My great aunt made a Sicilian pita or pocket type of bread. It was so so good. She’s been gone for several years now and I have missed her so much (nobody made garlic tomatoes like she did!)
I don’t like pizza but my family does.
Going to have to try this one, for them (yes, I will try it) scoaccia will be on the menu next week!
Thanks for the recipe! My wife thinks when her dad was discharged from WWII, he stole a baby girl and brought her home from Italy. Of course, he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. She loves Italian food, especially Scaccia and Raviolis.

That looks good. I have never heard of scaccia. I was in Northern Italy when I was living there, never made it farther south than Rome.
🗝🤗 It's more a Sicilian food, but different recipes with other additions to it are found in other regions in Italy as well.
