Hello. After taking the 1st photo did advance the film? You need to advance it before taking a photo. For reference go here 2:58
Hi! Do you use the M38 with flash when taking photos in daylight? Is there a difference between using flash in natural lighting and artificial lighting?
Hello. I didn't used the flash outdoors (on my 1st video). As long as the scene is well lit I don't use it. I'm not a fan of flash photohraphy. But for portaits or subjects that are backlit you might want to use flash.

What is the Difference of Kodak m35 between kodak m38? And How to Know the Kodak M35/M38 is deffective? Thank You
M38 has better flash and film winding mechanism as per the manual. I think you need to try and shoot with it first to know if it is defective.

Thanks! It is said that the flash of the M38 is stronger than the m35 and slightly easier to load film roll. I can't really confirm since I haven't tried the M35. So far, I am happy with the photos from my M38. Around 350-400 developing and scanning.

Did you press it? Try rewinding the film first.
hi, i just bought my first film cam which is the kodak m35, but the film counter is confusing because after the first shot which is "1", the next thing that appeared is "・3" is it ok if i shot even though it's a dot? or should i advance it to 3? By the way, your video is informative!
Hello. You count the dot as the next number. "1•2••5" means 1,2,3,4,5. Not sure if I have explained it clear but the dots = 1 frame. Thanks for watching my video btw. Cheers and keep shooting film. 🎞❤
hello! my film counter went back to zero and I'm afraid that I might have accidentally hit the rewind button. Do you know what I should do now? Thank you!
If you are not yet done with your roll. Try advancing the film and check if the counter will move. If it moves, you can continue shooting with it but the counter would be inaccurate(manual counting na lang). If the counter will not move while adcancing the film, you would need to open the camera back and close it again but do that in a very darkroom/place to avoid exposing the film.
I ordered the M35 one after watching your previous video! I’m curious tho what’s the difference of these two (m35 and m38) besides the price?
Hello. Per seller, the flash from the m38 is better, and has improved film advance tool. I haven't tried the M35 tho. Comparing it to the Harman reusable wich looks like the m35 and M38, it is much easier to advance film on the m38.

Hi. Sorry but I am not knowledgeable bout camera electronics and can't advise any fix about that. Maybe just always use fresh batteries and wait 1-2 sec for the flash to charge before using it.
what if i can’t develop the film right after it’s done being used and have to let it sit aside until i can go develop...will it affect the film or anything ? or do i have to develop it as soon as i can

Hello. 1. Yes. (Don't force it). 2. Some counters are defective. Rule number 1 is also applicable here as the film will stop on the next available frame.

Hello. It is ok to leave it but it is safer to remove it to avoid battery discharge.

Hello. Did the button went entirely in? To be sure try to advance the film until it clicks. If it clicks, camera and film is still good to go. But if upon advancing you don't feel any pressure and the advamce gear just keeps on spinning...you need to open then close the camera back very quick. Do it in a very dark room. Inside a cabinet or under a thick blanket is ideal. This would reset the button and the exp counter back to "S". Just take note of the last count and do the counting manually after resetting

If you will not use it for a long time, you should remove the battery. It is safe to remove the battery even if it has film loaded in it.
Hi I just bought mine. I tried taking picture but I noticed that it goes back to S even I already at '3' before. Is that normal?
Hello, it shouldn't go back to "S" unless you opened the camera back. Does it move from "s" to 1? Maybe you got a defective counter....
Hello what happens if half way the camera runs out of battery? Will I still be able to take photos without battery?
You can still use the m38 even without batteries. However, please keep in mind there would be no flash. So use it outdoors when it is very bright.
can i use the flash even if it's sunny outside? wouldn't it be overexposed?
It depends. If you subject is against the light or if subject is atleast 3 meters away.
Hello! I’d like to ask lang, i bought an m38 and then had a 24 exp. film in the camera. when the counter reaches 24 is that the end, and can I unload my camera or do I have to make sure the camera counter shows E? :)
Hello. Depending on how you loaded the film sometimes you get an extra exposure or 2. Upon reaching "24" you can try to advance it again to check if you really reached the end of your roll. I can't remember if the m38 has "E" in the end. Usually, it stops counting at 36.

Nalilito na po kasi ako kung pang-ilang frame na ba ako because inconsistent po yung numbering; may iilang baktaw po bago talaga yung actual number, kaya tuloy hindi ko na po ma-track talaga kung ilang frame na ba talaga yung nagamit ko. Hello Kate. 1st, thank you for subscribing 😁. Re counter hindi ko lang sure if puro odd numbers lang. It goes like - S•1•3••6 you can count the dots. Substitute lng sya ng numbers. As far as I can remember hindi mo makikita yung counter ng puro dots lang. Either makikita mo yung number before or number after.
Hi i’m loading my second film now but my exposure counter started at 27 instead of E so i loaded it in and kept advancing and pressing the shutter until it’s at E but now it’s stuck at E

Hello hello! Yes, you can start to shoot na po. Then forward mo again until hindi mo na ma advance yung film. When the film advance geat stops, ready na ulit mag shoot. Ulit ulit lang na process. Hindi mo rin mapipindot yung shutter pag hindi na advance yung film.

Hello. So...I haven't tried the M35 yet. Upon reading the seller description, the M38 has stronger flash and better winding mechanism. I think image quality would be just the same.
what can i do if my film counter resets back to zero when i have already used up about 12 shots before this happened? thank you
Hi. I'm no expert, but don't think you can put the counter back to 12 manually. Hopefully, you did not (accidentally) opened the camera back. Anyways, just continue shooting with it until you finish your roll. When you are at the end of your roll you won't be able to advnace the film and set the shutter botton or just count the remaining exposures manually. If you haved exposed 12 frames already, you have 24 shots remaining (more or less).

Yes. You need to manually advance it after taking a photo until you hear it click or until you can't turn the thumb advancing wheel anymore. It is a must either flash is on or off.
Hi quick question, I actually dropped my cam and the back of the cam opened, when I checked the top it says 's' will that mean I lost all my pictures? Really worried. ( I've taken a few shots before and I was previously at 27 shots prior to the fall)

Try finishing the film before rewinding and send it for developing. Hoping you did not open the camera back yet

Yes, you need to advance the thumb wheel before shooting. The thumb wheel advances the film to the next frame and cocks the shutter. You won't be able to press the shutter button if you did not advance thumb wheel.
The count will start after "s". Count goes like this "S1•3•5". Please expect that the numbers will not be perfectly centered.

Hello. For scanning, you will pay around 100-130. In wonder photo it is 100 for low res and 200 for high res scans.
How does this compare to a disposable camera?
Only difference (that I know) is that you can reuse/reload film in these cameras. But image quality would likely be the same because of the single plastic lens element. Disosables might be more easier to use.

Photos fine as long as you did not open the camera back. As long as you can still advance the film, you can still continue shooting with it.

What do you mean brackets? Is your camera loaded with film?
@@Stay_Super i mean the film guide (the one you mentioned on 2:29). No, i have not yet load my film, because the advancer and the film guide don’t move at the same time, so when i put the film in, it gets stuck....... do you have any advice in this? Or is my camera done forever😖?
The film guide won't move with out film. The sprocket holes in the film would be responsible for the movement of the film guide. Try to feed the film to the take up reel and make sure that the film is flat. You can try to advnace the film before closing the camera just to check.

Yes, you can use the camera even without a battery. The battery is only for the flash.
Hi, what should I do after taking the first photo?
You advance the film. This would move the film to the next frame and will set the the shutter. Then, you can now shoot your 2nd frame.

Hello. Processing means developing the film. Para you can see the photos you have taken. Scanning naman is scanning the developed film para maging soft copy/file sya. Different din ang colored film and b&w film.

Have you loaded the film properly? You should have tried advancing the film a couple of times before closing the camera back. If you did and counter still stays at S, it is possible that you have a faulty counter. Do manual counting instead or just shoot until you're out of film, just like what I do.

Hello po sana makita ito huhu i opened the back of my camera when i was 15 frames in to check if the film was on properly pero nareset po yung counter omg napansin ko din po kasi loose yung rewinder na nilalagyan ng film (not the advancer). Is this an indicator na the film is not on properly?
Hello. So... when you start shooting, you can't just open the back of the camera as it would ruin/expose your film. One way to check na naload mo yung film properly it to advance the film na nakaopen yung film back. This is in between ng pag load and bago mo close yung likod ng camera. So once you opened the camera back automatic na narereset yung counter. Then, I'm not sure if the loose rewinder knob is an indocator na mali ang pag load mo na film.
huhu hi i need help i'm at the 9th shot already but i accidentally open the m38 cam (i closed it right away) and the counter went back from the start.. what will i do to reach the 9th again..
Hello. There is nothing you can do to advance the counter alone. Just need to manually do the counting. (Current count +9)

The camera is manual rewind which means nasa 9th frame pa rin yung film. However, possible na expose yung frames 1-10.

Hello, upon loading you need talaga to advance and click until you reach "1". Yung ang magiging 1st exposure mo.

Hello Patricia, mejo subjective if mahal ba sya. For me mejo. Hahaha. Dev and scanning is around Php.350. Not included pa ang shipping to and from the lab. Siguro, justified yung shipping pag madami la papaprocess.

You don't need to open it if that is the case. To double check, try to advance the film then take a shot and advance it again. If the counter won't move or shutter won't trigger that means you need to do what I suggested earlier.

Hello.. try to turn on the flash and wait for the led light na umilaw. Minsan matagal yun. Pag umilaw it means charged up na yung flash. Dapat mag flash sya kahit walang film. Good luck.

Yo bro... might need more details. What film did you use and what is the lighting conditions like? Did you shoot indoors? Did you shoot with flash?
@@Stay_Super i used kodak ultramax 400 i also used flash in indoors because it’s too dark without using a flash. and in outdoors i don’t use flash but it turns out that 3 out of 36 shots were clear and the rest are not. thank you
Possible issue is the shutter mechanism. Try to wind the gear inside then click the shutter and check of it opens. If it opens... pobably shots are under exposed. This camera need lots of light. However, I used an ISO 200 in my harman and got okay shots with it even whitout using the flash.

@@joshuamagalang8986 yes. Open the camera back then you can see the gears where you feed the film. The gear in the upper right is the one you can advance until it clicks. You can't let go of the gear if you did not hear it click yet.
How do you turn off your kodak m38 po?
The battery is for the flash. Just turn it off. After a you took a shot, wag muna advance yung film in case accidentally ma-press yung shutter button. Then if you would keep it, it is better to remove the battery.

Hello po, nagpa-develop po ako yesterday ng film from my m38. However, some shots were "exposed" parang static lang ganon. I did something wrong ata. Any advice po sa pag-take ng shots para sure na yung 36 shots eh may captured photo po talaga. Thank you po!
Hello. Sad to hear your story. As in no images na lumabas? Use 400-800 iso film, use flash and shoot on day light para sure

hi! since yung counter is up to 36, if i inserted a roll with 24 exposures only, how will i know if pwede nang i rewind and unload yung roll? thank you!!
If ubos na yung film, hindi mo na ma-advance yung film advance gear. Pwede mo na sya rewind.

hello po,! i'm planning to buy kodak m38 sa 10.10, may i know po kung ano po 'yung maximum shots na kaya ng m38? like ano po 'yung pinakadulong bilang sa counter? and sa film roll po, does 36 exp means 36 shots po? natatakot po kasi ako na baka once na bumili ako and ginamit ko eh sumobra po 'yung pag advance ko ng film sa kaya lang i shot nung camera hehe, i am a beginner po so i don't know much. thank you in advance po! ^^
Hello. If 36 shots ang film mo then 36 shots din ang maximum. However, depende sa pagload ng film. Minsan, you can get 1-2 extra shots.
If nasa end ka na ng film hindi mo na sya ma-advance kaya don't worry na sumobra. If yung counter is at 36 na but you were able to advance the film pa pwede mo pa sya i-shot

Hi po, just bought a film camera and nung niload ko na po yung film and nakita ko na sa film counter yung "1", ayaw mo mag click nung shutter. Then minomove ko po yung film, ayaw na. Then triny ko po i rewind yung film pero matigas po and ayaw. Triny ko po i open yung back ng camera and hindi pala sya na rewind. Hindi pa po ako naka take ng shots, pero is my film ruined na po kung ganun? Thankyou po
And habang minomove ko po yung film, hindi ko po nababa yung film rewinder
Okay pa yung film. Try to load it again. After loading, advance it until it stops advancing. Then, try pressing the shutter button. If it works, pwede mo na sara yung camera back then advance it again to reset the shutter button.
@@Stay_Super pero hindi naman po kaya na expose yung film pagkabukas ko po ng back camera kahit wala pa pong na take na shots?
@@factsonly2656 if like you said hindi sya na advance and hindi nagclick yung shutter, it means hindi gumalaw yung laman na film hence hindi sya na expose and nasa loob lang sya ng canister.

Hello. So hindi mo sya ma-off. Just make sure after taking a photo, don't advance the film. (Just advance it before taking your next) Para when you keep it, kahit ma-press yung shutter button hindi ma-expose yung film. Just keep it in a cool and dry place.

Hi po. Accidentally nabagsak ko po yung cam ko tapos nag open yung film back release lever. Pero di naman po totally nag open yung likod. Maeexpose po ba yung film roll ko?😞 thank you po.
Hello. If bumukas yung camera back. Most likely na expose yung film pa ganun. 3-6 frames yan. Hopefully lesser since you said it did not totally open.
@@Stay_Super oh no. Pero normal naman po na babalik sa ‘S’ yung exposure counter? And is it okay to just rewind and unload the film nalang po at gumamit ng bagong roll? Thank you so much po.
If you press the rewind release button it will reset the frame counter. Most likely, counter resets when it fell. You can rewind it na lang din if you don't want to continue kaso sayang naman kung marami pang frames na di pa exposed.
Hi po kuya, nakapag advance na din po ako ng film, and yung pinaka dulo nya po is "S". Tapos ayaw po mag take ng photos?
Pag nag advance ka narinig mo sya nagclick? If nag click or ayaw na ma advance pwede mo na press yung shutter button.
