Muck spreading 2022!
We are spreading muck before planting our spring barley. We are spreading the muck as it is an organic source of fertiliser meaning that we don’t have to apply as much artificial fertilisers. This is better for the soil and the planet.

Good evening. That muck was well rotten down. Now that slug pellets are illegal, what are the options for controlling slugs.

By direct drilling and min-tilling we have very little slugs now. But there are some legal slug pellets. Ferric phosphate slug pellets are legal as they are not toxic and breakdown, we have used them recently.

@@anorfolkfarmer9732 I got the wrong idea about the pellets. It was a article about gardening on my news channel. Makes sense that farmers can still use them. Thank you.
