thank you for this video with your reaction and comments to these ABBA song
I think is the first time that I see you
    "Super trouper" (1980)
was the nine and last single #1 to ABBA in UK ; and it was the #1 (with the album too) the day than the iconic John Lennon was murder
It's the opening track in Their seventh album "Super Trouper" , that was #1 too in UK and several countries of all continents
This album included the most heartbroken song "The winner takes it all" , it shows how versatily ABBA is, two songs different in style and lyrics and lead singer, and worldwide hit too
in "Súper Trouper" you can hear clear the brunette Frida amazing sweet as a lead singer, the blonde Agnetha fantastic in second voice (as could see specialy in the second verse of the official video), and a beautiful melody with power and catchy chorus (with 'a capela' parts)
"Super Trouper" is in my Top10 of ABBA songs and my Top5 of Frida as lead voice in ABBA songs
Another great song with Frida in lead voice wich have an official video and was a worldwide hit is
    "Money money money" (1976)
Or if you like Agnetha in lead voice my suggestion is "S.O.S." (1975) or the cited before "The winner takes it all" (1980)
last Top10 to ABBA in U.S.A.
I hope to See you in another video with more ABBA songs
My best regards to You from
    Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷
    South America

Love ❤ Frida... and Love ❤ ABBA
    I like this so much...
As for the name 'Super Trouper'... it is called that most powerful light, which chases the artist around the stage...
    Please more ABBA 🙏😃
    Take care, guys... See ya
    Greetings ❤ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍

We're going to try. Tim apparently missed a lot of songs. So we should have a decent list to check off.

Album was a huge no1 success here in Europe 1980 being best selling LP in the year end album chart and went on the Guiness book of that year for the managing the most presaled copies ever in the UK up to then (1 million presales). Single was no1 hit too.

Since you are doing ABBA. I highly recommend songs from "ABBA The Visitors" (1981). Songs like "The Visitors" or "Soldiers" (no music videos), or songs from the Extended Version of the album like "Under Attack" or "The Day Before You Came" (the last two music videos ABBA recorded before disbanding). 👍

First of all those sweaters were trendy in the 80’s , second of all it’s imposible to appreciate the sound and arrangement effects in a car without earphones. Super Trouper it the name of those big beam light that spots the main act .

ABBA was famous for win the classic Eurovisión Song Contest 1974 in UK with their iconic banger smash single "Waterloo"
(first Top10 to ABBA in U.S.A.)
Next year will be the 50th anniversary of most important song in all Eurovisión history

Abba has sold over 400 million albums and has a musical that has taken over 5 billion worldwide. The day before you came, is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece by them.

Such a big difference between Europe and North America..............."Super Trouper" was Nº 1 in many European territories..........while in America it did not even crack the Top 40 (peaking at Nº 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart). Belgium leads all countries, with ABBA achieving 16 Nº 1 singles, Ireland is second with 13 No 1 hits. "Dancing Queen" is ABBA's one and only chart-topper in the U.S.

hi Rui!Well at least The ST album was also a top 20 hit in the USA billboard chart and also gave a top 10 hit single with 'The Winner Takes it all" there. In Canada they always faired far better. And in Latin America even more. And rest of the world super cause Abba were household darlings.

US charts are always crazy. You'd be amazed at what is a household name in another country and is non-existent here. Aqua and Take That, immediately come to mind.

@@PaulAndTimDoAThing Btw i mostly relate to the UK scene as a source of multicoloured music culture and quite inventive and inspirational field which was also considered as the metropolis of pop and music pluralism. As for ABBA , they are actually more than a household name, they are/were often described by a part of the music press as a 'phenomenon'.Over 400 million records sold for 4 'non traditionally -Anglosaxon' foreigners is more than a labour.

OK, major Bee Gees fan here. I could suggest 1000 of their songs (literally!), but it sounds like you are interested in just the 'disco era.' How am I supposed to know which songs you know and which videos you've seen?
You probably know "Nights on Broadway," especially since the SNL skit uses that as the theme song for 'The Barry Gibb Talk Show.' But maybe you haven't seen the Bee Gees' live performance on 'The Midnight Special':

For a funky song of theirs you may not know, try "Wind of Change" live:

Yes, there is footage of a Bee Gees brawl! Here is a time link to such an event while they hosted 'The Midnight Special' (not for a reaction, just for your enjoyment):

Basically what I do is get a bunch of songs and play like 5-10 seconds of the "familiar" parts to Tim to see if he has any idea what I'm talking about lol. That's usually the only way to tell. I'll run some of these by him. But it doesn't HAVE to be from the disco era. It's just likely what we're more familiar with.
