    Great review. I have the same device, and love it. I upgraded from the original BIP, and the U pro is better in most respects. HOWEVER, there are two big points where the U pro is way inferior: the reflective display of the BIP was replaced by a LCD screen, which is not "always on" and isn't very well visible in bright daylight, and, in contrast to the original BIP, there is no way to display the GPS coordinates. Now THAT'S a real bummer, man. I hope it will come with a firmware update, though. How hard can it be?

    For sleep settings how do you set the fall asleep vs awake times? I found it once set it for 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. but it wouldn't read properly if I went sleep earlier or later then that time.

    Brother, can you please review accuracy of calories tracker? Does this watch take heart rate into account while tracking calories ? Please let me know this

    • @FitnessWithFrost
      @FitnessWithFrost  Před 3 lety +1

      Pretty much every fitness tracker uses its heart rate monitor to track burned calories with gender, height, and weight taken into account as well. As far as the most accurate companies with their own algorithms it tends to be Fitbit and Garmin leading the pack.
      Try to remember tho that the accuracy of calories burned is tough to make 100% accurate. If you are lifting weights the bands cannot take into account if it is a 5 lbs weight in your hand or a 30 lbs weight in your hand.
      I wouldn't say that this was an inaccurate calorie counter, but it isn't the most accurate. I know that really isn't the answer you're looking for, but I hope it helps.

    • @dibyajyothimishra6369
      @dibyajyothimishra6369 Před 3 lety

      @@FitnessWithFrost That's what my worry was. If I am lifting variable weights, now my HR will vary depending upon my exhaustion. If this watch tracks HR, then I believe it will show somewhat accurate data. So based on your experiments, I take it that the data it shows will be near accurate. So can you generally give an approximation of variation from premium brands if that's feasible.

    • @dibyajyothimishra6369
      @dibyajyothimishra6369 Před 3 lety +2

      @@FitnessWithFrost for reference I did a HIIT today of 30 min. As per the workout app, it was approx 450 cal, whereas this watch showed 345 cal. That was demotivating 😅. This was the precursor to these questions.

    • @FitnessWithFrost
      @FitnessWithFrost  Před 3 lety +1

      I can understand that you might feel a bit discouraged by that. Also you should know that sometimes when your body isn't fully recovered is a lot harder to get your body to function the same way it would if it was fully recovered.
      That would reflect on the effort given and if your heart rate isn't going as high on a certain day it might be because your body needs more rest

      A couple other good options good options are the Mi Band 6 and the Fitbit Charge 4. I definitely want you let you know, even if you do one this, that calories tracked on these devices will never be truly accurate. Its a combination of the accelerometer and your heart rate that it uses to identify when you are sleeping. I'm not 100% sure that's all it does, but that's what these watches typically do. I hope that was helpful.

    • @ivana9677
      @ivana9677 Před 3 lety +2

      @@FitnessWithFrost well, I want to do do walking daily, and of course, it will count my steps and calories burned from that. But when I turn on the jump rope mode, it counts calories burned from both jump rope and walking (since it counts steps (jumps) in the background). So it turns out that I do 2 workouts at the same time, and I end up 1000 steps extra steps that I didn't make. I hope you understand. For example, I burn 100 calories doing jump rope, but also some calories from those steps counted in the background. So at the end of the day, if my watch says I did 10000 steps, I have to consider I did 9000 steps.

    • @FitnessWithFrost
      @FitnessWithFrost  Před 3 lety +1

      Steps and jumping are kind of one in the same. It's awesome that you're getting a walk in and jump roping, but remember that steps taken isn't a pure measure of health. You can try and negate the steps taken in your jump rope workout and get those steps elsewhere, but try not to get hung up to much on the steps. Hopefully that helps. Good luck on your fitness journey

      Sorry it took a bit for a response. From the research I did it looks like the biggest difference is screen and battery life. The Bip S has a crazy battery life, but not a great screen. You will get a better screen and less battery life on the Bip U Pro.
      I haven't tested the Bip S personally, but I think I might get my hands on that soon. Hopefully that helped

      Sadly I'm not to familiar with the verge lite. I did see it was more expensive, but I haven't tested myself to really give a good recommendation either way

    I'm officially addicted to Monocashback - just got it for only $35 after a 50% discount and an extra $2 in cashback. This app seriously makes shopping feel like a game and I'm winning!
