    Ohhhhh, I should spot further down the box. I've been spotting right to the side of where I'm starting and I always stop right there. Thanks for this tutorial. I've been stuck on this for a couple of months!!!!

    This is so helpful thank you! I never thought to keep jumping forward as well as onto the box. Can’t wait to try it out now

    This is great advice as usual. However, my fear continues to get in the way… I’ll get there. :)

    Shorty!! I literally thought about trying this for the first time last week, decided to check if you had a tutorial on it before I hit the park today, and saw that you posted one 3 days ago-- how are you reading my mind?!

    Hey Shorty, could you do a tutorial on how to 180 onto a box? I can jump up and 180 off but I can’t get the hang of 180 on.

      I assume you are skating straight at the jump as you jump? I don't have a tutorial on that trick exactly but I do have one for jumping 180 over obstacles that might help you. czcams.com/video/IEcB53ERfp4/video.html

      @@ShortysSkateSeries yes I’m skating straight to it. I just watched that video actually, I will rewatch it and try it out. Thank you!

    Thanks for the great tutorial :) Is your weight even on both feet when you slide?

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I tried to keep my balance pretty centered, but my back foot can sometimes have more weight.

    great tutorial! i have one question, is it mandatory to have sliders to slide?

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  Před 2 lety

      Blocks are designed for sliding so if you try to slide without blocks you can damage you plate.

    And for inline the instructions are... identical :D

    Hey Shorty, I'm having an issue where my front wheels making contact with the ledge stop all my sideways momentum... I have the Bont Flow wheels in 89A. I slide great when my front wheels don't contact the ledge. Do you reckon I need to change my stance to keep my front wheels up, or wax the hell out of the tip of the ledge? Or something else?

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  Před rokem +1

      So you can do 1 of 3 things and I guess it depends on the surface your skating as well.
      Like you said you can
      1. Wax the ledge (and I would do it where your wheels are touching on the deck and not the corner because if you blocks are sliding well it’s not needed there)
      2. Angle your feet so that your wheels don’t touch but it is harder to balance for longer so I tend to use more speed to try and stay on longer
      3. Harder wheels will also help. Something like 99a-101a

    Shorty I want to try this but I have trouble jumping while going up the incline. It’s like I end up trying to jump on my front wheels instead of how I squally do when I’m on flat ground.

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  Před rokem

      I do that too.. I really have to focus on jumping flat foot and lifting the knees. You also need a bit of speed/ momentum to get you up the incline before you can jump. And don't jump too early. Feel free to DM me some footage on my IG @shortstop.6

    How are the Prodigy Plates going vs the Tracer Plate?? I'm trying to decide which to get!

    • @ShortysSkateSeries
      @ShortysSkateSeries  Před 2 lety

      They are going well, but for long term durability (if you want the same plate for many years) and not too much extra weight the Tracer plate might be a better option. That's if weight isn't an issue.

    Hey what sliders do you use for your skates?
