 5 years.
Worth watching it brother 😎👍
Still own a 1st generation Figo ...no car can match its handling capabilities till date.
Fiesta hold my handle
I have a 2105 2nd gen FIGO 1.5 diesel, 80K kms.
it is absolute driver"s car. very powerful, fun to drive and never get tired on long drives..
Proud owner of the 1.4tdci diesel engine. Clocked 95000 till date. Still going strong. And the handling just fun to drive.. love u Ford Figo. Pls dnt discontinue. Planning to get the new Ford Figo 1.5tdci diesel engine.
Proud owner of FS 1.5 D totally beast
Ford is a royal company and aspire and endeavour are the ambassador of this company ❤️
While everyone is talking about Figo I saw n love that model of mustang 🐎 sitting behind 😍
Bought a Figo 1.2L 2015 petrol base variant. Gives me mileage around 12-14kmpl. Fun to drive, yeah.
16:28 The 1.5L Dragon series petrol motor produces 150Nm of Torque
A new version is much much needed and awaited
Nice video bro
I own a first generation figo diesel zxi 2011 sept model..its just awsome❤️
Proud owner of my 2010 ford figo 1.4 tdci diesel engine. What an enthusiastic car it is.The power of the diesel engine is superb. But finally going to sale it after 70thousand km of fun drive.😭😭
Add Automatic variant, apple car play , projector headlamp … boom sales will go up
Hi bro, one of the best of it's kind.excellent review bro. Just a question on second hand ford aspire, 2017 model petrol, odometer shows 48,000 km company maintenance fixed with Telematic device. What could be the best price as per yourexperience?
Figo was a brilliant car from any point of view. Very unfortunate it's not selling now 😔 Amazing drive and fuel efficiency in diesel.👍
One of my favourite car!
Very nice & informative content.....one of my favourite Car. But sadly sales are getting worst month by month. Last month Figo has sold only 1 unit in all over India.....really.......bad......
please do a detailed video exactly like this on ford fiesta classic
proud owner of freestyle..
Very nice and very deep review of Ford cars, i am the owner of Ford ecosport , please also make detailed review on ecosport also...
Swift actually killed all the hatchbacks and sadly some of them were capable
swift killed market because people want mileage that's it
Yeah swift is a complete trash after 2011 🚮
Swift also killed few of it's owners. 🙂
@@SM-ih3go dark humour 😂
Proud owner of 2012 1st gen figo diesel 1.4 diesel duratorq zxi
It was a gem
It is a beast
Ford figo abd vw polo are 2 most underrated hatchbacks
0:37 my friend has same Ford Figo same to same
Then he bought Honda city so he gave it to my other friend who had Tata sumo....so after selling Tata sumo he bought the Figo
And they love it! But my friend says it’s so light weight
Santro and endeavour historryy? I want
Yaaaaaaaaa
Owned figo zxi diesel 2011 model, best car in it's segment.
Make a video on the most powerful daily driven cars ever launched in india
I have a 2016 ford Figo 1.2 Petrol. In terms of service I won't say it's value for me as every annual service has costed me upwards of 8K but it's value for me. The petrol engine should be more powerful as VW gives in the Polo but overall fun to drive. The built quality is not tat good as compared to the 1st gen model which was like a tank but one can live with it. Humble request to Ford to come with a turbo-petrol in Figo competing the Polo as this will really shake things to the next level in turbo-petrol fun to drive segment and will give a run for its money to VW. Many thanks
Please make a video on history of etios
Proud owner of First and Second Gen Figo's. Tdci❤️
We need this kind of video on Fiat Linea or Punto to please
I had first gen ford figo 1.4 TDCI motor... rocket hatch at that time too
More space and facelift is needed
Please also explain why the DCT gear box did not do well for the figo..and it was discontinued..
Create more videos of this type
i own the ford figo diesel tdci titanium 2021 model, it's a no nonsense performance car, no visual frills but technically thrills. just that my car has run 850Km, my mileage is 14Km in the city, guess it should improve after few thousand kilometers. after lock-down the car will hit the highway.
Also Wish the 1 st Gen Figo was offered here with the Fiestas 1.6 petrol engine with the S moniker...
Proud to be freestyle owner......highly underrated car.
Please make a video on Opel and Chevrolet
Love ford and a proud owner of ecosport
Please upload Ford Ecosport history.
Loving the Ford Figo since 2012.
Proud new gen figo diesel owner for 5 years.. 100% satisfied.
There was getz and sail uva as well
Ford freestyle diesel is beauty ...and I loved it .....it is amazing no one can beat it......
I own a figo petrol 2017 model, one of the best in class car for sure.
After seeing this video I am confused now, even though mine is 2017 model it don't have a adjustable head rest in back seat
I bought a very rare figo 1.5l AT in 2020. It was difficult as dealers were not ready to sell that car but I was hell bent upon getting that car and finally got after 2months waiting. It is a rare and superb gem of a engine and value for money than polo gt, which is better but expensive. Ford has good cars but bad management.
Fail to understand why the second generation was not as successful as the first one..very underrated cars...hopefully I can get my hands on a diesel one in the future...
I bought a pre-owned 2012 Figo at rs 1lakh ..even though it has completed nearly 92k km the performance is far better than the new honda amaze ...
Endeavour and Safari history plz
I really miss the old figo model before 2015. New model totally changed the looks of the car which I didn't liked. I hoped that they should not have changed the original design.
BTW I am driving it from 2015, 75k done. Loved my car.
Proud owner of Ford Figo 1.5 Diesel TDCI. My mini diesel rocket 🚀😍
Twenty different awards👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The only reason for low sales is that it really needs a vast changes in its looks and features as competition in this segment is more.
In this hatchback category The Tata Vista is totally forgotten.
It was the direct rival for Swift, I20, punto!
Very good experience with freestyle…
Sir, audio is very poor.🥺
Ford really needs to update all three siblings - the Figo, the Freestyle and the Aspire. The on road price of these cars are just about ₹10,00,000 and for that, you don't even get a navigation system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Projector headlights. When you're spending that much money on a car, those features should be there, they are not premium features anymore on a car. It makes me feel sad for the rest of it, all three of those are amazing cars and deserve more credit.
Have an Aug 2011 model Figo Zxi Diesel, done 92500 km till now... Looking for an upgrade, thinking of settling with the Ford brand.. Freestyle is what we are interested in... Any decisions or plans from Ford to scrap the Freestyle from Indian market by 2022 ? I heard something like that, from an automotive vlogger, thought of checking with you after seeing this video... Your comments please ?
I always love the figo 2nd gen. Desi aston Martin❤
Want to go for Ford Figo petrol as my daily running is less, but skeptical with drastic low sales. Please someone guide me, I own one 2015 swift petrol and it has fared well these years with no major issues.
When was the Aspire CNG discontinued??
Proud owner of 2013 diesel figo, it is a good fortune for me
Proud owner of the celebratroy edition of Ford Figo. 1.2 lac KM on the Odo and still going Strong 💥💥👍👍
Ford undoubtedly makes some really good cars but it tends to lose the market place as Ford hardly understands the aspirations of its customers in terms of features. You cannot expect loyalty of customers just by giving good driving dynamics... after owning 2 Ford cars and being in love with them this time I chucked Ford only because of these reasons. Hope Ford understands this and doesn’t let it’s loyal customers drift away
Happy to own Ford Figo Blu 2020 edition 🙏
Figo's maintenance & drivability r far better than any other cars in the segment 👍
The information shared is wrong in some case. The EXI did not have ABS but it did have remote locking.
Poor audio quality
