First stop in Paroikia.
Today I will take you on a trip to one of the
one of the most popular destinations in the center of the Cyclades!!!!
Today I'm in Parοikia, Paros, Greece.
which is the capital of the island,
and the main port.
In the port the white windmill
is the trademark of the island.
It is worth walking around and getting lost
through the picturesque alleys.
See the castle of Paroikia or Frangokastello
which was built in 1260.
The foundations of ancient temples are preserved as well as
and part of the impressive tower.
Head towards the Holy Temple
of Agios Konstantinos with its magnificent view.
Continue your wanderings by passing through narrow winding alleys,
where the roof is built using the technique of reeds, sand and seaweed.
Discover the three fountains that were constructed
made of Parian marble donated by Nikolaos Mavrogenis.
In Paroikia is one of the most important religious monuments of the country,
the church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani.
It is one of the oldest
and best preserved Christian churches!
