Man you can’t catch a break .. the hilarious part is you are a great driver lmao
I race at our club on black Carpet with a box stock TT02 and box stock TT01E (bearings are allowed) and yes, we use the pogo sticks (stock shocks).
I really like the TT01E better than the TT02. What I like about my TT01E is the steering is tighter than the TT02. My lap times got better with the 01E instantly. The better steering of the 01E sold me.
Disclaimer…..I’m in second within our 8-race series and the other two drivers in the top 3 drive TT02s. The series has about 15 drivers. so, I think it's the driver's preference.
Love your vids. What body is that at 4:46 ?
What wheels and tyres would you recommend for carpet racing?
If your running at a club do you need to run the same as everyone else?
Some clubs might run a control tyre
We run 28 on low grip tracks but mostly run 30.
Cheap option for these cars is a30’s but rush tyres seem to work well
I bought a tt02 yesterday for racing. box stock class with some very minor hopups.
Good luck with that re you going to do a similar paint job to our Broxtowe iconic TT01e ???
@@PopalongRC I got the escort kit and a tin of red paint. thinking 90s bastos livery. .
It would be nice if when you put up the time sheets, you either highlighted or put an arrow to the car/position you are talking about. you flash up a huge data sheet and I'm struggling to find out which car you're talking about.... just some feedback from a new person to your channel as I don't know your names yet..... :(
This is something we have discussed on many occasions and have experimented with in later videos
Time I bought me and the son a TT01 each. What upgrades would you suggest after the shocks and ball race? We will be running indoors on a tight track with contact foam tyres.
Hi do you all run them in stock form as in motor and esc. Just getting back into rc and got myself a tt02 .
@@PopalongRC thank you. I have stock esc is the core 21 motor Any quicker than the tamiya sport tunes motor?
Feed back from drivers is that the torque tuned that comes in the box is a little slower than the core 21
The core 21 is also cheaper and has a fan inside which keeps it cooler therefore the miter also lasts longer.
Personally not run it directly against sport tuned but I believe the life span of the sport tuned over at Stevenage track was really short when compare to core 21 and even torque tuned
Looks like mark took you out in that final 😆
Slowing the footage down tells a different story but at a glance it does seem that way👍
In R/C, it's 95% Driver and 5% Car.
A good driver can put down consistent fast laps with any car. I'm going to be dabbling in on-road here soon after a long hiatus from the nitro off-road. More than likely Ill be driving the TT-02 with the upgrades for a budget platform untill I figure out if I'm going to like on road and stick with it for a bit. Off-road will always be my thing, however I have been getting drawn more and more to the on-road scene.
Sounds good
Hope to see you trackside soon
@@PopalongRC Im not sure what area you are in, I'm in the Metro Detroit area. I will be bringing back my channel, so you will be seeing me there soon.
Good luck
