I tried to pick up my sax once after not touching it for over 30 years. The first attempt wasn’t pretty. I played this solo in high school 1985-1986 and have wanted to try it again. So I learned this intro from your video, went away and practiced and practiced till I not only knew it off my heart, but could play it reasonably well at full speed.
Then I went to find the sheet music so I could also play the melody of the verses which was the point I realised, you've got an alto. I've got a tenor. I've learned it in the wrong bloody key! 🤦🏾‍♂️😂

Hi Adam. When you are beginning it’s hard to work out how much pressure you should use on the Reed. It will come with just playing lot’s, if you are still struggling I teach via Zoom and I can give you loads of help that will save you hours of practice time. It could be the way you blow on the mouth piece the way you shape ur moouth and how hard you blow. Well that's what I think not sure if its of any help.
