Those of us with shellfish allergies probably shouldnât use snail mucin. I wonât consider trying it ever since I learned about that correlation.
Iâm very allergic to all forms of salicylates, including the plant substances from which theyâre made like willow bark. People with aspirin intolerance probably shouldnât use BHAs, some chemical (aka organic) sunscreens, or some mineral (physical) sunscreens many of which contain salicylates.
Iâve been looking for a spray to refresh my skin when it starts getting dry. The Laneige product in a spray bottle and the Dr. Ceuracle bottle that I think is what you held up gave me the idea to put the Kombucha essence in a spray bottle to try as my refresher. Thanks!
Great points!! Yeah we tend to see cross-reactivity with some allergens. Pinning this!
Im have shellfish allergies and use the cosrx snail mucin products just fine. Didnt know there was a correlation. Oops
Woohoo Toners!!! I love your perspective on skincare so super excited for this! I GREATLY APPRECIATE your honest info! Yes, Anua's 77 Toner is Wonderful!â€
It really is đđ

Love love love anua! Congrats on the sponsorship!! just cracked open my bottle of the heartleaf soothing toner and i am loving it!! I also rather enjoy the dokdo toner as a simple hydrating product, as i rarely use potent chemical exfoliant products nowadays. Laniege reformulated the cream skin to add a "cera-peptide" ingredient and apparently the texture has become lighter/changed in some way according to an influencer I watch. I'm not sure when / if itll be released on the kbeauty sites.
Thank you! I was sooo excited to see their email in my inbox đ„Čđ
Sounds interesting. I figure Iâll probably get around to trying it (though I might grab the travel size to start haha)
I LOVE the Anua toner. Bought it on a whim a year ago and I already miss it.
(Also, your makeup looks so lovely!)
Thank you! âșïž
Yay!! Toners are my favorite part of my routine. đ
Definitely need a video on the top essences and serums! I feel like the basics (i.e. face wash, toner, moisturizer) people tend to find ones they love and stick with (even if they occasionally try something new đ€) but I for one am always trying new things in the âoptionalâ steps and am interested in hearing more about the more popular ones.â€
Love this makeup look! Especially the lip colour
Thank you! That is probably my favorite lipstick at the moment, got it from the Sephora rewards bazaar! đ
I would love a video explaining sleep mask and what are the most hydrating options available if you feel like that would be of your interest. Love your channel and the way you explain things â€
Hi Alice, wow your video was fantastic â€â€ xx
Thank you so much! đ„°
What a great idea to use cream toners or essences as refreshers! I struggle to fit them in, but now I wonât. Thank you!
Hi Alice, I agree with the Laneige cream skin toner just my last step before applying to moisturizer. It replenish the occlusion moisture which dry skin needs. đ
Love a sponsored queen â€ïž

oh my god! finally someone speak the truth of all 50 fermented ingredients about No. 3 toner! I had high hope but reacted so badly for this toner - all red bumps/patches and itchy! Couldn't figure it out initially until I had to travel for a week without this toner, my skin is back to normal
Thank you so much for your honesty in your product reviews unlike other korean influencers who are just out there to promote products to make profit. I really like that you mentioned about the allergy with snail mucin which was exactly what happened to me and cause me to break out all over my face despite all the hype around this product. I would love to try anua toner after watching this review and keep the good videos coming!
Great Video! I too am sensitive to the ingredients in Numbuzin 3 but LOVED LOVED LOVED the glow. What toner would be comparable to this one that may work better for sensitive skin types?
I absolutely love the Numbuzin n3. It's a shame you got an allergic reaction. It really delivers.
You did a great job of pronouncing Hwahae (ííŽ = Hwah Hey)! Iâm biracial Korean and Caucasian đ
I love your reviews (style, tone, format, etc.) So happy to have found a fellow Floridian. Much love from Seoul, Korea, Alice! â€
Thank you for bringing up the allergy issue with the snail mucin! I am allergic to arganine kinase (found in shellfish and this product). I wanted to try it to badly but after researching the ingredients i knew it wasnât worth the risk.
Really nice and informative video⊠thank you

What a great explanation on hydrating vs moisturizing. I will have to write that down. So important but I have never heard it explained that way. Smart girl!
Thanks for the heads up on the toner being included on Amazon Prime Day. Is it an all day sale or a lighting deal??
Oh gosh, now I realize Iâm not sure! They gave me those dates though so Iâm thinkingâŠboth days?

Love Korean toners and you showed as a few good ones thank you Alice đ I like the 7% cosrx aha toner every now and again at the moment my skin is so dry from the cold nights outside at work tonight I went in with the 101 centella soothing cream and dr jart ceramides cream skin still feeling parched and dry I think il have to go more for some good Korean hydrating products mary and may is catching my eye đ đ
Mary & Mayâs idebenone cream is such a nice option. Iâd say kind of more for day (but thatâs giving away how dry my skin is đ€Łđ - itâs probably a night cream for oily/combo!!)
The Numbuzin Toner worked for me. I love using it. Sorry that your skin had a reaction to it.
Thanks for sharing! Yeah it seems it works really well for those who can use it (Iâm a little jealous haha! đ)
Numbuzin no 3 toner - I struggled so bad trying to finish this toner. The scent was very strong... I did not have any allergic reaction. But I can see why you might get it with this Product. Huge ingredient list + fragrance - perfect combo for allergy.
Love the anua toner
It really works for acne!
Iâve used it for 3-4 bottles!

Love the number 3 toner ( I have dry sensitive skin ) zero problems
love the lotr reference.
I think laneige is switching to a new formula. They also made the toner version refillable which is nice. I've not really noticed a difference on using the reformulation. I have dryer skin, I just use it as the toner step. Sometimes i'll use the mist version i still have as a moisturizer refresher.
Thatâs great to hear. My worry with reformulations is whether they will be an upgrade orâŠthe dreaded downgrade. This sounds promising!
So technically I understand hydrating vs. moisturizing, but I categorize "moisturizing" products into two categories (which I think of as moisturizing vs. occlusive). Products I consider "moisturizing" are ones that sink into the skin and make it feel replenished while products I consider "occlusive" act as a barrier almost on top of the skin. Originally I thought of this as the impact of a product being more lightweight, but Laneige Cream Skin was the first product to make me understand that this wasn't the case in terms of my personal perception. Cream Skin is clearly not a heavy moisturizer, but as soon as I put it on it acts as a barrier and nothing will get through. My skin doesn't feel replenished in a meaningful way, it just feels like it "locks" things in, almost like a really bad chapstick. I ended up using it as a body product since I didn't like its effect anywhere in my routine as even using it before a moisturizer felt like I was messing with the moisturizer's ability to absorb in a comfortable manner. Conversely when I use the Kombucha essence, I get the effect I wanted from a last step essence without feeling like I was blocking serums from working effectively.
The interesting thing was that understanding this difference helped me a lot in finding products I liked to use on my skin and how I felt comfortable layering products. I do wonder what the feeling is caused by, possibly molecule size of the "moisturizing" ingredient?
Yep I very much understand, and thatâs exactly why it took me so long to get the hang of it. It looks lightly moisturizing, but feels bizarrely occlusive on!
Wowza! Just love reading this comment. I hope Alice covers these two different types of categories when she does more videos like this. In addition, I also would like to hear Alice add more toners to the list ... like where would she place it in relation to this app favorite's list. I hope this makes sense. Needless to say, I prefer Alice's opinion over the app she is referring to đ
Iâve been dying to try the ANUA heartleaf toner đą but I just have so many Iâve just bought on a whim I have to finish first đ
I can relate! đ
I ordered a bunch of spray tops and added them to my favorite watery toners, including the ANUA one and I love it EVEN MORE... IF that's possible!! I love ANUA more and more the more I try from them!!
Oh wow thats such a smart solution! No need to buy the whole bottle đ€Żđ€Ż
Did you find them on Amazon?
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yes! I can send you the link đ I'm also anal and funny like not SEEING the product in the original bottle. It didn't work for ALL obviously, but the ones I got did fit a majority of my toner bottles.

Als i like this style of video - i think it compliments your usual in depth reveiws of whole lines to focus on one type of product :D
Yes!! Alice - would love to see you try their 4-terpineol serum!
Yes, I would definitely consider that! I started buying By Wishtrend for August, but RNW could be perfect for September? (Typing this out has me wondering where this year is going, oh my đł)
Yay for Wishtrend!
Oh my gosh I have been eying this toner for a while now but went with skin1004 probio cica toner. I might switch my isntree green toner with the anua because I really like the probio toner. Really love your content!
The probio cica is nice too! đ
ââBetween the 3 mentioned, which do you prefer? I'd prefer Alice's favorite against this app's list.
@@mandywong1408 my hg is the isntree green toner. When I stop using it, I notice I get a lot more greasy than when I use it. Also, my skin type is combo so different from Alice. I was convinced about trying the probio cica toner from one of Alice's video and don't regret getting it.
Since you mentioned Heartleaf, have you ever tried the Dr. G - Clear Soothing Active Essence from their RED Blemish line? I found it interesting because it contains Heartleaft, Centella and Mugwort all in one product (besides Ectoin and Niacinamide). I'm on my second bottle now and am loving it.
I havenât, but I have noticed that brand is all over Hwahae! It was surprising to see as I feel I donât hear too much about them on CZcams. Will definitely have to check out that essence, thanks for the rec! đ
I love Cosrx Blackhead power liquid for how gentle it is, my skin appreciates low and slow. I also use their AHA 7 Whitehead power liquid.
I would love to know your thoughts on the Numbuzin no.9 serum as I have mature, dry, sensitive skin, and I trust your recommendations! Thank you for your hard work, knowledge of ingredients and willingness to share, it is greatly appreciated!! Many blessings!đđđ
I paused on buying the Numbuzin 9 as it includes some of those highly scented EOs (still might cautiously try it in the future though). However, you might like to know that Iâm currently editing a video on K-Beauty for mature skin - has some of my favorite picks for dryness! đ
My favorite toner is PC Skin Recovery Toner †It's milky, soothing and đŻ completely absorbs....no stickiness, no residue, no heaviness. I will never go without. I've tried quite a few toners and nothing compares to it.

Oooo yay I was hoping you'd review the round lab toner. Have you tried their tinted SPF or their other one? I heard it's similar to BOJ
Yep I have a whole review of round lab! I did love the sunscreen but âŠconfession that I think puritoâs soft touch has moved up my personal favorites ladder lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHole well now I'm going to search for the video, I missed it! I'll have to try the purito, I've really been liking scinic super mild sun essence. But as for tinted, it'll always be Paula's choice, I just wish it was higher than spf30
Well, that is wonderful to hear. My order with the Scinic arrived (and itâs so affordable!?) I canât wait to try it!!

@@mandywong1408 what did the reviews say? I like it so far. Everything breaks me out but this one seems to be agreeing with me
I donât typically have reactive skin but I tried the numbuzin no. 3 serum and noticed weird texture/ red bumps đ I really wanted to love it because of all the hype đbut it just didnât work for me!
I'm using the Numbuzin toner now, so far so good but I really hate the smell! Ive also noticed that it pills especially if I try to layer it, but for some reason I haven't seen many others mention this problem. I dont think I would repurchase it. I prefer more watery essences. Have you ever tried the Secret Key essence?
Yup I wasnât too mad in the end as I also hated the smell (it smelled exactly like my grandmotherâs house, soâŠodd). Still jealous of peoples results though, as mine were horrendous LOL!
I have! I enjoyed it and finished it but itâs a product I probably wouldnât repurchase. I prefer the Neogen micro ferment essence or the IOPE bio conditioning essence for mid-range fermented essences (and sk-II lived up to its hype for me, tragically. My poor bank account RIP đȘŠ)
Dont you think it smells like Rose Geranium essential oil? I kinda hate the smell too, too strong in the first one minute, dissipated quicly though.
â@@yukiaditya7352 Ya it's that typical rancid citrus scent in a lot of products. I think it stinks terribly but maybe some consumers still like it đ€·ââ
Hello, its my first time seen your video and I love it so much. Every content about the products is clearly and helpful for me to decide which one I need. I was confused between Anua Toner and Dokdo Toner but after this I have a better decision. Thank you again and you have a very beautiful skin â€. Love and respect
My skin getting acne very easily and even oily skin alsođą im about buying anua toner but scared of the thick texture and overhydrated, should I give anua a try?
I used to use the leniege toner for years but now I opt for the purito silky oat toner. The formulas are very similar but purito is way more affordable.
Have you tried other Purito products?
@@mandywong1408 Iâm currently testing the Purito B5 Rebarrier Cream at the moment, but those are the only two products Iâve tried so far.
@@Justine1215 I feel like that is a very nice light barrier cream for a combo person like me. I tried the Centella Unscented Recovery Cream and the Centella Green Level Eye Cream; both broke me out. However, I found that it did help post retinol days. In the winter, I plan to try the Dermide Balancing Barrier Balm & Deep Sea Pure Water Cream. I think Imma try to get that oat toner.
Purito has been winning me over more and more, sounds like I need to try that one!
Hi Alice, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Toners. Please provide us with the name of the app and were to download it. Thanks Alice; have a great weekend.
If you search âHwahaeâ youâll be able to find it in the App Store, but to find it on your phone, youâll have to look for Qlon. It is entirely in Korean, so I have to sit here with a translating app to read it (alas, itâs so interesting! There are brands that are apparently very popular in Korea that I havenât even heard of đ€Ż)
I can take Nambuzin in small doses. Nambuzin contains niacinamide which seems to be the go to ingredient these days. Unfortunately it was in everything I was putting on my face, including my tretinoin concoction. Too much of a good thing. I have to watch out for that, and maybe others do too.
The laneige cream skin "with ceramide and peptides" is the recently reformulated version, which can be found in Olive Young Global. I assume the prior version being sold at other Asian Beauty retailers is going to be taken down soon.
Thank you! Ooh ceramides and peptides, it does sound like an upgrade
Dry skin here. I've decided that I only want to use spray toners moving forward. Was happy to see the Laneige toner. It's really interesting. I might put that on my buy list, but are there other favorite spray/mist toners that you'd recommend?
Funny enough, some of my favorite mists are toners Iâve transferred into spray bottles (generally this works, but make sure the bottle is clean and if in doubt, ask the company. for example, you donât want to spray AHA containing toners at your face due to the risk of getting them into your eye area!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Thank you so much for the advice. My mind is blown. I just ordered a mist spray bottle from Amazon.
The numbuzin no.3 serum worked great for me but the toner was hard to use
Thoughts on toner pads? I recently ordered the Anua heartleaf toner pads but the ones from the brands needly and mediheal seem to be just as popular.
Iâm testing out Torridenâs this month too, these seem to be gaining popularity! I like the concept for an even quicker toning step, and most of them seem to include some gentle exfoliants (typically PHA it seems!)
Your face shape, skin texture and tone reminds me of Abbey Yung here on YT. You're both beautiful
Aw sheâs so pretty, thank you! âșïž
Ms Tanaka loves #3.
oh yeah when i used laneige i used it as a 'pre-moisturizer' so i would do my routine and just put it one before moisturizer sort of like how some use an oil under a moisturizer. Personaly it is the most hydrating product i have ever tried
Have you tried the round lab soybean toner? That feels as if itâs in the same âmoisturizing tonersâ category, but a bit more lightweight
@@AliceintheRabbitHole that might be a good candidate :D last i checked it wasn't available where i live (when you did the review) but i just checked and it is now available
I'm super curious about adding heartleaf into my routine! Have you tried the abib heartleaf calming toner skin booster? Wonder how it would compare to the anua.
I love the Abib heartleaf booster as it also calms my skin down during irritated state đ
Abibâs is nice also! I might prefer the Anua as I see more from panthenol for my skin than HA (anua=panthenol, Abib=HA), but both are good heartleaf options âșïž
Thank you Alice for the Anua toner as I am hardly using Panthenol as ingredient to calm down irritation. I might get it after I finish my Abib booster.. đ
I was disappointed I couldn't use the Numbuz:n #3 toner on my face. I was able to repurpose it and use it on my body. I love it for body, it definitely makes my skin glow.
Same. I've used on some days no problem, others it stings. I've had it about 3 weeks and decided to start using on arms and chest. Don't know if I'll notice anything or to be honest what to watch for. I too dislike the smell.
Thatâs the resolution I had as well!
Me too, I never break out but so disappointed, this tptally irritates my skin. I 'm not sure why and have never had a reaction like this.
I tried all of them accept the cosrx one because i already own a specific AHA toner. I am currently testing to find one or two everyday toners that I like. Anua is ok but nothing special to me, dokdo is really nice, hydrates but lightweight and sinks right in with leaving you hydrated but not sticky or anything. Will keep using it. Lastly also bought the numbuzin 3 toner and did not like it at all first try. Did not expect the fermented scent. I did not touch it for around 1,5 months and started testing it again today together with the numbuzin serum no 3 since I wanna see how they do used together. Smell is something I can get used to if it improves my skin, so far no allergic reaction. Laneige was a long time ago, defintitely more hydrating and not something I would use during the day (oily senstive skin) but otherwise good toner, essence. Will try to update here after a while.
Hi Alice, it's interesting that products that are popular in Korea are not so popular in the western community. I can't use numbuzin toner either because it gives me an allergic reaction. Did you know that olive young's audience is young people? And the products aimed at older people are others like Sulwhasoo or Su:m37, Donginbi and others that I don't know about. A kiss from Chile â€
Well this is giving me great confirmation for Mondays video haha, thanks so much for sharing! Adult acne is such an odd situation; I feel like I have favorites for more mature skinn, and I share some acne-fighting favorites with younger folks lol.
Have a great weekend! đ„°

How funny, I just did a reel with that over on my IG. It has SUCH a pretty finish, but it does transfer a lot!

Hi Alice, Iâm wondering if you have any experience with the Torriden line of K beauty, specifically the Torriden - DIVE-IN Low Molecule Hyaluronic Acid Skin Booster? Iâm looking for something light with lipids to keep my skin moist but not anything occlusive because I am prone to sebaceous hyperplasia + getting milia in my t zone. Thanks : - )
Heyoooo I do! About 9 days worth đ€Ł Full review coming at the end of the month haha!
Small spoiler: I really didnât think this brand would wow me (an HA serum? IâveâŠtried a few of those lol). Iâm already very, very impressed. It seems their basic-sounding products also include a lot of soothing and restorative ingredients. I *am* wowed, in spite of my skepticism!
Hi Alice, my question is off topic and out of season for you, sorry.
I would like to know if you have a video on, or can you recommend any products for extremely dry sore lips and dry hands that start to itch and sting? Itâs winter here in Australia and I havenât had such an issue with my lips and hands before. Iâm finding most products Iâm using do very little or make things worse.
Oh ouch, have you ruled out a skin condition like eczema? It might help to look for products labeled to relieve that (ingredients like soothing oat, products that are highly occlusive like aquaphor!)
I found the laneige cream skin at marshals tonight for 19$ the Neogen essence, iope stem 3 essence and serum and abunch of skinfix I got the 360 eye cream and the vanilla Koparie body wash with the pump the cream skin and sheets ..lol I found on clearance for 18$ . Hi Alice! I love your makeup in this video! I always thought you had a cool undertone but warm makeup looks great on you too! â€
I truly appreciated the review you did before on the roundlab dokdo toner. Itâs really overhyped by korean skinfluencers. I havenât tried it yet but thereâs really no selling point to it other than the political symbolism. And they really keep saying itâs the number 1 toner in olive young. Maybe you can go for green tea or propolis toners that have both hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties
Alice, how do you feel about the JIN JUNG SUNG Soothing Non-sticky Face Moisturizer Essence Serum ?
I havenât had a chance to try that! It sounds nice though
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I ordered it and have been using for a few days! I'm so glad I took the chance and bought it! Definitely a new favorite...if you have dry skin, you will love it!
I actually love Round Lab toners if not for the fact that I take eons to go through them!
This is SO true. Even my mini size is taking forever (likely because the mini is the size of a full size western toner LOL)

I just read this post where someone said that cosrx reformulated this snail essence. Do you have any info on that? It would be nice if they announced that. And yes, Laneige reformulated their toner, but many stores still have old packaging in stock. Apparently new version is less moisturizing
Iâve heard that but I donât see a difference in the ingredients. And yet Iâve heard itâs now thinner in texture than before. Maybe a source change of the snail mucin itself?
@@AliceintheRabbitHole maybe, who knows. I haven't tried this old version

how do you spell huahei (this is my guess)? Also, have you tried the toner pad version of anua toner? It contains PHA.
For the Laneige reformulated version, it's just a more hydrating and milkier version of the former one.
Hwahae but it looks very different in Korean. Iâm worried that I might be terribly misspelling it, but it kind of looks like âQlonâ on my phone (with dashes over the Q and o - goooodness Iâm painfully American đ đ )

I tried all of these and liked all but Numbuzin 3, as it had too much ingredients and oils, and the cosrx BHA as it did nothing for me, where I prefer stronger western BHAs. The anua is what I am using now and almost finished it, absolutely loved it.

Interesting, it seems we have had very similar experiences. Thanks for sharing!
I think weâre due an updated body skincare video soon
Hi. I placed my very 1st order of Korean skincare products on Stylvana but ordered the Cosrx snail mucin essence and cream on Amazon so it would arrive quickly.
I am not sure how to use them. Do I use both at the same time? Or one in the morning and one at night ? At what stage in my skincare should I use each? Sorry - rookie questions
Totally understand. I am still a newbie too. The essence follows the toner step especially if it's thicker. I think the cream you are referring to is the moisturizer/occlusive last step. Btw, I heard the cream is a little mattifying so it may be good for the summer if you're oily.
@mandywong1408 Thank you. Yes, I was using g both at night, but only the essence in the morning. I have dry skin with a T zone that tends to get oily as the day goes on. Appreciate you taking the effort to reply. Have a great evening!
How exciting, welcome to the world of K-Beauty (thereâs no turning back from here đ€Ł)
You definitely can use them together as Mandy said, but Iâll add an interesting tidbit with those two. Iâve noticed most folks end up preferring one or the other as a way of incorporating some snail mucin into their routine. I like the essence (again like Mandy said, the cream is a bit mattifying) but my partner ended up loving the cream!
@AliceintheRabbitHole Thank you ! My initial thoughts were that using both at the same sitting was just adding more of the same.
But it does seem to make a difference when applied at different stages.I guess I will play around and see what suits my skin.
I †the Dokdo toner. Itâs not mind blowing but itâs the simplicity I love. No bells and whistles, just gentle hydration. I love pairing it with the Dokdo lotion, another good simple and gentle product. Actually I love and use most of the Dokdo line, I use the cleansing oil, foaming cleanser, toner, and lotion. I promise Iâm not a shill I just really love those products lol Theyâre all really gentle basic products that do what they claim and nothing else and thatâs what Iâm looking for for most of my routine.
I tend to prefer really simple basic products for the backbone of my routine and then I let my serum and exfoliant do the heavy lifting. I feel like this approach leads to less bad reactions and also helps me see if my actives are actually working.
Thank you for sharing!
Numbuzin No.3 Toner broke me out. I had some pimple acne and cystic acne. Not for me.
I actually enjoyed my private school years (K-6). It was hard transitioning to public school but I managed to survive, lol.
It was!! Did you have to stand up when the teachers called on you? I learned that public schools donât do that by uhâŠby a humbling experience (Oh the horrors of an entire classroom laughing at you; scarring!! If only I had L-AA for the soul đ)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole No, we didn't have to stand. We did have to go the principal's office if we acted up and he always kept this thick stick on the edge of his desk for intimidation purposes.
Salicylic acid is more controlled in Korea than here (max .5% over the counter) thats why they use other forms of BHA. I remember when the cosrx bha was popular people said it was the equivalent of 2% salicylic acid. Idk how true that is. I donât really use BHAs.
Yeah I donât either. I always feel those âthis active % is the same as this different active %â conclusions a bit misleading, asâŠin what sense? I see it a lot with vitamin C and the C derivatives, but clearly the molecular differences change the outcome! I feel itâs better to talk about actives independently

Apparently the only research done on betaine salicylate was vivo testing done by the manufacturer showing 4% of betaine salicylate showed comparable effectiveness to 2% salicylic acid. I'm guessing people saw that and just ran with it.
Hearing that the Anua Toner has helped people with acne makes me want to open mine so bad. I have my first one of the Anua in the storage box but Iâm trying to finish up my other toners before opening another one haha
Also, what do you think about the COSRX BHA vs the Isntree Chestnut BHA, miss Alice? Both in results and texture wise. Iâm looking to slowly introduce a BHA products into my routine as I have a constant stream of Acne. But Iâm still somewhat hesitant as I donât want to be that young adult who starts BHA and immediately compromises their skin barrier XD
Side note: The only BHA Iâve used are in cleanser products at around 0.5%
Isntree alllll the way for me. But I should add, my skin has something like 6 years of experience with 2% salicylic acid (đ just acne things lol).
Itâs not just that part though, itâs that the pH is just a bit higher, which most older products donât do. Itâs only recent research that has shown salicylic acid doesnât have the same pH-dependent properties as AHA. As Isntreeâs is newer, they were able to formulate with that knowledge đ
I still like the cosrx, and I can absolutely see some people preferring it!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole ah thank you so much. I try to hunt for smaller sizes of the Isntree BHA at my local retailers whenever I get a chance.
Also thank you so much for mentioning the PH. I never even considered that as I just thought the COSRX would be gentler due to being Betaine Salicylate rather than SA. Might stay away from it as my skin seems to really dislike low PH products. (I canât really use Ascorbic Acid products as most of them seem to make me itchy and break out even more, have been trying to find Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate products its so hard to find in local stores in my country đ)
This is exactly what I mean that I would like Alice to put more of her opinion against this app's list ... like Isntree Chestnut is better than CosRx BHA in her opinion. Thanks for asking this question.
I patch test everything. I had a reaction to an eye cream so I am back to ALWAYS patch testing!đâïžâïž
Thatâs the smart thing to do! Sometimes I get lazy and end up regretting it đ
â@@AliceintheRabbitHoleSame
I got lazy last night since it was 1am or is that actually this morning.
Hi Alice, could you do a video on cleansing toners? The ones you can swab onto a cotton pad and wipe your face with. One recommendation is Acwell Licorice cleansing toner. Itâs great!
Ah i bought that one without checking the ingredients (đ€Šââïž has an allergen of mine đ°). But I did pass it along to my sweetie and she said itâs great!
A lot of people use the Round Lab Dokdo toner in that kind of way âșïž
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you. Iâll try this one out
I have wondered if teachers are still diagramming sentences. I đ getting into languages & their sentence structures.
I am curious about the products with simple ingredients lists like heatleaf.
âšThank you for highlighting these lovely toners! âš
It was so bizarre to see how much research there is into heartleaf! Itâs one of those ingredients I didnât think about much pre-Kbeauty, but now I wonder why we donât hear more about it in the west đ€
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I discovered through my supplement research that Gotu Kola is Centella Asiatica. Different regions have different names for the same plant. The source of the plantâs life cycle is what I consider when selecting these minimal ingredient toner & essence products. I am so in đ with Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella that I may end up adding some steps to my routine. Toners & essences feel like treats for my skin as opposed to treatments that I must use in a rigid way. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend!
Just wanna let you know that the ANUA toner is currently sold at 19.9, not 15.9. Do you know why that might be the case? Thanks for your help.
Is it showing correctly on your end now? I see the $15.90 price!
Yes. It is now. Maybe a glitch. Thank you for responding!
After some reading Iâve learned Dokdo/Takeshima are a pair of islands between Japan and South Korea who were fighting for their sovereignty. Itâs been controlled under South Korea Army force which Japan claims is illegal. So thatâs the political statement! Fascinatingly, there is ONE resident on the island, an 81-yo widowed Korean woman. Regardless of the political implications, thatâs so badassđźđź
Oh wow, thanks for sharing! Yes it is haha!
You don't like Beekman milkshake toner? Spray,I saw numbuzin girl, can't slip it by me!đ I wish you liked it betterđą
I love Beekmanâs toner! I do have to watch that I donât over-combine dewy products with it though, or I can start looking less glass skin, more âis that a human or a jellyfish?â đ€Łđ
I am jealous of the folks the Numbuzin works for! Iâve heard suuuuch good things
What product did you hold up at 14:09?
Dr. Ceuracle kombucha essence! Iâve talked a lot about that one, itâs quite a nice moisturizing essence
I am there with you. Private school!âïžâïž
Hi Alice âïž âïž
Speaking of apps ... is anyone using any skincare apps to track your experience on products?
Hmm that probably is a nice idea!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole would sure like to see CZcams review âșïž
What is the name of the app?
Hwahae, although I donât know how to type it in Korean (kinda looks likeâŠQlon? Iâm so sorry if Iâm terribly butchering this đđđ)
I learned diagramming sentences in public school. I liked it, was like a game. I guess I'm weird đ€·
It is like a game!
Numbuzin toner just gives a glow and did nothing to my skin! It only made it more irritating!
