that's the thing, we forget about a lot of this and need to check our selves and drawers all the time for forgotten treasures. That is how I find most of this. LOL hugs

Charlotte, I have to ask this; forgive me: why use playing cards since they have to be sanded? Why not just use a piece of watercolor paper or cardstock that is cut to the size you want??~~~hummm now I'm changing my mind about this. Looking at how the tim holtz paper is transparent in spots, I can see parts of the playing card, which is neat!!~~soooo, forget I questioned this!!!:-))))
No, you have a valid question, the playing cards are just another piece of ephemera you can use, something a bit different, also think about how many cards you get in a pack and especially from the dollar store. You can't beat that, already to go, you don't have to measure or cut. But, you do have to sand the finish off. That too is part of the process. If you sew, you can skip the sanding but you are taking a chance. vintage cards work too with out the sanding. the paper I used is decoupage paper and you can see through it. You could also use napkins for this. I hope you will try this, I think you would like it. Have a nice weekend and hugs
